- Some notes! a snippet! I think this is one of the coolest animatics I've done just because of the different stuff I tried haha. Definitely made it harder for myself though by not using nodes but ah well

It’s very impressive how much thought you put into a 4 minute animatic. Seeing storyboards of animatics and learning about the thoughts behind the animatics and storyboards makes me respect artists patience so much.

The sheep are too cute to die. If I'm honest they deserved what he wanted to do to them.
An interesting detail from the original was that Polyphemus wasnt using the sheep for meat but rather specifically milk and whool. So killing his favorite sheep may uave meant taking a rather long lived one.
I KNEW IT, WHEN I SAW THAT SHOT OF THE HAND SLIDING OVER THE RIM I KNEW THAT WAS THE MOTIVATOR! It was so well done, and is also my favorite part, its just so good and smooth and just perfect for the lyrics!
And of how each character looks hotter when they bow and smile
Oh gosh I didn't know Odysseus had a wedding ring till I saw the note at 2:01 LOL!

I would love to make more animatics in general but I always put too much detail into the rough pre-Animatic storyboard so I end up losing inspiration but it’s really cool to see how loose you are with the initial storyboard and then the refinement in the Animatic! Well done!

This is really cool! I personally love your animatic style the most out of all the others I've seen. They're smart and have incredible shots. The real bread winner though is the amazing facial expressions and emotions you're able to convey. I leave your animatics playing in the background when I study sometimes, so uh, you're welcome for the extra views I guess :3c

Maybe it wasn't as detailed or informative as some people's storyboards, but honestly I sketch things similarly because I have a good idea of what I'm thinking of just by seeing the basic shape reminders so it's relatable 😅 A good excuse to see the animatic and hear the experimental music again, too ;))

I really like the bit where he leans on the wine barrel. I could eat that frame up in seconds.
The shots that you have in this are absolutely fantastic!! You make sure to make use of your camera in almost every shot, especially with showing the viewer just how much of a threat the giant is through his sense of scale. I can't get over the use of the upshots/downshots, especially when Theseus feels more cocky, the camera shifting to underneath him to show he feels like he has the upper hand? Ugh, your visual storytelling is so good.

Odysseus is just sexy, period, but yes, especially when he smiles and bows. And I wish more people gave insight to the way they animate, it's just so fun to see! And to see where someone began versus where they ended up.

This is just a vr video. As animator I find it hard right after you have your reference to go on because you might have other ideas later on but then you don’t have the easy way to draw the perspective and the rest
