ORIGINAL VERSION PRODUCED BY: Phivestarr Productions/ DJ KO for Colt Ford & Brantley Gilbert / phivestarr www.phivestarr.com/ www.djko.com/ / officialdjko
Everyone's bashing on Jason Aldean for "stealing" this song...yet when you listen to interviews of Brantley Gilbert he admits that once a song is out there, anyone can record it and that he himself is happy that Jason Aldean recorded the song and had a number 1 hit with it!....They have no problem with each other why are all of you??....geesh, just enjoy the music!!!
WOW DOSENT DESCRIBE THIS ....IM LISTENING IN 2021 FOURTH OF JULY. ...THANK YOU REALLY APPRECIATE THIS VIDEO AND THIS MAN AND HIS MUSIC.... PLUS HIS COLLABORATION WITH COLT FORD🙏❤🌹👍 AWESOME AND AMAZING
hell yea Ive worked security for both of these guys. they really pack the house at the Ozone/Old city saloon in covington. its always fun having acts like them play at our house
Yeah, what you don't realize is JA had to get Brantley's permission to even cover the song. Therefore, he didn't steal it... But anyway, this was an awesome video! Let's you see a part of the process that one rarely gets to!!! Love me some Brantley!!!! He reminds me of my hubby
I think that Brantley and Colt did a great job on this song but I think Jason took it to another level when he made it more country. No matter who wrote it or originally sang it, it's out there right now and it's a great song.
Colt ford is the best rapper i have ever heard. Im rebel to the bone! but he makes slap crazy songs. Brantley Gilbert is amazing. I had to drive 45 minutes into a city to even find his cd. That aint right. Hes way to good to not have his cd every where
great laid back country riff. Colt Ford's style may be a little for me, but man Brantley Gilbert is a talent. He can do laid back tracks like this and "shes my kinda crazy" and is one of the few artists whose mastered the country-rock song (look at kick it in the sticks or GRITS). Love this guy
Jason should have used that same riff that Brantley used. If you listen to Aldean's version, he doesn't have that same laid-back riff that Brantley uses, its a lot slower and doesn't have that same feeling that Brantley's does (1:03-1:13). My favorite part of Brantley and Colt's version is how laid back it feels, gives the song more feeling and its not as manufactured and studio-like as Aldeans. If you havent heard much of Brantley, listen to "My Kind of Crazy", another good one. He's a talent.
I hear about these guys all the time from the boys at work, never really paid attention to them till the other day I heard Jason Aldeans version....both did an awesome job, I love both versions and Jason Aldean is really gonna drive up their notoriety!! Say what y'all want about this not being "country" but it is!! Cause how we grew up they told the story right...even when we were young jamin out to "do or die" one min. We'd be listening to George jones the next!! It's dig at the heart of bein
so It strikes me that ya'lls getting mad at Jason for no reason his manger came to him to do a cover of this song and being that he respects colt ford and Brantley he called them and asked for their blessing before a agreeing. the 3 of them have even play this song together. they are friends and respect each other so get ur head outta ur a$$'s and grow up its a good song no matter whos singin it! ya'll r ridiculous! they're all amazing artist!!
the ORIGINAL dirt road anthem was im chillin on a back road laid back rollin to some george jones then when they did the revisitation on brantleys album they changed to to chillin on a dirt road swervin like im george jones... i still sing the first version every time i hear it..
@mickey1071 I live in the South, and down here we know how to have a good time. People look down on us like we're dumb and don't have any sense, but in reality, we know how to take care of ourselves and not depend on items you can buy. If theres a food shortage, we can grow our own. We stick together here better than anywhere else. Like he said, "if its broke, we fix it." That applies to all aspects of life here in the South. So yes, this is how America SHOULD be, and is, here in the south!
Both the Jason aldean and brantley colt versions are great it just depends on if you like the hip hop sound more or the country sound more. who cares if Jason's made it to the radio first or not as long as the song is being heard.
The riff in this song is what brings back memories... special in the beginning and the end.
Yess the old riff
Everyone's bashing on Jason Aldean for "stealing" this song...yet when you listen to interviews of Brantley Gilbert he admits that once a song is out there, anyone can record it and that he himself is happy that Jason Aldean recorded the song and had a number 1 hit with it!....They have no problem with each other why are all of you??....geesh, just enjoy the music!!!
"what y'all doin?"
"We watchin' the race!" LOL
WOW DOSENT DESCRIBE THIS ....IM LISTENING IN 2021 FOURTH OF JULY. ...THANK YOU REALLY APPRECIATE THIS VIDEO AND THIS MAN AND HIS MUSIC....

@MrMasta23 I agree. When it gets hot, it gets REALLY hot. We're all a little different, but when it comes down to it, we have the same values.
the first song is Coltford's "ride through the country"
great laid back country riff. Colt Ford's style may be a little for me, but man Brantley Gilbert is a talent. He can do laid back tracks like this and "shes my kinda crazy" and is one of the few artists whose mastered the country-rock song (look at kick it in the sticks or GRITS). Love this guy
Brantley has mad dancing skills. ;) And Mr. Ford is a se$y beast!

Jason should have used that same riff that Brantley used. The publicly said all three of them that there was no beef... But My honest opinion, BG and Colt's cut is way better

Both the Jason aldean and brantley colt versions are great it just depends on if you like the hip hop sound more or the country sound more. who cares if Jason's made it to the radio first or not as long as the song is being heard.
