To the people who asked why Polyphemus was smiling is because when Odysseus told him his name, Polyphemus could now say, oh I dunno, curse him, or tell posidon to kill him, or send things to kill him, etc etc. Ya know, minor things like that
I think the smile at the end was one of my fave parts! The whole "boi you FUCKED up" stomach drop oh shit moment of pure knowing what's going to happened because he said his name in the last moment
Reading your thoughts while watching the storyboard vs the animation is so interesting. You're honestly spoiling us with the high-quality amount of Epic: The Musical content, tsym T-T
with the visuals now i feel so much more emotion from the song i love this so much ive been waiting so long for epic to be published im so happy with everything coming out of it :')
You really are a master at emotions and expressions! You wrote at the bottom about the expressions and why they are like that but somehow, just by watching your animatic, I knew what each expression was telling and that is beautiful! Love your work, can't wait for more!

In my mind there is nobody more worthy to make an animated movie out of this musical than WolyTheWitch. My proof is 3:28. He stares down the cyclopse,, the weight of his friends death sinking in and the fury and sadness warring inside of him is so perfectly reflected in the stone cold look on face. I dare say that panel could be the cover for this musical.

God its not just your art and lines that bring emotion and interest- its the way you plan the "shots", the positions you put the characters in, the small motions from others in the background, the way you use perspective and size to make things seem utterly terrifying. You're so very skilled 🙏 thank you for sharing your steps and just your art in general, its so inspiring and just overall incredible to watch

Ahhh, in all honesty these storyboard/finished product side-by-side videos where we get to read the thoughts behind some of the frames and visual are my favote to watch on your channel. Like-- don't get me wrong, the animations themselves are already top-notch! But hearing the extra thought put into certain shots (ex: the subtile zooming in at 0:09. I hadn't noticed it before but when it was pointed out, suddenly the scene felt that much more realistic!!) I just adore it all. Thank you for sharing!

I love how you changed the last shot of Odysseus from the hanging rope to him resting his hand in the sword. It gives him a more regal pose and feel rather than the adventurer/pirate vibe of the other one
