OMG thank you so much for this!!! We are a few weeks of starting our vanlife adventure around Australia as single mama and almost one year old baby girl.... thank you so much! This has given me EXCELLENT insight for costs. Deep gratitude 🤗🤗
Awesome job mate i drove up to Darwin 4 years ago from Melbourne .once hit the outback explore as much as possible did a total of 10700 Km in a little over 3.5 week drove a landcrusier Kakadu model spent $4500 for Diesel all nights were spent in Hotels and Motels no regreats at all planning to do it again through WA Crossing the Simpson Desert.
Thanks for this .We are Aussie born and bread and we have travelled most of Northern Territory. But not much of SOUTH AND W.A. . ,I Think you did very well. Re accommodation, and Vehicle Maintainence
I love that no body like canberra. The only way they could bring potential residence was to legalize the growing of marijuana to two per person in a house hold.
Very Well done guys Have always like your attention to detail with running the Van. Didn't realise you'd been logging expenses, but brilliant that you have been.
We have! It's been difficult to share it the way we would like, but one day we intend to make it all available to people so they can use and abuse of it. Cheers!
Second comment that hailstorm in alice was crazy i was house sitting 200 metres down the road from you guys and trees were falling all over in was a bit scary small world hey.
I paused the video at 9:24 to do something and when I looked back I noticed that in the shot you were just outside my home town of Warrnambool in Victoria.
My family and myself will be travelling from the Vic - NSW border up to Darwin. Is there anyway of getting a list of your camping stops on your route up? Could be handy for us
I've done Darwin to Melbourne a few years ago and it was fantastic. Would love to do the reverse and even more of Oz down the track. We are not in such a good position in Melbourne now with COVID. Hope it is much better by October.
@@colinl9018 definitely wearing mask. Glad at last it's mandatory. Should have been done weeks ago. I'm a healthcare worker so been wearing a mask for work since March.
You guys are living the dream of millions... I am jealous 😜😜.. Frankly you guys are amazing and I love you guys... Enjoy and keep it up... Experiences Matter
Not a bad price for that many days. What you spent on your journey throughout Australia 🇦🇺...is what I spend for 7 days in Cancun. If I add airfare it cost me roughly $8900 (Australian dollars). Buts it's all about the adventure, so 👊RESPECT👊
$6k in 100 days is not expensive! Most people would blow that in 2 return flights and 10 days accomodation + food, alcohol and a couple experiences! In my opinion experience and memories out trump money! We’re planning caravan trip next year, budgeting $1k a week so I think you’re doing fine haha
3000 on diesel is bloody great value. I drove from blue mountains to Broome and back (15000ish ks) in an thirsty old G60 patrol cost me about $12000 just in fuel
I just found your channel. Awesome context (thanks again Alexandre for the 3d models). How did you manage to spend just that on supermarket/food/groceries? We are doing the lap atm and food costs and arm an a leg. Also with $90 at the crocs and $117 at Sovereign Hill how did you manage to just spend $248. WA national park fee is $15 every time (we hot the 4 week for $60) That's some impressive saving on expenses. I cannot even fathom how you managed to do it that cheap.
Merci beaucoup ✌ I'm sorry that you only saw Canada 🇨🇦 in winter and in the city....winter in Canada is in the Great outdoors (xc/mountain skiing, snowshoeing, ski-doo, ice fishing....). But always a pleasure to see your ad-van-tures 😊👍
We absolutely loved Canada! And can't wait to come back and see it without that much snow! BEAUTIFUL country filled with BEAUTIFUL people! Thanks for having us!
Nice video guys! it looks like you're really happy while at the same time have been through some rough patches but not to tough to quit. :-) Did you have a map where you planned to camp? I would like to do Sydney to Darwin but I don't want to get in trouble sleeping at unwelcome areas. How does one get around that? Any information would help since you have first hand experience. Thanks in advance. looking forward to following your journey.
Well done you two. Interesting costings. We are doing something similar in a RV from early Sept for 70 days. I suspect we will spend considerably more than you guys.......(you don't know my wife). Have you done a vid of what you saw on the trip???

Hey guys! Love what u've done with the delica. I'm from Australia too and also have the same l400 delica but a 96. I just wanted to ask when do u guys lock ur centre differential? What type of terrain do u use it on? I've used 4H AWD mode plenty of times but never used the centre differential lock. I heard that it can cause transmission windup if used incorrectly. Thanks for sharing ur journey! With much love from Perth 🖤
a bit out with fuel price as diesel is closer to $1.60 average when traveling + freeloaders like you should stay away & if you actually PAY for accommodation or camping sites then come over

How do you address your bath problem in your looooooooog journey?
Gettin the twang in your accent mate👍
As of Feb 2022, fuel prices have now almost doubled. With capital cities charging $2.20 a litre!
I got this idea a couple of days ago, but it seems to be really expensive......too bad.
So 800 bucks for food each in 111 days is really good - hope you enjoyed your trip although way too short to truly enjoy it.
