I would also if possible I'd like to see him make this into an RPG where you can make your own character not just have the original characters as well but I wish I had the skills to do what he's doing

Now all that's needed is gameplay, skills, story progression, weapons, weapon customization, a city slowly turning zombie, key items, limited inventory, and random recurring encounters including chases by Mr X, elephant, axe man, lion, and Nemesis. The dream is slowly becoming reality.
Hope he can make a game rule like survive from ground zero to day nuke to leave raccoon as a normal resident not a hero
If it has like Outbreak Mode, definitely. Party of 4 exploring Raccoon City to a destination for different scenarios.
If it's another FPS Arena... ummm, not for me.
If it's a team/solo fight to get to the finish line, before the city gets nuked, sounds fun.
Honestly a Resident Evil Open World is something I didn't know I needed ..
the RE community is insane with passion when it comes to Resident Evil. The fact that so many people pour their time and soul into creating amazing pieces of art for other RE lovers to enjoy shows how much the community really cares about Resident Evil. I hope Capcom comes to understand this, because we should have been gotten an open-world Raccoon city experience. Capcom, it should be pretty obvious what the fans want by now.

Thinking of how many places that were cut from the official re 3 remake , it really makes this fan open world project even more necessary.

A Resident Evil open world game would be amazing. And the fact that this is based off the S.D. Perry books makes it even more amazing.
I was personally hoping the RE3 remake would be that. Maybe not open world in the scale of horizon forbidden west but bigger than what we got. Imagine the city at night and possible hordes accumulating and chasing you as you try to escape….that game had so much potential
The issue I have with the idea is it kinda ignores everything the RE games are about which is super tightly designed maps that have lots of puzzles you need to solve to even get around and tailor made scares that hit at just the right moment limited supplies where there's just enough to make it through the game with some smart resource management you can't do any of that with an open world.
Besides everything is open world these days even things that don't work as open world games like Uncharted where the dumb semi open worlds just tack on unneeded playtime filled with travel time.

HELL YEAH! Been wondering if we'd ever get a fully recreated Raccoon City for a open-world game. Perfect way to tell the FULL story of Raccoon City's downfall.
Raccoon city kinda reminds you of the Ukraine. At the end of RE3 on the PS1 the news guy says '100,000 dead in Raccoon city from the nuclear incendiary device'. That's roughly the same that's been killed IRL in the Ukraine. It's weird how loads of missiles have the exact same destructive power as a nuclear device. Putin has literally effectively launched an RE3 style nuclear device on the Ukraine this year. Just spread out over 10 months instead of 10 minutes. It's got nothing to do with RE, but Putin is one crazy mother.

This project is brilliant, because if it works out, in addition to being able to explore a huge map of Raccoon City, fans will be able to contribute to several Raccoon City stories. If this was an official Capcom game, this would be a perfect idea for an Outbreak 3 Coop.
I think if a project like this was given to Massive Entertainment they would knock the ball out of the park. The engine for Division 2 seems perfect to make a post apocalyptic Racoon City. The possibilities would be endless. This is a step in the right direction for sure and looks amazing.
Keeping the players/fans invested is something of what's hard to do but it all depends on what makes them keep coming back

This is something I've always dreamed of having, always thought it would be cool to have a full open world game where you create a character and choose a profession and get to start a few days before everything happened to give you a chance to view Raccoon City normally, but then of course you'll hear or even see some of the events leading up to the main events, then once it's the day of, you must escape the city. Your profession you choose will have you start at different points the day of and give you different skills to help you survive.
resident evil outbreak is 50% there.

That's what I was always wishing for, visiting Raccoon city, the Arklay mountains and Stoneville. That's what a RE Outbreak Remake should look like. Capcom this is exactly what you should do for the Outbreak Remake.
If this guy can make it happen then you should hire him because this is what most RE fans want, not some cheap action that you want to call RE.

Just imagine roaming through the city finding boxes and picking up weapons and outfits (for stats and special abilities) similar to Revalations playing with others while fighting off iconic creatures.
I always wanted a open world Raccoon City. You get to explore the areas you've always known and loved amongst way more locations. Scavenge, fight, avoid monsters. Like a Dead Rising or Dead Island type of game.
This was always an idea I would bring up with family and friends. I wish I had the ability to do something like this, I hope a new game is made with this idea.
It's like that Matrix game from last year but everyone's turned into a zombie.

Wished RE3 Remake was open world. Possibly an outbreak remake could work as well or a new outbreak game taking place in a whole new city.
Imagine the potential with this not only with new RE0, 1, 2, 3, and Outbreak remakes, but also for fan-made CG movie adaptations of the games that would be far more faithful than the actual movies.
Rebuilding Raccoon City is an amazing undertaking in of itself!

It is. Everything from Biohazard Zero to Biohazard: Outbreak File #2's True Ending Cutscene will be in it. That includes Outbreak File #2's Scenario: Wild Things which is Raccoon City Zoo.
EDIT: Here's the thing, though. The Novels are non-canon to the actual Biohazard Timeline, so a simple search stated to me. So how would this work exactly? is the question that's being begged here at the moment. I'm not exactly sure what is portrayed in the Novels which is set in its own Biohazard Timeline, so I need someone to clue me in on what's the same and what's different compared to the actual Biohazard Timeline.

It would be cool to have a LA Noire-style prequel where you're a STARS member or RPD police officer investigating the early "cannibal" murders throughout the city before things completely go off the rails.
That could be the prologue & opening chapters to an open world resident evil game.

If Capcom could find competent people to develop a TV show it'd make a good 4-6 parter episode explaining the murders, and showing the outbreak occuring at the mansion. But I do agree, it would serve better in a game as a prologue.

It would be freaking INSANE this to exist. It would create a strong basis for other modders to use for recreating an RPG style Resident Evil Game that takes place between 1 and 2 & 3.
I know this is random, but I recently had an idea. Considering the fact that Resident evil has tried to break into the multiplayer scene for a while now with not much success.
I truly believe that resident evil could make an amazing DMZ mode. Create your own character, and go into idk the RPD from RE2 remake. Or the city, labs, with a good progression system and economy the game would be very entertaining. And the fact that they have pretty much everything you need already (Item, treasures, weapons, keys) it seems viable to me. I enjoy a variety of games, Tarkov being one of them. I think that Resident evil could capitalize both getting new players that focus on multiplayer and people who already enjoy the RE universe in general it would give longevity to any title.
This is an epic undertaking. It must be completed. When it is ready for beta testing I am totally in.

Yes dude,do you have this feeling too while you are playing the remakes,that you are in a police station in the middle of the city infested by zombies and monsters,running always in the same hallways while outhere there is so much to explore? I mean i want to know what kind of creatures hides in the zoo,in other buildings,in raccoon citys college,in raccoon city shops etc... we need more of it,outbreak remake should given to us a bigger city exploration with new locations,not just a few streets like resident evil 2 and 3 remake...lets hope it will happen one day man...

Imagine this beautiful open world with a group of friends playing custom characters trying to fight during the outbreak or playing the actual storyline with multiple iconic characters going from the mansion to the city.
A VERY ambitious and very detailed project. Look forward to seeing more. Hopefully it won't be C&D'ed.

This is really cool! Though it’s old that apparently Raccoon City is supposed to be a small town, but after the originals, it looks way bigger than it is. Like RE3 Remake made it look more big, like Chicago, with a Subway (it looks like one but I think they called it a tram, even though it looked nothing like that). I mean I don’t think it’s like New York or La or even San Francisco (which is the only city I know has tram cars), but it definitely doesn’t look like a small town. I also feel the streets look a bit more Japanese inspired with small alleys that connect in weird ways. Silent Hill also looks a bit big, but in that “New England” style of big, where it’s not like a metropolis. Actually that’s more funny, since they didn’t know much about America at the time they made those games.

Capcom really needs to hire that guy. He has the perfect idea. I would definitely love to play a RE open world game. Imagine killing or avoiding Lickers, zombies, and other creatures all around Racoon City. You will first start at the Mansion and then work your way up to the city. Man now I'm getting anxious to play something like this.
Whoaaaa mad respect! Would love to see sort of a sheriff clearing off areas by killing off zombies and monsters, rescuing civilians, fortifying the area, training civilians as main defence, placing traps while fighting off hordes of zombies etc
I’ve been saying this for years! Why haven’t they done this? I was always upset that they never put a “deathmatch” type mode that took place around the city after you beat the games..besides mercenary. The originals as well as the remakes of part 2 & 3 definitely needed this type of mode for replay value! It’s time for an open world Resident Evil like GTA & Elder Scrolls..

I always thought Raccoon City open world would be the best way to make the 10th game. We would play the entire pandemic through the eyes of an unknown survivor who meet every famous character during his trip. What a master piece!

I have wanted a Resident Evil game like this for a long time. Resident Evil is one of my favorite titles in the whole gaming franchise. I love the detail and Graphics that they put into this project. Make me very eager to play it. And I hope they have multiple characters to use

Fans do so well in this category of RE games. I don’t think CAPCOM could do an open world RE game without making a lot of people on all sides upset.
CAPCOM is better for the time being sticking with what sells the best and let the fans do things like this.
