- Task Force History presents "1st Infantry Division in Germany 1954 - 1955". These unpublished historical photographs were taken by an unknown soldier of the 1st Infantry Division (presumably serving in a supply and service unit) in Germany approximately 1954-1955, stationed in Warner Barracks in Bamberg. Some of the themes included in this video are Warner Barracks Bamberg, Port of Embarkation Bremerhaven and the USNS General William O. Darby.

I was in germany in the US Army dental corp, at william Odarby kassern, in 1966 to 1967. Back then you always went by airplane, but to make sure you stll left, 20 Days early, in case you had to go back By ship....102 weeks in the US Army...lol
