  • Task Force History presents "11th Armored Cavalry Regiment in Germany 1957 - 1958". These unpublished historical photographs were taken by an unknown soldier of Howitzer Company, 1st Battalion, 11th ACR “Blackhorse” in Germany 1957 - 1958, stationed in Mansfield Kaserne in Straubing. Some of the themes and people included in this video are Brooklyn Army Terminal, Mansfield Kaserne Straubing, Camp Poellnricht Hohenfels Training Area, Grafenwoehr Training Area, Westwall Training Structure, City of Cham, Operation Sabre Hawk, 11th Airborne Division and soldiers Marcavage, Mc Grath, Woodford and Roberts.

    Interesting seeing the M41s and the APCs whose designation escapes me. I served on M41s in the NZ army until they swopped them for Scorpion CVR(T).
