As a Stars fan, I'd be happy to see Dallas pick him up. I don't think the problem is Marner, I think it's the leafs organization as a whole that's the issue. Even Auston and JT couldn't do much to get them past the first round. The Leafs SHOULD NOT be losing in the first round with the team they have, but yet they continue to do it and I don't think all the blame should be placed on Mitch alone. This is a whole team issue, and I think on any other team Marner is a big piece of a deep playoff run, but the Leafs can't figure out how to capitalize on a good thing. Plus what's this bullshit with Mathews sitting out? First he's sick, then suddenly it's a out of nowhere "injury", to me it seems like Mathews may be over their bullshit too.
The problem, as I see it, is Toronto isn't a team...it's a bunch of high priced players who can't even spell team because there's no I in it. The arguing on the bench during the first round speaks volumes. The best thing Toronto did was to sign Bertuzzi but, unless they throw buckets of money at him, I doubt he'll resign with an organization with so many flaws.
