Mustang GTD VS C8 ZR1: First Impressions (Rant)

The corvette is the newer version of a C7 ZR1. It’s an upgrade. The C7 shocked the world and so did the C8. The GTD is a 100% GT3 track car for the street.

ZR1 stomps the GTD... It's not even close. GTD has a GT500 poweplant and trnas and some suspension work.... ZR1 is a monster with a TT V8 with monster turbos.... ZR1 obliterates it

we should find out the nurburgring times for both the gtd and c8 zr1 in october. i think you'll be disappointed.

@@blackberrythorns Lol… Who cares about the Nurburgring 🤣 Theres tons of other real tracks that the zr1 will obliterate the GTD on… plus the GTD will lose bad in a drag race badly from a dig or a roll. Then you add in the aftermarket potential of both platforms and again the ZR1 has way more untapped potential. It’s really not close.

@@AJUSA1 the car manufacturers care about the nurburgring, that's why they test their cars there so much and everyone talks about those times. it's a very long and difficult track with loads of turns.
the gtd isn't a drag car, that's a completely different type of driving/racing. the gtd is built by a race car company, no after market required. the same company that built the gt that won le mans, builds the gt4 and gt3 race cars, the gt mk ii and gt mk iv track cars, the porsche 963 LMDh chassis... the amg one, aston martin vulcan...
