Driving down Adams Avenue here in San Diego I found one of there with a sign “Free” brought it home and it works except the input ether needs soldering or Jack needs replacement. I was going to look for a schematic to confirm the function of the jack as it appears to have 3 connections on the board.
Thanks for the comment. Great find! Have a look at all the solder connections and reflow on any that look suspect. I got my schematic from the following... www.thetubestore.com/lib/thetubestore/schematics/Fender/Fender-Frontman-15G-Schematic.pdf Hope that helps.
this is a great video, i have a shitty one of my own. i appreciate the upload tony! maybe one day ill figure out whats wrong with it. keep up the great content!
Hard to say without looking at it. Might be a grounding issue or cracked solder connections. If you have a multimeter, you could start by testing the fuse and power supply to make sure they are ok and go from there.
András Krausz thanks for your comment. Although my amp is the 15G without reverb, the 15R uses the same circuit board and has the reverb tank in the bottom. If it sounds fine without, I would first check the tank itself and make sure the springs are ok. Then check the solder connections on the wires leading up to the circuit board. The reverb section on the board is clearly labeled. If it sounds crackly, spray some electrical contact cleaner in the pots and rotate them back and forth

Thanks for your comment. Once I gather all the parts needed for the conversion, I will do this upgrade in another video. Thanks for your suggestion.
@@TonyBursey which components are needed?? Just to get them and be prepared for your project :D
Helllo I have some so much sizzle what can be wrong?
Can anybodi show me how the reverb works? I have disconnect it, now sounds good. Is possible tó repair the reverb?
