Brilliant work B. Rich. I noticed the aux. battery is a Hailong, my question is will it work with other Hailong main battery systems, or just specific to the HappyRun G50 & G60 bikes and their controller? Very good info for the e -bikers out there.
I ended up putting a Hailong 48V 30Ah battery in the stock location. It fit perfectly. Now im going to order a small 15Ah triangle battery and a battery combiner. I don't want to use a toggle because i want to have both batteries on simultaneously. My questions are; will the power draw properly from them one at a time and can i charge both batteries from the stock port on the main battery, or must they be charged separately?
I think so, but battery would be expensive, mind as well buy dual 52V battery Yolin for $1600 that faster, lighter, bigger batteries and better in so many ways ua-cam.com/video/y3XJkRnppJ0/v-deo.html
My g60 the brakes must have pil on them at some point terrible squeal from both have ask customer support they want me to take to a bike repair shop have it fixed and then get reimbursed. I'm not shure if I will keep it I don't have truck to get it around !I live in hilly area and always on the brakes both ways on my ride could use bigger rotors for shure with these big tires.
Hello B . Rich I just liked and followed all based on all the quality uploads you’ve contributed. I am torn between the 50 and 60 . I would use either of these options for both work ( I’m a delivery guy) and transportation. Is there a significant difference between the two ? If not , I’ll settle for the 50 and use the links you attached to purchase the 4 items to bump up the quality that much more . Thank you for your quality videos !
Don’t buy the G50 its slow. If you do delivery buy the Ouxi v8 with cargo rack to haul deliveries as the G50 and g60 don’t have cargo rack options amzn.to/49IVApt
I've got the new G60 2004 amyet but only comes with a battery key can you tell me how to turn on the display mine won't work seller isn't getting back to me
@@BRichSolutionif could go back and shell out the cash would you just get a another battery from happy run at $399 and just carry it in your backpack when you know your going long distance?
Hello there Sir, I am looking to add a second battery to my HR Tank G-50... I am looking at a couple of options when it comes to batteries... money is tight, and I am looking for as many Ah as possible. Now I got the peak 1500W G-50... Is it possible to run the second battery with the same setup as you did in this video with a 48v 1000w 20Ah battery... what I have on my bike right now is a 48v 18Ah.864Wh battery... the stock battery it came with
This is awesome!. Hey do you think this setup would work on the other brands that have the same bike ? My brother has a jansno and I'm thinking about getting another one, this makes this one the best . Thanks for the video.
I hace a happytun too. can i add a 48v 100ah battery to my existing 18ah battery using this battery combiner? it will be118ah total. is that possible? or the combiner has a limit on how much Ah you can add combining both batteries?
You won't have room for a 100Ah battery. Plus, the weight would be insane. I swapped my 18Ah Hailong battery on my G60 for a 30Ah Hailong battery in the stock location. Then I ordered the 15Ah battery in this vid with a parallel connector and connected it to the 30Ah battery. That gives me 45Ah, which is more than I'll ever need in a day with a 750W motor. I can literally get over a 100 miles if I stay on PAS2 and peddle occasionally. 👍
@@BRichSolution this depends on weight and other things. I rarely ride full throttle without peddling. I did 15 miles last weekend and still had plenty of battery left. My thought is.. is it worth it so spend $300 for another 12 miles?
Hello there love your videos! Helped me make my mind up in purchasing the g60, I was wondering you you could help me out, is there a way I can get more juice out of the e-bike as I live in a hilly area! It just needs that little extra that the g60 is lacking.
Does your G60 get to 30 mph? If so its configured to the max and nothing you can change after that. Its one disadvantage of Happyrun control you cant change the settings. You can try making this change to see if there is difference ua-cam.com/video/HYYYY_LncuM/v-deo.htmlsi=USulA_fiAwUd4zWO
Hi B Rich. I've recently bought the happyrun g50, and just ordered all the parts in this video to extend the range. Now I'm interested in upgrading to hydraulic brakes. Would you happen to know of a plug & play option available through Amazon?
If you want to retain the motor kill switch on the brake you need a set of hydraulic brake levers with SM connector wires which I cannot find on Amazon only Aliexpress s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DDdd4Md See video for how to install and connect ua-cam.com/video/3yeutM4HPyM/v-deo.htmlsi=ahfYYr9JcA3k0HHR
Is it possible to parallel connect the second battery to eliminate the toggle switch and be able to charge both batteries from the stock charging port?
@@BRichSolution if you do that does the battery will drain equally? I just purchase a second battery from happyrun and I would like them both on all the time. also purchased a 2000w front motor from alibaba. do can i put both batteries on both motors together?
I parallel connected a spare battery to my JupiterOne Defiant and I'm able to charge both batteries from the stock port. They're identical batteries, however.
G100 is not a good value. For $1799 you can buy dual battery dual motor yolin that is faster, larger batteries and 28lbs lighter. The G100 is steel frame and bike weights 110lbs vs yolin is 82 lbs ua-cam.com/video/y3XJkRnppJ0/v-deo.htmlsi=mj-TR1OFZUBy7fjA

Charge separate. Since batteries are different sizes wait for the 30Ah battery ti drain down to 50% before turning on the 15ah battery

Clean brake rotor with water and dawn dish soap and then wipe rotors with rag or paper towel with some alcohol

Full throttle is only about 25 miles so that is only 12 miles out and back. With extra battery you can go 40 miles and keep top speed for longer
