Neal Jones Rick Grech, good bass player but no Jack Bruce. Damn straight but that's alright because this band has three of my favorite musicians and they were great as a whole.
I'll give Ginger Baker his due, but Michael Shrieve who was the early drummer for Santana was the best I've ever heard, of course I believe Carlos Santana to be a better guitar player than Eric Clapton. I'm just asking for it with my favorites but each to his own taste.
Many times I feel like myself but at 17 years old, in that unforgettable 1969. About to start the magical and mysterious tour through life, convinced that I would never grow old. Not me, not my friends and, of course, that we will never die. One of the reasons for this kind of Eternal Return to my spirit at that time, ever jovial, confident, overflowing with vital energy, sun, joy, is 'Can't Find My Way Home', which we had all heard for the first time the night before, on a mythical radio program in Spain, called 'Vuelo 605', which we always commented on enthusiastically. Because Eric Clapton had founded this amazing "super group". Blind Faith. Wow. Today I dedicate that song and this incredible video of the Hyde Park concert to my dear old friends José María, Mariano, Anastasio, Pin, Prieto, José Ramírez (both José Ramírez) and especially to those who I knew were gone. Nando, Reyes, Toñas... I hope you found your way home easily. Do you remember Rocío and Paloma, those two girls who were as friendly as they were beautiful who let us spend hours in the vinilo's section of the neighborhood supermarket, listening to Credence or Blind Faith without ever or almost never buying anything, because we barely had money? I remember them as if I were seeing them now. And to you. Come with me, let's enjoy Blind Faith together once again. Love U guys.
Love the raw sound of Steve's voice. Don't really care if his voice isn't perfect just really enjoy the moment in time. Great times back then. I am 61.
I heard Clapton say once that they hadn't had enough time together to be as good and tight as they wanted. He said that they never caught up. It's like Mr. Winwood thought his vocals weren't loud enough and he was shouting. Still a hypnotic performance. I think being forced to wing it was good for Clapton. He says he always wished he had stuck with it.
I agree that ginger Baker is a genius, misunderstood and under rated. The other under rated thing on this film is the beauty of a summer's day in England. This was a lovely afternoon.
Any nature loving Brit would never underrate the magic of a sunny British summer. I've travelled all over the world, lived in many countries and still rate British summers (when the sun shines!) as the most magical. Add to that this top tier Brit super group and it's heaven on Earth!

I don't think any of them had reached their prime at this point. Certainly not Winwood or Clapton... Baker I think has been God on the drums since birth. But seriously, they all improved drastically as musicians as they developed throughout the years following this band.
@@humanimal5527 No, they clearly came INTO their prime in Blind Faith. That much is clear. Very good ! Steve, great voice ; Eric, the best; Ginger, great drummer and Rick, an excelent bass player (listen to the track "Well All Right, a lesson of bass...)

Very nice, ‘light-on-it’s-feet’ playing ☺️ Very nice filmmaking in the tradition of the time. A very enjoyable hour all round, several times over 😂 One of many particular highlights: the way Clapton exploits the changes cleverly in his solo in ‘Under My Thumb’.
great songs. i like the atmosphere that was-created by the music no lights no video walls. just the music. one thing i did notice. if ginger baker didn't have a ride cymbal i don't think he could have played nit every song needs that kind sound. ginger seemed to be in his own world playing whatever rhythm or beat.
Eric's guitar is subtle and masterful. Stevie voice is great. Who cares about imperfection it's raw passionate and immensely soulful. If you compare this to stevie n Eric playing this century and it's souped up strat tones and far more show bizzy. Eric is tasty as hell on this. More like pure r and b playing. Rather than souped up showboating for the masses.
When they announced Under My Thumb, I was thinking, "brother just like any other lousy cover band, give me a break" Then Winwood started singing and it was like "ohhh, nooo it's not just any cover band" He's even better live than on record.

blind faith eased the cream withdrawal
Steve's voice is so nice that cracks just gives the song character. Song lyrics 👹 I would have loved being there. Everyone knows his is voice one of a kind ❤️
songs lack that character and soul now.. Its so sad the state of music now
amazing quality!!
Very good ! Steve, great voice ; Eric, the best; Ginger, great drummer and Rick, an excelent bass player (listen to the track "Well All Right, a lesson of bass...)
MONSTER BAND OF A GREAT ERA !!!!☠️☠️☠️
I'm with you on this one and I'm 61
WOW Great Sound and Video Quality...EXELLENT👍
This brings back sweet memories.
What a badass performance
This is one of the reasons this woman, born in '66 cried (literally) for a year straight in HS in the 80's that I born too late. 2024, and I still feel this way. But right now I'm swimming in a "Sea Of Joy" 😁💃🏼
Love it 10 groovey [eace incredible drummer and band
Very nice, ‘light-on-it’s-feet’ playing ☺️
Very nice filmmaking in the tradition of the time.
A very enjoyable hour all round, several times over 😂
One of many particular highlights: the way Clapton exploits the changes cleverly in his solo in ‘Under My Thumb’.
great songs. i like the atmosphere that was-created by the music no lights no video walls. just the music. one thing i did notice. if ginger baker didn't have a ride cymbal i don't think he could have played nit every song needs that kind sound. ginger seemed to be in his own world playing whatever rhythm or beat.
Músicos espetaculares...legado único....incomparaveis individualmente.Juntos ,uma banda única
Great guys!!!!,sweet reminds of hyde park, thanks a lot!!!!
Great musicians!Thank you guys!!!
Cuando la música se hacía con el alma en constante búsqueda espiritual...
The calm atmosphere in the park , wow !
RIP GINGER TOP Ten Videos the bAND
Absolutely amazing 🙌
Great sound on this outta sight clip!!!! u go BLINDFAITH!!!!!
Great film.
I did like the name Blind Faith, I found it apt.
When they announced Under My Thumb, I was thinking, "brother just like any other lousy cover band, give me a break" Then Winwood started singing and it was like "ohhh, nooo it's not just any cover band" He's even better live than on record.
one of the best bands ever; other traffic
Listening to this at Conical Hills Saw Mill in the late 60s. It sounded good then and sounds even better now
