I have had the Accupoint for a few months now and it works perfectly, no falsing. As for ground balance, as other comments have said, it does take a second or two. You must have a defective pointer.

It takes a second or two to ground balance a pinpointer, HOLY SHIT!!

I had the profind35 before the accupoint and I prefer the nokta. Mine doesn't act like his in the video. It definitely seems defective or something is going on with it. I just turn it on up in the air and it it'll hit targets before digging up to 3-4 inches depending on the soil. I've hunted with a buddy whose mi6 wasn't hitting anything in his hole after he dug but and he tried to see if mine would hit on anything and it had a clear signal with the nokta for some reason

I've learned a lot from watching your vids. So thanks for all the information. That being said (lol) I couldn't disagree more with this one. I have the Accupoint and love it. Works perfectly, and pairing with the Legend headphones is awesome. Its got to either be your soil or a defective unit!
I could take or leave the screen, and can't deny the menu is a little obnoxious. I actually like the discrimination factor, I can go straight to the goods instead of wasting my time chasing a nail in the hole trying to find a coin.

The accupoint is prejudice and only wants to work with nokta products. I ordered one bit it appears I will go back to my quest Max's. I really love those pinpointers.

When ground balancing the Nokta, you have to press the button and let it do its thing for a sec or two...
You just press the button and lift it into the air right away.
The unit doesn't have a chance to read the ground and beeps like crazy in the air because your not allowing it to scan the ground.
Slow down... Relax, there's no rush or prize for first place hahaha

If this is the case we have to hold the pinpointer on the ground for 1 to 2 seconds to tune it on every target, I highly doubt many detectorists would want to use and especially purchase the Accupoint. I do not need to fuss with the other pinpointers like that. Some people cannot handle the truth.

@@PaystreakSuperfreak You can also put the tip of the pinpointer on the ground when switching it on. This will do an automatic ground Balance. So, there is no need to wait 1 to 2 seconds if that is such a big issue for you. I hope this helps you. Thank you for all the great video content and tips over the years. I have learned so much from you.

I'm honestly a bit disappointed in Nokta nowadays. I feel that they went a bit to far in all the models and choices available and not far enough in the actual working of all the items. They have 3 different mono-frequency, 2 multi-frequency and 1 'high-end' detector in their current range (not counting the older models like the Anfibio or Simplex+), and two pinpointers.
In all those devices you have lots of options and possibilities but I feel that they are all still in, or just beyond, bèta version. And they keep adding stuff. I think it would be best that Nokta took a step back and have a good look at what they put on the market. Perhaps only one monofrequency, one multifrequency and one high-end would be sufficient? But make those the best you can (and we know they can 🙂 ) in your own way and not just dump devices on the market to counter your competition. Be your own brand! Same for the Accupoint, don't put in a lot of things we don't need (Iron filter on a pinpointer???) or a color display (why would I want to have that? Unless you add Netflix to the Accupoint 😀). Instead make a decent, sturdy, easy to use pinpointer that does wat it must do : pinpoint your target, nothing else.

Frikn spot on well said Walter. Everything you just said, most of us can 100 frikn percent agree with. We just need a pinpointer that is going to pinoint targets, why try to reinvent the frikn wheel. There is a big difference of what end users want and what they actually need, Nokta has lost the ability to focus on the needs of the end user. These new features on these detectors are coming from noobs. All these new Nokta detector models will probably be discontinued in a couple years. Look how long the Simplex Plus and Anfibio were in production...only 3 years. I still think that Nokta is on top of the game when it comes to value in detectors.

I think the three herpes simplex machines was over kill, just put Bluetooth on the lite and release it with the ultra, the simplex bt is dumb, if you want turn on and go get a lite if you want options go with ultra, we really didn't need 3 just 2
I guess that's what they did with the scores, I guess one is turn on and go and one has options
I'm a huge fan of the legend, even though I recently got a deus 1 to play with, my legend will be a trusty backup when I just want to go, already got the options how I like mostly

@@digginggopherI like the legend too, it was my main detector for more than a year and it still will be my backup of choice. But I upgraded to a Deus 2 and honestly, there's no comparison. Totally different machine and better imo (but as it costs 2x as much, that should not be a surprise)

Did you get your Accupoint from the beta testing program? They had a series of them that were recalled due to problems. The unit that I have works perfect and I also use it with Bluetooth headphones and have had no issues detecting targets. I also own a Tectronics pulse pinpointer and the Nokta Pulsedive pinpointer with no problems. You probably got a bad one and should contact Nokta.

When hunting in highly mineralised soil, it also works when you keep the tip of the Accupoint on the ground when switching it on. This will do an automatic ground balance. So no need to waste time balancing it after you switch it on.

The screen on the Accupoint was a very bad idea. The menu is very slow and almost all the extra features are completely useless. Who the hell is going to use discrimination on a pinpointer?? The XP pinpointer buttons do get packed with mud very easily and the button is just so so small. O find myself having to look at the XP pinpointer to find the button when I pull it from my holster. The Garrett has a certain shape, I can pick the Garret up while blindfolded and find the button instantly.

One point about the MI6 and the simplex+, even though the simplex+ nruns at 12kh and does interfere with the MI6, the MI6 is still usable if the detector is muted. In other words it interferes with the detector not the MI6. Why is the Accupoint 20kh? I don't get that at all. I also don't get why they put a screen on it.

    • @PaystreakSuperfreak

I was not able to get my XP pinointers to shut up around the Simplex+. When you mute the Simplex, it is still emitting a signal that will interfere with other detectors.
