Thanks for making this video. I just ordered a sling bag, initially I bought it just to carry my SD40VE and Kimber Custom 1911 to the range instead of my full size range bag. I really like how you have your bag with the 1st aid kit, tourniquet and the pistol holster you modified to secure it in a position ready for use. I feel even more excited to get my sling bag especially seeing that this style bag gives you a great amount of tool space for any thing you can think of not just as a place for your own protection but to be able to keep some things that could possibly save someone else. Thanks again, and to the folks that are negative to this gentleman’s video, he could be the difference between someone else being shot not just himself. I doubt anyone with intent to kill would be judge-mental on why he has a sling bag in a gym it’s the element of surprise when a every day citizen fights back against these criminals that prey on the assumption we are weak.
For anyone wondering, it can fit a 15.6 Inc laptop witch makes its perfect for traveling. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxhqixo9uZ1YyoCn9PYPPCh4S-n-1Z-vJl I got the small size and its pretty big, I would even say that you can be fine with an extra small one. With the small you can fit a 15.6 inch laptop, 2 - 3 jeans or panta and at least 4 to 5 shirt and a pair of shoes(if you travel more than you go to the gym of course) and you will still have a lot of space to spear if you know how to organize it. Overall I LOVE IT.
Dude... U make great vids... I hope u continue ....I'm a 25 yr police officer and I now carry everywhere... Don't waste ur time wit those haters who know and hav done absolutely nothing...
I wish he would sell these holsters. I reached out to him and he was super cool and said there wasn't enough interest...feel like I am not the only one that wants one based on previous posts. Awesome video!
Nice bag and set up. Love that it doesn't look tactical. The small plate is very smart, especially in the fact that it covers your heart. Going to check into this bag.
That's an awesome setup. I use a wheelchair and have been looking for alternative ways for conceal carry. As most traditional ways don't work. Thanks for the great idea.
Pretty snazzy. A buddy of mine got me a Condor tactical "man purse" shoulder bag for my birthday, & everytime, I leave the apt, I carry it loaded down w/knives, spare mags, rechargeable cell phone charger, etc. The biggest, closest-to-body pocket has the fuzzy Velcro panel to facilitate attaching a hook-backed Velcro equipped holster or what have you. The bag's the perfect size for about any EDC suitable handgun, 1st aid kit, or even a weekend's worth of socks, t shirts, underwear, & hygiene items.
This is actually awesome. I'm working on a similar system that would allow me to carry to group workouts and another one to allow me to carry while running.
So, I actually really love what you've done here. You took a trendy little pack, and made it very useful for those of us that legally and lawfully carry. For the past couple weeks I've been looking for a good off body carry bag, that doesn't look like the obvious as hell, 5.11 tactical bags. Now, that being said, and being an instant fan, and watching more of your videos, I do have some genuine concerns. The problem with this bag is obvious. It's hard to open it in public, without essentially, flashing your gun. Going after any of the internal contents, would seem to easily expose the item, that's meant to be hidden. Maybe this could be remedied by mounting the holster way lower in the bag? Thanks for the awesome video, inspired to either do something similar to yours, or my own and original.
Some guys will carry in a digital camo fanny pack with a quick release carabiner, MOLLE, Punisher skulls on the zipper tags, and a Gadsden flag patch and say they're concealed carrying.
Currently I leave my pistol in a safe in the car. I haven't been able to find an on-body method of carry that let's me get through a workout series comfortably. Many people carry all types of bags into the gym, and even onto the gym floor. You've given me a good idea. Thanks!
To me, working out is about the only time off-body carry makes sense. I myself have used it for years, but eventually, I have found a way to make it comfortable enough for me to still carry even when working out. Basically, it involves wearing a nylon gun belt, and getting something as small and light as say a Sig 365 inside a minimal kydex holster on the strong side, and an EDC pouch for my cellphone, keys, and wallet on the other side for counterbalance. With the correct gear, the setup is very secure, and works great even when I am out on jogs.
I loved this video! I have my LTC and I just started going to the gym and I will be going alone at 6 in the morning your video was very well informative! thank you!!
Every time I watch your videos, I spend money! Gonna give that bag a try. Excellent video as always, I've tried many different gym carry system....and yes belly band or the hidden crotch holsters get awkward realllll quick!
I carry off the body in a bag very similar except it sits near my right hip, looks like a lap top bag. I do it for several reasons. in no particular order: 1: I can wear my body cam on the strap across my chest, there's no better place for it. I am a process server so I need the body cam. 2: I'm in good physical shape and I wear clothes that fit me. So many you tubers that carry concealed are fat and dress in frumpy loose clothing. I can carry concealed on my hip in the winter but not 9 months out of the year. 3: I carry a full size handgun, for a lot of reasons. 4: Great way to store extra magazines and emergency medical supplies. 5: Now a lot of people say it takes longer to get your gun out. It's negligible when you compare it with many other concealed carry options. My gun is inches from my right hand and reaching into my bag is no different than pulling a coat or shirt out of the way. 6: The big argument against it is that you'll forget it when you take it off or someone will steal it. I never take it off, it's on me as I drive, when I get out of my car and when I get back in. I literally put it on when I leave the house and take it off at the end of the night. but also, I was in The Marines for a decade and I am brainwashed to never leave my weapon. I would carry a rifle, pistol, and sometimes other sensitive equipment on me 24 hours a day; to the gym, to chow, to the shower. So I'm used to it. If you've ever left your backpack at school, briefcase at the office, luggage at the airport, or purse at a table then I would not recommend this for you. That is all. Semper Fi.
I've been watching a lot of your vids last couple of days and I have to say I'm surprised you don't have many more subscribers. Very informal and you get the wheels turning for many other things. Great work.
Just catching up on my youtube, I'm somewhat out of pocket during the summer. I was just in an Oakley outlet store at the beach last weekend, decided to order some of their tactical light gloves to use shooting and riding motorcycles. Definitely love me some Oakley products! The fact that their gloves are smart device friendly is awesome. It's much nicer not having to strip my gloves off every time I need to check something or answer a call while on the bike. I've also had the same Oakley sunglasses for probably 5+ years. The 458SOCOM is always available ;) Oh yea and solid video as usual.
Some of You people don't understand why he carries in a gym. Well here's why you should carry everywhere you go. Years ago I worked in a retirement home a mad husband of a lady that also worked there came in to shoot her, well he ended up killing 5 people including her. I wish someone including myself had been carrying. I Carry everywhere I go, I mean everywhere. If I have pants on its on me. If no pants then its with in my reach. I not only carry it I go to the range at least once each month.
Some people think of you carry got WANT TO SHOOT SOMEONE! but in reality you carry because you NEVER know when you will need it? if anything i'm more situationally aware when I carry and avoid areas and or situations!!!
Savedbygrace I’m 2 years later replying to your comment. But I’m curious when you conceal carry, do you carry spare magazine(s)? I was asking since when you mentioned the incident at your old job.
DisneyFireheart I always carry at least one spare mag....occasionally two. The reason isn’t because I anticipate burning through all of my ammo-all of my Glocks, including the G43, have enough rounds in the gun to end *most* gunfights. The reason is that one of the most common causes of a mechanical failure in a well-maintained pistol (all of mine are well maintained) is a magazine-related failure. Those failures are most quickly addressed by dropping the magazine and inserting a fresh one. Yes, even Glocks can fail. So always carry a spare mag. And then if, heaven forbid, you actually *DO* need an administrative reload, or you shoot the gun dry, you’ll have a reload ready.
DisneyFireheart *occasionally* I carry my "Noisy Cricket"....a S&W M&P340 snubbie in .357 Mag, but it’s not really any fun to shoot, so it’s pretty much something to slip in the pocket of my bathrobe when I walk down to the mail box on cold mornings. 😝 I also own or have owned and have carried 3”, 4”, and 5” 1911s in .45 ACP, a HK USP Compact .40, a 5” S&W 327 TRR8 .357, a 5” S&W Model 29 .44 mag, a S&W 642 .38 Special, a S&W 640 .357, a M&P45 full-size, XD(M)-45 Compact and XDS-45, all in .45 ACP, and Glocks G17, G19, G26, and G43 in 9mm, a Kahr PM9 and a CM45, a Colt Gov’t .380, and a Keltec P3AT. (I don’t even count the .22s 😁) A few of those I have sold, but I still own most of them. For about the last 4-5 years, I pretty much only carry 9mm Glocks anymore. I like my other guns, but I don’t carry for fashion, I carry for practical reasons, and (*for me*) my Glocks are my most practical guns. Of the ones I have, I carry the G19 and G43 the most often by far. And of those two, the G19 most of the time.
I recommend getting a backpack that is less tactical looking for your conceal carry. If I was out and I saw you I would immediately would think you were carrying. Just my 2 cents. Less tactical more concealment.
Truth Seeker Why? People who never served a single second in the armed forces wear camo clothing all the time. And if you go in a Cabela's or Bass Pro Shop, probably a quarter or more of their camping and outdoor gear could theoretically be considered "tactical". As smart and geared-up as Mike seems to be about all this jazz, anyone dumb enough to screw with him's just going to end up with a serious case of lead poisoning.
Nice pack! I use a 5.11 two banger bag for off body. My EDC holster fits in the center compartment (which opens really quickly with dual zippers) as well as two spare mags, a med kit in the back pocket and various tools in front pocket.
I've been using a 3 speed holster for years in the gym, I've done hikes, crunches, pull downs, treadmill, elliptical and have played basketball with it, I carry my PPS, extra mag and knife in it, it's a little pricey, but worth every penny. Not so sure about walking around with a sling that is partially open at the top for quick access.
so you should definitely do a video on how to make your own holster. i love your holsters and don't have a lot of money to put into a 60+ dollar holster for my G43. i want to do this same thing for when I got to the gym. spend about 2-3 hours there every single day. i usually just put my gun in my gym bag in a locked locker. not super accessible to anyone including myself. wondering if anyone ever looks at you weird when you pack a bag around with you.
Videos on holster making isn't really what the channel is about, though it's possible that one day I'll make a video with some tips, but idk when. Doubt anyone notices someone carrying a bag at the gym, people carry bags around the gym all the time, that's where they keep their chalk, belts, wraps, etc - but if they do, or they did, I wouldn't care.
+Last Line Of Defense I just don't see very many bags at my gym. i see people put them in their lockers not take them around with them. i too don't care if they see I have a bag or not. just curious if you see more people carrying bags around with them at your gym.
Sew some Velcro at the top where you don't fully zip. Solves your problem of it not being fully zipped closed. It still facilitate quick opening using your opening method and you'' hear if someone behind you tries to open it.
I did the same thing, using a old kydex owb holster. Get adhesive backed velcro tap (amazon $7.99) take off the belt loops and stick it to the inside of the pack.
Cool little bag. One of the things that I like about the bag is that it doesn't scream tactical. One question I have is how well is it stitched? I wouldn't want the bag falling apart. Great video I'll go ahead and subscribe.
I use to use this as an edc bag when I rode my motorcycle to work everyday. I kind of got annoyed with the way they did the strap in the center of the bag. So now it's my trauma bag I like it for that because it opens and you have access to all the pockets it's great for organization.
yeah good choice, they copied the blackhawk stingray, made for a (trauma bag) I have a couple of them. lots of MOLLE inside. I've used it, rips open and lays out flat, quick access to everything, works well to keep you from having to go fishing in your bag when critical shits happening
My wife and I go to the gym three time a week and I always carry when I exercise with no problems a all. I always wear jean shorts with my S&W Snuby in my right front pocket. I can bend, stretch and lift weights when I do a full workout with no problem at all. Pocket carry is my every day carry method with my Glock 26, snuby 38 special or sometime a .380. Try the pocket carry at the gym and you might like it.
Two words "Grey Man", I like you're video's, good ideas, I like how you approach putting things together. I tend to incorporate EDC with normal clothing, as soon as you start carrying Oakley bags in OD green or wearing tactical pants, shirts with gun quotes or pictures on em, and carrying bags when you exercise, screams "I carry a gun". what if you leave the bag on the ground and walk off, It can happen, If that happens: you have left a bag with a gun in a public place. But that just my opinion, keep up the interesting videos.
You should check out 5.11 they have a bag like this but it has a compartment that's hidden that you can access quickly because it's essentially a Velcro pocket. It's probably more expensive but you can have your gun hidden even if someone goes through your bag.
How do you deal with the fact that the firearm is the first thing exposed when you open the bag, and that you can’t access anything else in the bag without exposing it?
Great bag for Jim Carrey, I mean gym carry.
Chris Z. I was thinking the same thing
Still funny in 2020
Alrighty Then
😂😂😂 underrated comment
Good one

That pack is LEGIT! Great idea to add an armor plate!
Ur names such a meme
Sure! how about some hand grenades too? they fit perfect in the water pocket
I’m glad there are good people out there armed and ready to protect themselves and innocent people. I wish there were more of them
pretty sure he'd freeze up or hide if he ever got into a tight, he's just playing with some toys

I want one
Did you ever buy one ?
@@Mr.Mach1n3 I did not. Made a crude version but never used it. I think he offers them on his website now.
I bought this bag because of this video fits my Glock 19 with APLC and an extra magazine perfectly. Great bag
Nice bag and set up. Love that it doesn't look tactical. The small plate is very smart, especially in the fact that it covers your heart. Going to check into this bag.
Your soft plate is just big enough to cover the blood pump. Use what you have. Use what works.
That's an awesome setup. I use a wheelchair and have been looking for alternative ways for conceal carry. As most traditional ways don't work. Thanks for the great idea.
Your speech cadence is good, the lighting is good, your mike is good; review was great. Stop being so apologetic. Thank you for sharing.

Nice video, thanks.

InYourDefense fanny-pack
InYourDefense Ruger LC9 with a technaclip or for an even smaller setup use a Ruger LCP with a technaclip pocket holster
Great minimalist setup. Everything easily accessible. I'm stealing this idea!
To me, working out is about the only time off-body carry makes sense. I myself have used it for years, but eventually, I have found a way to make it comfortable enough for me to still carry even when working out.

I loved this video! I have my LTC and I just started going to the gym and I will be going alone at 6 in the morning your video was very well informative! thank you!!
Tampons for bullet holes and quick clot are light and a GOOD thing to have.
The light weight pistol plate is awesome and a GREAT idea. I love that! :)
Nice vid, would like more info on your holster builds. Need about three holsters. Thanks
where can i purchase one of your holsters?
I just bought this bag off of Oakley Standard Issue based off of your review. Thanks!
Every time I watch your videos, I spend money! Gonna give that bag a try. Excellent video as always, I've tried many different gym carry system....and yes belly band or the hidden crotch holsters get awkward realllll quick!
Yeah, I just can't make myself wear em... haha
Please add the link for the AR500 plate
have the same bag. strapped an ifak to the bottom straps. straps are a bit small for me though, so I'm working on swapping those out.
I carry off the body in a bag very similar except it sits near my right hip, looks like a lap top bag. I do it for several reasons. in no particular order:
1: I can wear my body cam on the strap across my chest, there's no better place for it.
If you've ever left your backpack at school, briefcase at the office, luggage at the airport, or purse at a table then I would not recommend this for you.
That is all. Semper Fi.
That is a nicely made pack. I've carried the Maxpedition Jumbo Versapack for years in those situations where I can't CC on body.
9:25 wonder how that holster holds up with the single, slim clip
I love it, a camera bag and and old daytimer are my go to obc methods. I like that this one doesn't scream youtube ninja.
you need more subs man. best channel on youtube
Like the bag.A good light weight carry. Thanks for another great video.😎
Have you looked into the Oakley Chamber Range bag? I have one in the same distressed olive drab.
I had one of these for years. Great for Off bosy carry
I've been watching a lot of your vids last couple of days and I have to say I'm surprised you don't have many more subscribers. Very informal and you get the wheels turning for many other things. Great work.
Good work Mike. Great to have you back on regular basis.
Glad to be back.
Interested in the holster set up
Awesome set up I'm definitely going to steal your style I definitely gotta get one of those bags 👍🏼
I just traded for a VERTX sling bag that is setup for my Active Shooter Bag, basically what you have here. Very nice job. Great bag too.
Great video. Any new recommendations with Off Body carry packs since you posted this video? Thanks.
That tri holster system is fire
Just the bag I'm looking for. You don't have a sales website with that G26 kydex holster for sale ? Good video

what holster do you use for bedtime carry?
I'm not really sure what bedtime carry is, but I use my normal AIWB holster at all times.
bed time carry. like what u wear to bed. you seem to have gun on you everywhere.
DannyBeatzEnterprise he didn’t get the joke..
Nice review. I like the holster. Can you make one for a Beretta 84 Cheetah?
Do you know when your Velcro case will be available? I have the same bag and gun coincidentally. Let me know please. Aloha from WA. 🤙🏾

It's an Oakley brand bag, not voodoo monkey or something like that. Calm down bro.
Really impressed with the holster ...Could you adapt that for iwb carry..I'm looking for a minimalist design
Last Line Of Defense, hey sweet videos. do you know if they still make that bag in OD green i can only find it in black and camoflauge.
Nice pack! I use a 5.11 two banger bag for off body. My EDC holster fits in the center compartment (which opens really quickly with dual zippers) as well as two spare mags, a med kit in the back pocket and various tools in front pocket.
Can you mention and add a link to the armor you use in that Oakley bag been shopping around for one.
What holster did you use?
Great video. Helped me decide to buy one.

Did you paint the slide on the glock?
Hello are you still making Velcro holsters for bags? I need one for my 26. Please advise:)
Have you considered a non lethal force option? I.E. OC Spray or a baton?
I think I might have to get that bag. I took your advice and got the Oakley panel pack and love it for my edc
Oakley makes some nice packs for sure.
What kind of holster is that? Looking for something with velcro backing.
Love the appendix holster you made I would like one just like it.
That's a great set up
Thanks!
.
You said you keep the bag a bit open, don't you worry someone could reach in and grab it?
I LOVE THE HOLSTER! Please comment on how to get
shoot me an email at mikeshootsguns@gmail.com and I'll get you squared away.
so you should definitely do a video on how to make your own holster. i love your holsters and don't have a lot of money to put into a 60+ dollar holster for my G43. i want to do this same thing for when I got to the gym. spend about 2-3 hours there every single day. i usually just put my gun in my gym bag in a locked locker. not super accessible to anyone including myself. wondering if anyone ever looks at you weird when you pack a bag around with you.
This is actually a great idea!
Can you make a Sig 938 with a crimson trace laser and one magazine holster? Litterally need something exactly like you have but for that gun.
Do you make and sell the gun holsters? I am looking for the same one for my x43
Thanks for the video! Does your stage 5 clinger Velcro holster hold a Smith and Wesson M &P 9mm Compact?
Man this is a great video can you do a video on making the velcro holster?
I did the same thing, using a old kydex owb holster. Get adhesive backed velcro tap (amazon $7.99) take off the belt loops and stick it to the inside of the pack.
I know this video is from a long time ago, but what was the process or materials you used for your velcro system for your holster? Thank you!
Have you ever looked into a Vertx Transit Sling bag?
thanks in will try to see if 8 x 10 fits since I order that soft plate size if not will get 6 x8
Rudy Garcia Does the 8 x 10 fit?
I second that. Did the 8x10 fit?
Cool little bag. One of the things that I like about the bag is that it doesn't scream tactical. One question I have is how well is it stitched? I wouldn't want the bag falling apart. Great video I'll go ahead and subscribe.
Seems pretty well stitched. I honestly haven't used and abused it a whole lot, but it seems durable, and has held up well so far.
Did you sew holster into the bag or are you using velcro to secure it
Where did you get that shirt?!
I was wondering if you are making these Velcro backed holsters yet? Super interested!
what's the name of that kydex pattern on the velcro holster?
Two words "Grey Man", I like you're video's, good ideas, I like how you approach putting things together. I tend to incorporate EDC with normal clothing, as soon as you start carrying Oakley bags in OD green or wearing tactical pants, shirts with gun quotes or pictures on em, and carrying bags when you exercise, screams "I carry a gun". what if you leave the bag on the ground and walk off, It can happen, If that happens: you have left a bag with a gun in a public place. But that just my opinion, keep up the interesting videos.
Nice! Surprised you didn't go with the Multi-cam on that pack as usual.
Haha, yeah that would be my usual choice. I just really liked the olive color for some reason on this pack.
Thanx for posting this great video. Your ammo choice is spot on.
This is an old video have you checked out the 511 lv6?
Have you done the review on the FMK?
You should check out 5.11 they have a bag like this but it has a compartment that's hidden that you can access quickly because it's essentially a Velcro pocket. It's probably more expensive but you can have your gun hidden even if someone goes through your bag.
Do you have a website you sell stuff on? I would like that holster with velcro on it for my g19.
Do you do any other velcro holsters? I have a P320 and the Oakley Extractor 2.0. Would rather keep my P320 rather than getting a Glock.
It’s been some years. How did the bag hold up for you long term?
I thought you said you had a side armor plate in the bag.
Armor in the pack!!! Sweet!!!
what was the total cost of setup excluding pistol???
really impressed the soft armor is clever good job man
What kind of plate did you buy?
What do you suggest for a gym bag of a sort to carry a weight lifting belt and straps?
How do you deal with the fact that the firearm is the first thing exposed when you open the bag, and that you can’t access anything else in the bag without exposing it?
Do a walk around vid of your kydex shop and the process of how you do your holsters! Keep up the good content
Where are your holsters for display? Where can i see them?
Hey man, just shoot me an email at mikeshootsguns@gmail.com and I'll get you some info.
Is the small interior pouch included with the bag?
Yes it is
