People tank there SRs at the beginning of their career at lvl 25 and then unless they grind for months and months for a dozen hours a week they can’t get out of that rank.

Been a player of like the first 2 years of overwatch and now im watching flats for a quarter nostalgia of the game but man, Blake and that Lucio as a Lucio main, I cant stop laughing. This may be one of my favourite episode of spectating bronze next to Yessica.
I like how Flats did probably exactly what the post wanted and watched the "interesting" rein. I feel like this person may have been backcapped once and said "never letting that happen again". I could see why the Mercy was pulling the pistol cuz she wanted so bad to not wait until the enemy was on point to engage when rein forced everyone else to pick between having a barrier and being in position. And just... the threadbare understanding of how the hero worked, instead just holding up shield so to never be caught off guard, literally. They didn't know how to shatter, or that the shield recharges when down, or that you can't buffer shield when swinging the hammer.
I think people forget QP exists sometimes and that you can get skilled at the game without playing comp. I don't mean Flats btw I mean the people in chat who said the Ana is a smurf because she could aim, and had good game sense. Bronze border 5 star means she still has hundreds of hours in the game, if she didn't get somewhat good in that amount of time there'd be an issue.

pretty similar thing happened to me today, played roadhog on my first game of the day and found out my RB button on my controller broke. Went the whole game without self healing. Still won tho.

5:20 i know a guy who was Legendary Eagle or Legendary Eagle Master in CS and in OW he was a 1500sr ana onetrick. His Ana aim mechanics were kinda nuts but he just did not play enough or care enough to improve anything else

Bronze is super easy to get out if you have 1 teammate that knows what he or she is doing... Tip make friends that actually try this game and you will get out of bronze literally in less than a day it's crazy brain dead down there
in low elo, people will REFUSE to leave the point and will let the enemy team just walk in for free because they believe that the second they leave the point is when they'll die and that leaving the point at ALL is "overextending"
So I’m friends with foxfire, she has been stuck in bronze since she had the game. Granted she also barely plays comp and plays more qp than anything. Overall she impresses me every game I play with her. She’s able to play in high elo and manages to stay alive even in sticky situations (that’s just qp though) (Also I believe the reason she’s so aggressive is because the group she plays with in qp is a super aggressive group)
This is what makes me think that elo hell is real. I don't understand how it's possible to rank up as a support out of bronze solo queue. Admittedly, I suck at the game. But something's wrong with the system if my losses are because the enemy dominated the entire game and my wins are because my team dominated the entire game. I dunno, it never seems like a fair fight to me.

I've heard the saying that 40% of your losses are a given, 40% of your wins are a given, and 20% are things where your influence truly impacts the outcome. That said, if you're playing Mercy, you are going to have a bad time usually unless you know how/when to glock, and even then, it's just not as easy as on any other support. (This is true for all elos, but bronze is an elo where generally someone has to be a play-maker since teams aren't prepared/aware of what's going to happen) I hope this made some sense

I don't know your hero pool, so I mostly have given mercy tips (since she is most rough to climb on especially solo), as you see in this video, fox knows mercy is more advantageous on defense (either that or was asked) due to how fight steamrolls can work after a single pick. Though generally damage boost brings more value than res - res is certainly useful for defense, especially since low elo is not a great counter to res (punishing or their time to kill, meaning res will be up for more deaths). Anyway for any other support, doing damage is absolutely essential. Careful with brig to not get too dangerously aggro though!

the fact that the ana is in the same game as this rein is exactly why we need a hard SR reset and bring back performance based SR gain.
Performance based SR gain is a thing from bronze-plat. Once you hit diamond, the SR gain is based on the average SR of your team VS the enemy team.
The hard reset won't do anything cause the Ana will throw the games she needs to stay at the same rank.

low level healers are good always, mostly the ones i meet that aren’t insta locking zen or lucio- are wonderful and the sweetest
