- Tina Turner bring her vocals to life as she not only performs this song but really drives home the message of how to really dance. ;-)
This is Tina Turner with Private Dancer. Hopy you guys enjoy the reaction. Thank you.
Lyrics:
Well the men come in these places
And the men are all the same
You don't look at their faces
And you don't ask their names
You don't think of them as human
You don't think of them at all
You keep your mind on the money
Keeping your eyes on the wall
I'm your private dancer
A dancer for money
I'll do what you want me to do
I'm your private dancer
A dancer for money
And any old music will do
I wanna make a million dollars
I wanna live out by the sea
Have a husband and some children
Yeah, I guess I want a family
All the men come in these places
And the men are all the same
You don't look at their faces
And you don't ask their names
Dutchmarks or dollars
American Express will do nicely, thank you
Let me loosen up your collar
Tell me, do you wanna see me do the shimmy again?
All the men come in these places
And the men are all the same
You don't look at their faces
And you don't ask their names
You don't think of them as human
No, you don't think of them at all
You keep your mind on the money
Keeping your eyes on the wall
I'm your private dancer, dancer for money
Just a private dancer, dancer for money
I'm your private dancer, a dancer for money
Just a private dancer, dancer for money..

Your reaction to Tina showing love to the sax man, Tim Cappello, is priceless!!! ❤❤❤
Tina’s voice was sultry and Smokey in this one. 😁
As a huge Freddie Mercury fan I've always considered Tina as his female equivalent in terms of performing and energy. Just love her and admire her for her career and strength as a woman. One more legend that will be hard/impossible to replace. She sang "Golden Eye" in James Bond movie btw :-)
David Mallet once again weaved his Magical direction again !! Tina was brought back to mega stardom by Brits !! Gave her the songs & Confidence !! David Mallet his stage & video work was mega for AC/DC Bowie & many more 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
written by the legendary Mark Knopfler. great reaction
I love the sexy/sensual playfulness. The interaction between she and the band and the bandmembers with each other in these concerts shows so much beautiful friendship and trust.
Tina Turner is SENSATIONAL in concert!! I saw her in May, 2000 when she was 60 years old but you would never know it. That woman was rocking and dancing like she was 25. Our seats were about as far back in the theater as you could get , but I didn't care. Even without the sound system her voice is so powerful you could probably hear her half a mile away. It was absolutely incredible and I'm SO happy and grateful I got to see Tina when I did because it was her retirement tour. She did end up doing another tour in 2008-2009, but we didn't know that at the time. I only knew it would be my last chance to see her live in concert and there was NO WAY I was going to miss that opportunity!
Tina is a world class artist- I am shocked that people don't know who she is and don't love her.....
She was 53 here, long liv Queen of Rock
I got to see her in concert in the eighties! She is the best, "simply the best" lol
@stromy081464 That has to be a lifetime memory, Stormy! I got to see Patty LaBelle live a long time ago and I will never forget that, either.
I was at her Wembley concert. The atmosphere. She was performong into her 70s maybe 80s
Tina did interact with her musicians on stage - Private dancer and Whatever you want are the steamy ones. The song was written by Mark Knopfler for Dire straits album, but he thougt that it is better for a woman to sing and gsve it to Tina. Also the instrumental part in the middle was originally even longer.
Correction. In your wildest dreams was the steamy one, not Whatever you want.
Tina is a vocal powerhouse. Amazing performer. There certainly is a dvd. It's called Private Dancer. That was the solo cd she had that boosted her solo career. She's one of the few singers that can sing all three ranges in one song. Goddess.💙
Great react!! Tina for me is the best, the queen!!! On stage, Tina and Timmy Capello ( sax player), was grear together!!!!
HAP I loved your reaction. This is why Tina turner is the queen of rock ‘n’ roll. This song came out in either 1984 or 1985. You should also take a listen to her songs what’s love got to do with it, and proud Mary. She’s one of the sexiest women who have Ever rocked a stage and her voice is captivating .❤️😀👍❤️✌️🌼
She did have a rough life.....there is a film about it.....can’t remember the name ....I bet there are a few people who wouldn’t mind Tina as their private dancer 🕺 🕺😱😱🎶🎵🎶🎵🎶🎵 truly great voice ....
The film is called "What's love got to do with it" ;)
Hap Simple the Best was greatest. But please react to Tina singing in concert in 2008-2009 At Wimberly stadium while she was on tour. Please react to her 1st song that was a hit in the 60s, but react to her singing it in concert it's simply epic. She's always great her voice got richer. But at this concert it was amazing. Love your reaction to A Fool in Love at this concert. She's known as the Queen of rock an roll!
HI ,THE BOND FILM WAS GOLDEN EYE- 1995. LOVED THIS PERFORMANCE AND SONG BY TINA. BRING ON THE SEXY HAP3! GREAT REACTION! 💃🥰❤
Golden Eye!!! 🕵️♂️ that was it
Tina Turner is simply the best!! I love your reactions to her performance!!!!!!
The best singer! Voice, energy, hot, the best show! 🇧🇷❤️
Wow! Queen of rock and roll.
I have not seen this performance before. Thanks.
I love live wembley!
What's next?
Tina and David Bowie -Tonight? Tina and Brian Adams?
Whole Lotta Love (led zeppelin cover)?
Cheers, Santa Nick
She’s a Queen and we live in the same city! She said she wants a house on the see side in this song and she got herself a wonderful house on the lake Zürich! One of my favourite TT songs! John is always introducing you to the best there is!
Wait! She lived in the same city as you currently? Wow.
@@HAP3SPEAKZ Thanks, Adina. 😘 As far as I know she still lives there, doesn't she? She was born in Tennessee, the state where I am from!! Nutbush, Tennessee. She and Ike sang the song called, "Nutbush City Limits." In fact, they had an album by the same name.
She is absolutely fabulous!!
She was awesome, sh e had a hell of a rough life. She had some really moving songs. Was a fan!
Ahhhhhh Hap!!! One of my favorite artist even to this day. Tina got legs to make "SHEER" jealous....lol....But yeah she is one of those artist that inspires with her hard life and her determination to go on regardless. She did a concert back in 2000, I believe? It was Simply the best and she sang that song and proud Mary. I believe she was 60yrs old when she did that concert. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong. But yeah Hap, thank you and maybe check out that concert.
i love this song. It's my favorite TT song and I think I have watch this reaction at least 10 times. Your reaction to this always puts a smile on my face.
Oh she is absolutely fabulous 😍
Hap had to laugh with your facial expression and “what”. Great reaction ❤️🙏
Oh great reaction!!! And great song choice John!! I have heard this song but I don’t think I’ve seen this video. She looked stunning there🌻🌻
Yes she did. Like a sparkling star on the stage.
So nice to see this! I haven't listened to TT in years, but she remains phenomenal. Watching her - I can't help thinking she's about to bust out into one of her fast paced numbers. She is a force of nature! Best legs in the business also! Excellent way to start a Tuesday!
10:00 ... ❤❤❤
Great song.. I request Ike and Tina Turner... Proud Mary.. Live
Please react to Proud Mary Live. Unbelievable performer.
I never was real into Tina, except maybe “Proud Mary “, but this was a cool song! I loved watching your reaction! Tina sounds like she’s a call girl in this song. I love the sax, one of the sexiest instruments I’ve heard! Freddie was a huge fan of hers and Aretha Franklin, he loved their sound!
Hap u have to listen to her sing "Proud Mary" her most famous and she's also famous for her killer legs!!! She's amazing....love your reaction as always!!!!
Oooo John! Awesome pick! She is sooo legendary! HAP, your are becoming a legendary reactor! ♥️❤️♥️
HAP3SPEAKZ Dire Straits' Mark Knopfler wrote this song. She ran away from Ike with 40 dollars in her pocket, 1980's British techno-pop band Heaven 17 brought her back and she only stopped when she chose to.
You should react to proud Mary live. She works the entire stage. She know how to put on a great show.
You might want to google her. Her story is of survival.
You should really watch her 1985 Birmingham performance of this song.
Magic.
Please please react to Tina turner „legs“ live 1993 (Same show)
Hope you watch the vevo version
Always loved Tina Turner. Probably the best female entertainer back then. And there were quite a few of them. But none that I can remember as energizing as Tina. "Proud Mary", "Nutbush City Limits" are 2 of my favorites. Her on stage performance is just unbelievable. I was going to say, no one can exhibit that energy today. But then you went and reacted to a young lady named Courtney Hadwin today. And that is one girl who can entertain a crowd. She will one day be a star. She covered 2 of Tina's songs. And although I hate to name other artists on reaction videos, I'm going to make a rare exception. Anyone who really loves Tina Turner's style should go watch these 2 videos and realize Tina style rock lives on through Courtney Hadwin.
"Nutbush City Limits" ua-cam.com/video/aUgke-UydXo/v-deo.html
"What's love got to do with it" ua-cam.com/video/wPYeT5xmGbg/v-deo.html
Tina Turner was abused by her husband Ike. Very famous case. Also see the song "We don't need another hero". She lives in Switzerland I believe since she stopped performing.
See also Cher in Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves.
Hint this is about prostitution on a very cheap to the client level. This is not an upscale call girl song.
And you thought Americans were uptight about sex no doubt.
You should check out Tina in 2000 at Wembley -- when she was 60 years old -- and see her rock out Proud Mary. Again, 60 years old at the time! ua-cam.com/video/T2T5_seDNZE/v-deo.html
There is a better live version of the song Private Dancer on her Private dancer tour live 1985 the tour was great.
Actually, I originally had a different song in my mind. I remembered the Sax-a-ma-phone performance and I leaned toward our boy, knowing he likes it so much. lol But, this IS my favorite TT song of all time. It makes chills run all over my body hearing and watching it! Sultry and steamy is one way I describe it. Her stage performance is "Simply the Best." I remember hearing it for the first time. I was in an old hangout (bar). I ran to the old juke box to see what TT song it was. TT fans and everyone that enjoyed this song, PLEASE watch this interview with Gayle King on CBS Sunday Morning: ua-cam.com/video/AWHaONa1mWI/v-deo.html The reaction was perfect, KP. Early in, when your eyes popped wide open, I knew you were going to be in for a treat and maybe a jaw drop here and there! 😁 Absolutely a great reaction! I'm glad it passed the PG test.
Hahaha you're welcome John!!! Thanks for providing your personal story and insight into why it is your favorite song. It certainly passed the PG test.
She was acting out being a private dancer. She likes to joke with the musicians. Totally set the vibe for that song huh?
