I don't regret ever colliding with Marilyn's music. It scared the shit out of me initially & then captured me in absolute awe! He had a total impact on my mind's expansion when his music came into my life. I loved the overall message he embody with his energy. It resonated with me blooming into my own liberation. I absolutely love how this man isn't afraid to appaul, repulse and be down right ugly! I've incorporated this into my own visual art here and there over the years and ppl absolutely hate seeing a woman looking twisted and ugly thru their art 🙄 It feels amazing to let go all the way like that, shock the shit outta ppl & break their stupid constructs of you and what they THINK you should be, look & act like. This guy was innovative and very intelligent back then. It is amazing to see just how low key, calm and actually shy this guy is. As he has said...it is all show and theatre. He used it his advantage and it has made him wealthy as well as an iconic artist...whether you like him or his music you cannot take away from his artistic ability to write and put it to work in a theatric show.
This was randomly suggested and I cannot believe the chance of it. I was at this show in the front row, iirc right side (stage left). This was their first tour solo, but I had just seen them the previous Halloween. Jim Rose Side Show, Marilyn Manson debut, and the headliner NIN. Awesome show and memories. Good times.
Such a great era for the band. Much love for all the originality daisy brought. I was at this show, watching this reminds me of how captivating they where....
Oh man....this was a killer show!! I was there and have talked about this to people. It was almost empty early that night at the beginning of his set (don’t let the video fool you, it was seriously empty), and it started filling up. I hadn’t heard of him at the time, but it was the 90s and The Abyss was the place to be on the weekends (if Fitz or Numbers had bad shows playing anyway). I remember sitting there like 20 feet from the stage and thinking this dude was amazing, I’m in my 40s now, those were good times to be a kid. In fact I married one of the bouncers there and we just divorced, hahaha. Nostalgic video....
My mom would beat my ass for finding anything Marilyn Manson in my room. I would wear his shirt under another shirt to go to school. And of course everytime I would forget that I had it on and go back home... Dinner would be ruined.
I'm sorry. That is not cool. A parent should educate themselves on the music their kids listen to and then they would realize it's actually good music and these musicians are actually really talented people! I mean, come on, Manson is an absolute genius if there is a God up there in the sky somewhere I'm ONE HUNDRED percent sure that God created Brian to be a professional musician. It just comes so f**king natural for him it's like he doesn't even have to try!

This is incredible. Thank you so much for this upload. I was an obsessed teen during the 90s and collected every Manson release, eventually moving on to bootlegs (back when you could order them from the back of rock magazines like Hit Parader). I usually stuck to demos and unreleased material, but this was the only live bootleg I had bought. It’s called “Trent’s Nasty Babes” and I still have it, though it’s scratched to shit now. But I know this audio like the back of my hand. Never thought I’d see the actual footage! This brings back so many memories. And the quality is surprisingly good! Thanks again, I’ll be busy watching this for the next hour or so haha. Awesome. So... so, awesome.
This might be the best performance of Dopehat I’ve ever seen. The keys are so beautifully prominent and MM looks like a proper mental patient throughout…perfection…

The first time I ever heard Manson was as the opening act for NIN on the further down the spiral tour. I loved it and saw them again on the POAF tour. Those were also two of the first concerts I ever went to and it took a long time before I could enjoy other shows. I had to come to the realization that these other acts aren’t boring, Trent and Manson were just insane.

Also, the next day the band showed up for a meet and greet at a vintage clothing store called Luv Street Diva. They had a chicken running around. I saw them 26 times. I could describe it but everyone will think I'm a slut even more than usual.
Jenn Righter Manson actually came up with the names. But daisy did write (or co write) almost all the songs from 1990 - 1995.
@@svfantom7776 naw ....we don't really care
@@jestermindcrime1773 Why would you even think of or say that? So weird...actually malice or something.
Damn i miss rock concerts in the late 90s early 2000s some of the best times. Things have changed so much
I stopped going to concerts after 2014, everyone just stands around with their cell phones now.
That's when I was finally able to see Manson in Maine was '04. Not too many get up that way, lol.
I was 19 years old and at this show. Still one of my favorite live shows. It's now sept of 2024 and this still feels like it was yesterday. Music and live shows were amazing back then.
Maybe the best concert on earth. Small venue. Manson at his finest. High as hell on who knows. Makes me actually depressed that I wasn't there.
Can you tell me what genre of music Is this? I know many metal fans listen to MM but i don't think it's a metal genre...or Is it what they call Nu metal?
industrial metal, check nine inch nails or rammstein @@sabrinadurando4498
It isn't for the faint of heart or thin skinned. You will absolutely be hated for it but you will also glean a power from that hate being projected upon you. They dont hate you...they FEAR YOU🤘 PS: love the Lite Bright boards for effect lol... and that chicken is just cool by association now 😂
When Manson was about the whole band. A true rock show. Glad to be apart of such a great time.
you can tell the bald security guy is a fan and sing along to his music ahaha, what a lad.
He is wearing a marilyn manson shirt he is their number one fan
DON'T YOU TELL YOUR MOM THAT I BROUGHT YOU HERE?.. 'CAUSE THERE AIN'T NO GOING BACK NOW =)
From Argentina, full of nostalgy, I salute you. If you are here you're in good hands
You know your making a serious impact when the security guards are singing along ! Seen this tour in a small club in Canada about 300 people were there and it was sold out. Greatest line up of this band period ! RIP Daisy! Fuck Cancer !
Damn this was his prime in my opinion. He still had badass performances up through Holy Wood but this was so energetic. Just a real rock show.
bouncers showing divers back into the crowd while reciting lyrics haha
I know! I think that's fucking awesome lol
Right! I noticed him when dope hat was being played and he was singing along and I was like wtf??!! :0 fuck yeah!
Lmao i loved that
That's Tony Wiggins not really a bouncer
blindmelonlemonjello Is that really him?
Saw them live many times here in Florida before they broke through and got signed ETC. hung out with them twice,Manson took my hat because he said he wanted to wear it on stage and he did before throwing it into the audience,Good Times and miss spent youth!
Been to the abyss at least 10 times in the mid 90’s. Best venue period. Nothing like getting thrown on stage then crowd surfing for a whole song! RIP Abyss! And Sorry Johnny 5, but no one can touch Daisy’s imaginary approach to guitar, one of a kind! RIP Daisy Berkowitz!
Hey Dave! Yeah Daisy was great. I started a petition to get Marilyn Manson’s ex to stop trying to get revenge on him. Can you sign it now? Here’s the link: chng.it/4NqwxKwtyK
It takes just a few seconds.
Even if she and he fought, I want to see Manson make his next album, not wind up losing all his energy and never making work again. He’s already mentioned wanting to quit music before, and even if he and she did have some disagreements, I really believe in people being innocent until they’re proven guilty, and the same goes for him.
Daisy berkowitz all the way . The best manson guitarist . To the person writing the petition . Brian wasn’t so nice to Daisy so fck him is what I say
RIP Daisy AND Gidget gein he should of been here :( he was so responsible for this band
Seeing this tour in 95 is still one of the greatest concert experiences of my life.
Need a time machine right about now!! Amazing show MM!
Nicolas, I have found a Time Machine in a way
More people should watch this. It's a must.
When did he say it’s all for show?
@@Jackp2003When hes asked if hes a sell out and he replies he sells out every show.
This is such an atmospheric concert! I regret that I was not born in those years.
As always, with Manson, simply, amazing !!!
You gotta love security that actually digs the music at the show
This was randomly suggested and I cannot believe the chance of it. I was at this show in the front row, iirc right side (stage left).
This was their first tour solo, but I had just seen them the previous Halloween. Jim Rose Side Show, Marilyn Manson debut, and the headliner NIN.
Awesome show and memories. Good times.
RIP Daisy. You were a fantastic song writer and deliciously dissonant metal guitarist.
Such a great era for the band. Much love for all the originality daisy brought. I was at this show, watching this reminds me of how captivating they where....
When artists are hungry for greatness , here it is !
I can't believe this video exists. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
was at this show. lordy that was along time ago
Thanks for posting - f'ckn awesome!!! ✌
58:43 The best performance vocal !!! :O
RIP Scott-(Daisy Berkowitz). 🖤😢
Another great lost tooooo soon
I'm so grateful I met him in 1995. He was the basis, brains, lyrics, guitar behind the entire band. Such an underrated talent.
@@JennRighter 100 percent he was a genius when he left manson it went to shit
@@JennRighter Manson wrote all the lyrics for portrait of an american family but daisy was defiantly behind the music
Scott was a cool guy.. Chatted with him a few times on Facebook years back (before he got sick) and took the time to answer my fanboy questions.. RIP
Thanks for uploading these shows from Houston's past. I still have my ticket stub from this show!
I watch this video a couple times a year.just wanted to say thanks for still having this on youtube for everyone to see.

Smart phones destroyed the crowd scene... this is how it suppose to be
10/10. This is the band I fell in love with back in the day.
The keys are so beautifully prominent and MM looks like a proper mental patient throughout…perfection…
its august 2020 and after watching this i never wished i could go back to the 90s so bad.
you cannot sedate all the things you hate.
We need something like this in 2023.
Amazing footage, thank you for sharing!!!!!!
Dude I swear I'd give anything to be able to go back to anytime between '95 and '99 to see Marilyn Manson live ESPECIALLY during the Antichrist Superstar era or dead to the world tour (Antichrist Superstar my favorite album of course) but unfortunately I was a '91 baby lol I swear the 90s was a fucking kick ass time for not only Manson but ALL music I mean shit rap, metal, pop everything music was so badass during the 90s there will never be a another artist/ band I love as much as Marilyn Manson or another decade ill cherish as much as the '90s....the only other artist I love as much as Marilyn Manson is probably my boi Tech N9ne so if ur ever at my house or riding with me chances are you're either gonna hear some Manson or Tech n9ne lol
I want to go back and see him a few more times also!
There was a lot of good LSD in those days.leanard hadn't been busted yet and the creativity of his crystal shows in a lot of artists
Holy shit, I used to go to this club all the time in high school. It was on Washington Ave. The neighborhood has been completely gentrified. R.I.P.
The Abyss! So many great memories! So much moshing!
Which bands did you see there?
@@chrisboston a chance to reminisce...Cannibal Corpse, Broken Hope, I-45...that's all I can remember...I was a teenager at the time. What about you?

Also, the next day the band showed up for a meet and greet at a vintage clothing store called Luv Street Diva. They had a chicken running around. Marilyn himself was very quiet and kept to himself, sitting on the floor under the display windows. I was too shy to ask him for his autograph but got all the others’ on my Portrait CD sleeve.
I still have that autograph. The chicken had paint on it, right? I remember it being green and purple.
Luv Street Diva...this thread is just full of nostalgia. I loved that place off Westheimer...good time to be alive. I remember that chicken!

So rare to actually see him playing guitar. And damn how much energy he had. Now THAT is a concert.
say what you want about the security guard with no hair but during “down in the park” he is handing out water, if you have ever been in the front row at a concert in the 90’s you know that is respectful
Portrait is definitely my second favorite! My gran bought it for me for Xmas!
did she listen to it with you?
I, like alot of other Manson fans, only got into them after they blew up. I've seen old clips but never a whole show. Great video.
Great footage. Loved the end end as well. So nice to see the absence of cellphones.
Oooh yes that's what I need!!! What a show that was!
Hard to believe this is nearly 30 years ago . God dam 😮
My first real concert! Incredible experience
I was supposed to see him in 99', but it got cancelled in Phoenix. I didn't get to see him until 2007....it was worth the wait 😃
So far the best live show I’ve seen on UA-cam🫶🏻
I just love how I can see the guards moving to the music. I don’t think I’ve seen that before or since, amazing😻

I’m half of the views
I love the way they open the show, that sound experiment is so eerie
They were great back then, no question! He didn't need all that goofy costuming and gimmicks back then. Great performer and really had a stage character that was original and one that you can't keep your eyes off of.
Still can
Did you miss the live chicken on stage lol
Well I mean they did still have gimmicks props and costumes. Also Manson took ALOT from Christian Death, Skinny Puppy, GG Allin Alice Cooper etc
when the spirit takes hold of the artist = real deal
Even when he makes silly faces, still perfect 😩😍

Thanks for the courage to pull this off.
This recording quality is awesome!! Classic Manson! Dope Hat and Wrapped in Plastic
He inspires me to do my own band, look how far he came.
Manson just released WE ARE CHAOS and this popped up on my feed shortly after...coincidence??!! I think not!!! 🤠
Daisey was such a driving force behind this band..Great guitarist.
Portrait of an American Family is so underrated

It's Manson's best album IMO. It's one of the best albums ever. I wish I still had my cassette. I've bought it on CD several times. Car wrecks and so called friends that steal CD's suck.
It's his best ablum😢
I was there. We used to go to the Abyss quite regularly. Before that, it was called the Vatican. Great little club for live music. Saw countless bands there throughout the nineties. Great show, by the way. The good old days.
this is incredible footage. manson was so on top of his game during this show. sad that my parents had barely even been dating at this point in time 😢😆 would have loved to see him during his earlier years.
