at 2:34 you talk about the laid off aspect. The key here is he mimics his club angle at top, to the bottom. Meaning he isnt as laid off per se, he is actually just making sure to keep the same angle. His irons are steeper because they are shorter.
My swing is small and compact like his, that's why I look at his videos. The difference is he does an incredible job of bowing his wrist at the top, so he can hit it with a back hand motion of his left hand. Mine stays closer to cupped.
Anyway I found it important to mention that. Because when you show it flat at the top, at 2:34, you are not in the same angle as the start/press/impact position. You are very flat and if people copy that flat swing they are going to find it hard to find the slot. There is a video called 'Range Talk Episode 4: Jon Rahm | The golf bast...' that shows Rahm at the top of a wedge, and it is again mirroring his address angle. Just for reference.
Effectively, most professionals and few amateurs maintain the shaft angle at address, to the top and back again. That is why most cant find a repeatable slot.
That is the focus on a 'small swing'. Like I mentioned I have a small swing. Its very compact. Yet I still reach swing speeds over 120 with a driver and hit normal to expanded distances with blade irons. Because when your swing doesnt leave the short slot, you can accelerate as fast as you need be without it missing the slot. Effectively we stop it short of getting so high the angle must change in and out of the slot. I have a video of my short swing but I am not going to cross promote on your channel, if you want to see it, id love your opinions. I have it in a video I am making about shortening your swing to get more power.
I love your videos. Great quality. I didnt notice the elbow angle you mentioned. Thanks for that. Maybe that will fix my flat (not bowed) wrist at the top. Good luck in 2024 and beyond. -M2 / Send

Seems like a great way to knock down shots.

You’re close. But he gets a little more separation with his right arm from his torso. There’s more extension with the right arm in the backswing.

I like the video. I don’t think this swing works for you which explains the bad flight. I think Jon Rahm swings like Jon Rahm because that works for him. I do use a weak grip with my left because that works for me but I need more back swing for my tempo or I’m slicing it every time. His swing is very unique and I think of anyone is trying to imitate this swing, there going to lose a lot of strokes

I am friendly so I will help you out. Rahm is known for a short swing. He also generates a lot of power. Why? Most amateurs don't really understand the dynamics of the swing, or what different positions mean. This video is explaining what you would need to focus on, if you wanted to swing like Rahm. And it does a really good job of explaining it.
It also opens up discussion as to what means what, and allows *cough* helpful and intelligent and socially adjusted individuals discuss what they see, and how they think it affects shots. The only thing in watching this video that I am not sure about is why someone would take the time, to effectively watch a video, comment, and learn absolutely nothing.
Cheers to this channel. It is hard work. And he's got 100k subs. Which means what he posts is at the least: useful.
      That's my .02c.

The transition in your back swing on the first rear and side view makes it really hard to follow the action. Going from single frame to double. Great video though.
