Why did she downplay the fact you can switch the HumanCar over to electric mode when you get tired of the 'hard work' she complained about at the end of the video? I would LOVE to know more about the electric motor part of this car and how fast that can go and what it would take to upgrade that to a standard electric car engine. I can't be the only person thinking this...
Imagine a future transportation system built around this idea with human powered engines. Perhaps not the public transports but company owned/sponsored buses.

if they can implement a better steering system, make it more affordable (which the price is about $50,000 right now), and improve battery/power system for more giddy up, I think this could compete against other recreational vehicles even maybe electric vehicles if car is overall safer as well in case of a crash.
To me it looks like a giant electric bike
it should be called "Tesla Killer"
The basic idea is still practical enough to be adapted to future vehicle designs. I sure hope something like it does come around because, to be frankly honest, I dislike fuel powered cars with a passion.
Why did she say thank you when she said it looked like fun???
Maybe she took it as a compliment ? She may have thought she said it looks cool.
