The funny thing is while I agree with the "don't be greedy rule, I actually deal with Cymanti almost the exact opposite way. Like, I play aggressive early, then play defensive later. It's just more about using riders and archers instead of defenders or catapults, and stay just out of range where I can kill everything, but they struggle to kill me. Funnily, my "don't be greedy" rule is more about choosing when to attack and when to focus on eco rather than being about making sure you have your army

Makes me realise most of my play is set around getting shields as fast as possible to secure towns, basically just a turtle defense that would probably get wiped by anyone other than the cpu :p
Cymanti struggles against normal tribes in the endgame. Doomux is super threatening but Knight outclasses it hard. Knight with roads outranges boosted doomux and it can only attack one thing at a time without suiciding. Knight destroys groups of hexapods and can chop up long centipedes. One good chain can force a win
Good video, but don’t you think that the Cymanti player primarily lost because their village spawns screwed them over so much? I mean, look at your village density in comparison to theirs, that just doesn‘t look fair…
I feel like the fact that polytopia even posted this on their dev log or whatever just further shows that cymanti needs work bc I feel like a majority of the time it’s an easy loss against cymanti to the point where I’ve only won once in multiplayer games. Like, I’ve only ever won ONCE and the fact that the devs have to nudge us into this “oh here’s how u defeat them” doesn’t help what seems like stuff that should be fixed like the aquarion tribe just having mobile shooters that are pretty OP to the point where it’s the entire server versus them and none of us are gaining ground.

not sure if you mentioned it but seems like you got archery early on and the defense bonus is crucial against boosted hexapods
Yes, the defense bonus is key so your units don’t get one shotted. And archers are pretty good too lol
Look at their starting score. If it’s 630 they could be Polaris or cymanti and most likely they are cymanti😂😂😂 love ur vids😎

Yes, I got a good spawn which helps; however, there were still multiple paths for either player to win or lose this game.
