Very cool! Advice for anyone is when you finish sanding take a pencil and sandpaper, make some fine graphite dust and rub it on the edges of the ledge where you grind, this will give it that worn down ledge look and that shiny truck/skate graphic/wax colour. when you lacquer it it seems like you are skating a perfect broken in ledge, with time they become satisfying once they get little cracks and grooves so in general don’t be too bothered about imperfections, everything is unique!

Just heard back from the cemetery. They confirm that this comment is very narrowly within the allowed character limit for headstone engravings. Thank you.
Awesome vid! But in the future you wanna start sanding with a lower grit 80 and 180 so you can knock down the big mountains and then higher grit 220, 320 to smooth it all out! Helps save paper
If you make it so it's more liquidy it fills the gaps way better, and it hardens the same. That's what I've been doing lately. It looks more like muddy water when I mold it, but they come out clean af.
I absolutley love the design of this ledge😍😍just poured a jersey barrier following this tutorial, (first time using concrete), and hopefully it doesn't crack. If it goes well i definitley want to recreate this ledge though. great tutorial man thank you so much🙏
@@bountyarchive The barrier turned out absouletly perfect! I even made the mold out of cardboard and tape but still came out exactly how I wanted it :) thanks again and i'll be making more 💯
@@bountyarchive also saw this method: ua-cam.com/video/URB_oMpC9tQ/v-deo.htmlsi=8F27gcI9A8xwnjeQ its different but also would work for fb obstacles if you want to make them really detailed and any shape I think.
Hi, this one was made with no additive or pigment! The key to an even tone is stirring very well, and pouring quickly while the mixture is still very fluid.
So good! Tried this but when sanding my concrete was crumbling lol, was also pretty rough and not very smooth, did i add too much water perhaps? I did 1 cup water, 4 cups concrete?
Yo idk how to explain this but im struggling with the pieces that like bend in on the ramp?? Howd you make the pieces flush to the sides and to the ground?
i find when i sand it acrually makes it rougher than it already was , any ideas on how to fix this? and i find when i’m grinding. little chips and pieces keep cracking off, anything helps. thanks so much in advance
Hi! Sanding can be the trickiest part of this whole process. When sanding, it's important to start with a low grit sandpaper to remove any rough edges. Don't try to push to hard and re-shape the object or anything. Gradually move up to finer sandpaper until either 400 or 800 grit. At that point it should start to feel pretty smooth. To get it silky though, you'll need to wet-sand. I hope this helps! Like anything, there is some trial-and-error involved. If your object has some fine (acute) angles like the transition on a quarterpipe, then you have a higher chance of cracking for sure. So keep this in mind too!
This came out so clean. Wish I had this vid 15 years ago when I was 14! ❤
❤
Make them anyway, sell to 14 year old
Never late I back to finger at my 32 years

Great tip and perspective! Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
The fact that it took the micro indentation of the letters is wild. Love it.
Thank you!
you should make more fingerboard obstacle builds more ! 👍🏼

Thanks for the kind words and tip!
Just made one this afternoon! Came out great. The air bubbles tip worked like charm - great video!
Hell yea! Thanks for saying so
Simple, straight to the point…thank you
Glad it was helpful!

Thanks for sharing this, it came out so clean. It has given me some great ideas too. Nice sw flip sw front crook too! :)
Great idea to use those cheap signs from the hardware store. Thinner than regular sheet metal so its perfect to cut at home
Thank you! They wont sell them to me anymore haha I think they realized that I was saving money instead of buying their sheet metal by the foot.
Super clean man. those metal signs from the hardware store have so many good fingerboard uses.
I love a bargain.

Thank you for kind words! I’m keen to see how your barrier comes out.

This is sooo good.
ur a legend
Fantastic video fam. Should have more views!
Thank you for the support! I’ll get my numbers up sooner or later 🏆
Very helpful video thanks! Also you can use foam board to make a good mold.
Thanks for the feedback! I’ve been meaning to try that for my next project!

how long do i need to wait for the clear coat to completely dry and ready 2 be shred sir ?
@@runitsidewayz hello good sir. Better wait overnight.
@bountyarchive thanks for the response man, you should make another fb obstacle making vids, so fun 2 watch fr 👌🏻
@ thanks! Concrete is very rewarding when you get it right, but there is inherently lots of trial and error. Wishing you good fortune!
amazing man! can you make a vídeo like this but crafting a ramp with bricks effect? thank you for the awesome content
Thank you! YOU should make that video and teach ME! 😆

Hello, any advice so that the mixture gives me an even tone like the one in the video? Do you use any addictive or pigment?

@@bountyarchiveWhat is the name of the cement you used? if it can be known
@@Fluchii20 The cement is called "Cement-All". Check out the link in the description, which has a full list of materials!
Great video. What kind of concrete do you use?
quick krete!
So good! Tried this but when sanding my concrete was crumbling lol, was also pretty rough and not very smooth, did i add too much water perhaps? I did 1 cup water, 4 cups concrete?
Perhaps the area you were sanding was too thin?
Yo idk how to explain this but im struggling with the pieces that like bend in on the ramp?? Howd you make the pieces flush to the sides and to the ground?
I see. If you use tape on the outside of the mold, you can hold everything in place while you trim it flush.

U the man
30 seconds in “I can’t do that” lmaoo but I suck at building he did a great job. Why I just buy molds I can’t make them
I believe in you!
Concrete was not ready in 2 1/2 hrs lol I poked it with my finger 😂 now I gotta wait til it dries completely and sand down
Haha yes, patience is key.
