Man it is amazing how good this thing looks from where you started. You have turned this thing into an absolute fish catching gem. Nice work. Tight lines and Be blessed.
jon boats are first ballot hall of fame. we all either had one , dad had one , uncle so on. we all fished in them and we bitched but at the end of the day we had a blast.
Great job! I’m doing the anchor system you have and I got a few other ideas from you also. Thanks for the tips. I think I have the same cover, and I thought it was also not tightening, but after finally figuring out how the strap goes through, it does tighten. I had to look it up how it goes through. Let me know if you’ve got it or not.
I'm glad I could help! That cover has been replaced. It lasted a couple seasons before it ripped with an ice storm. What I ended up doing was just tying the straps at the needed length so all I had to do with buckle them and go. I'm sure I didn't put the buckles on right from the start though lol
Yep. It started october 1st but only been a handful of times due to the hot weather we have had for most of the month. Halloween to veterans day are my go to dates to get out
@@BeardsAndBowsOutdoors ya its been warm down here to bud well good luck hope to see it again i got mine all buttoned up now.I always watch and like your videos too take care and stay safe
I've seen several trying to convert jon boats into bass boats (raised fishing platforms, etc), with the results not very stable. Bass boats are usually wider to reduce such instability, with the raised fishing platforms often lower (than those installed high over the seats in jon boats) to again reduce instability. Just an observation, not a criticism.
I'm used to standing on tiny boats, even my inflatable sea eagle. When I stand on a bigger boat it's very stable to me compared to what I'm used to. My 1436 build turned out great but my 1648 will be even better
I'm with you. I mean they're nice rigs but there is so much weight added that is high on the boat. Like you said, unstable. The next thing that happens after adding 500lbs of stuff on the small boat is they are using GPS to see how fast it is and wonder why it's so slow. To each their own I guess.
The green and red lights need to be on the corners of the bow... The light cant be seen from sides very well and coast guard will complain... I used 6 inch. One on side and one on front and they met at corner and work perfectly and no coast guard complaint

Question: Your running lights are NOT visible from the side, are they valid?
I added short led strips to the sides

I want one !!🙆♂️🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️
Question is how long do your batteries last? Thats alot of electronics
The troller will go almost all day on the 2 batteries. I've yet to drain the battery for the fish Finders etc
Anchors holders need info
The anchor system? It's attwood brand. I have a link in the description

I agree. Wood weighs alot more than aluminum
best thing to do with a drain plug, is to glue that ****** in so that it will never come out again !

Thanks for looking out.. I will probably add some side navigation lights to what I have already. That gorilla glue is no joke
Dwf
Dwf?
Looks great. Not a fan of the fire extinguisher in the spot where the fire would be.
Alot are located in the back but you bring up a good point. I will probably add one to the front of the boat as well. 🙌👊
