Ive been working on this as well... I'm not quite as good as you though. It really does as you say require a certain rhythm. I have found that the more you can shift your weight into the press we (while staying balanced) the more you can really spring off the nose and tail of your board to give you more travel in each step. Great video Ashley. Loving the content.
well explained about keeping your knees rotated outward so they are more or less in-line with your toes. This is good for your knee and stability. Subbed!
Great Video! I have tried penguin walk last season and I was not able to make large steps at all. After watching your video, I think I am not shifting my weight from leg to leg. Will try it on the snow. Thanks!
Thanks so much for putting this together. I'm looking forward to taking my penguin walk to the next level!! These tips are going to help for sure!!! Looking forward to the next vid!! 🤙🐳
This is so informative! I’m going to give this a go in a couple of days and see how I get on. It’s great to see female snowboarders making tutorials on UA-cam. Would love to see more videos in future from you. I have subscribed - from New Zealand 🤗
You need some strong legs for this. I tried the first time I went snowboarding, thought I could do it easy but it was real hard. Thank you for the progression tips!
Thanks for the subscribe! And yes, for sure! It makes it easier to lift those tips off the snow. At least, that was my experience. But even with a stiff board, you can penguin walk well and it’s just as useful.
This is a skill i need to learn
You got this ell
its essential! get learning in quarantine its do able
It is really useful and it does unlock a lot of butter tricks
You must unlock this achievement. Ell i wanna see it on your grass on your trainer board.

Nice video. Good tips. I’m trying to clean my penguin walk up as well. 🤙🏼
Very nicely explained Panda Girl 👍🏻
That's something I've had difficulty with always

Hi! Which go pro are you using? 👌
I’m actually using an Insta 360 camera. I believe this video was shot with the Insta360 One R!
Just subscribed, good stuff ! Also would you say it’s easier to penguin walk the more flexible you board is?

Snowboard Panda gotcha gotcha will give it a go next time thanks!

Good explanation and demo.
Thanks a really great explanation of how to do this skill that until now I’ve been rubbish at! I’ll give it a go next week in France.
Hope it went well! It definitely takes some practice and reps to get it down.

Not easy at all. Curious what's wrong with my body.
It’s not a natural movement! Definitely takes a lot of time for it to start feeling easier and better.
@@SnowboardPanda surely not. Know it's taking time. Unfortunately snow season is almost in the end here, s.Korea. Thanks for your reply.
