Imagine being a little boy who sees The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show and you grow up to play with Paul McCartney in your backyard. Thanks for posting.
he's playing with the true "boss" that night
Bruce was 14 when the Beatles were on Sullivan. But I understand the sentiment. We were all boys before that night. The next day we started growing up.
and with Paul having learnt and be playing a song that YOU wrote.....
@@mrsoikawa Paul doesn't have to learn songs. He knows them all even before someone writes them.
Wow 💘
Just goes to show that you can be Bruce Springsteen and still have a look that says “Holy shit, I’m on stage playing with Paul McCartney” on your face for 8 minutes
Check the vid of Bruce playing with Chuck Berry, the look on Bruce’s face is awesome!
@@catebannan7343 Or John Lennon playing with Chuck, as well. Everyone has idols.
see him with roger mcguinn ... turn turn turn ...
Too bad Springsteen cannot sing. He is a cool guy and writes good songs. His voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard. His first band in 65 never made it until the sixties legends petered out in the early seventies leaving an opening for him to make it big.
@@thetruthfornow6045 many great musicians and song writers can't sing vey well .. yet they create tunes that move people and deliver a message .. your critical view is boring ...
I love that Bruce just hops in his car and heads up the Parkway to Rutherford on a Friday night to jam with Paul McCartney, just for fun.
Thursday night
@@michaelkatz4277 Oh, yeah. I forgot what day it was. Thursday night, any night, legendary.
Bruce loves to be noticed
@@TheDjnauj Nah. Just different musical artists enjoying a jam with each other. If it's not to your taste, I understand. But it's definitely apparent that they were having fun!
@@wwbuirkle Yes. Most legendary rock stars are so withdrawn.
one about to turn 80 another nearly half way thru his 70s and they have the stamina of men half their ages. encouraging to a person who is half their age.
Agreed 100%
Eddie Vedder, Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney doing 3 hour gigs is the norm for them.
Bruce looks so happy, like a little boy whose dreams came true!
They did.
Paul joined Bruce concert in Hyde Park few years ago
Hello favorite supporter,i appreciate your love and past…I hope to get to know you much more confidential
Two working class lads that made it big. Love it!
Liverpool and Jersey
@@TonyBurgess1969 freehold ...
true - been a while since either one has wanted for a meal, that's for sure.
Working class? I don’t think Paul ever worked a “day in the life”doing any manual labor job. If Bruce is for the working man, then don’t charge so much for your tickets.
@@michaelchamp3093 LOL- right on.. Paul started playing in a band when he was 14 - did he EVER have a "real" job?
2023 Bruce Springsteen and the e street band tour is gonna be epic
If you didn’t smile and tear up during this magic moment, you are dead. ❤️
Well Paul was dead…..
I've never been a Springsteen fan, but Paul's bass sounds amazing!
@@jamesbyersmusic Neither was my boyfriend…until he saw Bruce in concert I took him to in 2016…he was hooked! ☺️
@@pattygoody That same thing happened to me in 1976. Couldn't stand him. Girlfriend took me to the Spectrum in Philly to see him and i was an immediate fan!
Hello favorite supporter,i appreciate your love and past…I hope to get to know you much more confidential
imagine having Paul McCartney playing bass on your song
and the backing vocals... i don't remenber that any other person invited to stage had this honor....
One of the greatest moments I’ve experienced attending live music for nearly 40 years. The respect and enthusiasm between Macca and The Boss was palpable even if you were sitting in the last row in the last section of MetLife Stadium.
I love how Paul is super concentrating on the GLORY DAYS bass line ... that's how you stay sharp, you keep challenging yourself.
Beautiful pickup. Like Dylan said, he’s never let up.
I was at this concert last night! BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE! (Despite the nosebleed seats.) Much love for these two guys.
You lucky devil.
It was the best concert ever
One lucky person. Concert of a lifetime. Wish I was there.
I was there last night too. Such an AMAZING show. Those two can rock-rings around many a younger performers. Such bliss!
I was there as well. At the concert and in the nosebleed section. Great, great show!
I was at the show last night but my parents and I couldn’t afford tickets so we just listened to the show in the parking lot
Damn I wish I coulda got you in!
I know what THAT feels like, because I listened to Paul's show in Cleveland back in the early '90s, outside the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium (torn down and replaced with the current "First Energy Stadium." There were SUPPOSED to be 2 tickets held for us at the box office, and they WEREN'T THERE. We came down from Windsor, Ontario. Got in to see the last 1/4 way at the back of the field, some guy sold us those tickets. Saw us walking around the outside of the stadium. We didn't get scalped either, they were face value, otherwise we wouldn't have bought them.
When you're on stage with Paul McCartney and he's singing back up for you on one of your songs. How many people can say that?!
John Lennon
Denny Laine was the first person I came to think of
@@janfreidun Billy Preston
Michael Jackson
Billy Joel
This is one of the best parts about living in the Northeast. Whenever these types of world-class artists come to North Jersey or Philly or the Garden, people like Bruce Springsteen or Billy Joel or Paul Simon randomly show up to play with them. It’s awesome.
Bruce looks at least ten years younger. He's so deliriously happy every time he gets to play with Sir Paul.
When Bruce starts showing up on stage at other concerts, he’s ready to tour. C’mon 2023!
Hello favorite supporter,i appreciate your love and past…I hope to get to know you much more confidential
AND THAT IS HOW YOU DO IT AT 80....OR ANY AGE
Paul's bass playing is always top shelf !
80 years of age and he'd still put most singers in their 20's to shame!
Yup , most singers and their auto-tune saviour.
A magic moment in an evening full of them
What a show! How about the perfectly timed rain during Live and Let Die?!
Bit noisy and out out of tune .were they in pub earlier?
The SIR and the BOSS singing and strumming along for Paul's birthday... 🎉🤩🎼🎸What a *GLORY DAY* indeed!🙏💕🙏
Happy Birthday, legend! 🤩🤟

They don’t make them like this anymore incredible duo
shame they cant make a album togethor
Paul and Bruce duet on stage and then he moves into Let It Be... can't get much better than that.
The Beatles together and as solo, Bruce Springsteen, and so many others of my generation really did give us Glory Days of music. So glad when I lived when I did.
Hello how are you doing ?
4:18...Paul having authentic fun! This is why he is legendary. Thank you Paul for decades of good music and hard work, and mostly, thank you for having fun while doing it!

Good.
You?
@@nickhill8612 I’m fine .. how is your day going ?..
Springsteen is amazing. The sheer joy he exudes is infectious and he looks more and more like Robert De Niro with every passing year. ;)
That’s what happens when you’re from Jersey. I’m 38 and starting to look more like De Niro too. 🙈 😉
They're very good friends 😊 I just love the joy on his face while he's playing one of his songs and Paul McCartney is singing backing vocals ❤️
Springsteen is terrible
Watched the DeNiro film Cape Fear (1991) a couple of weeks ago, and some of his facial expressions and the Southern accent he used in his role somehow reminded me of Springsteen. (Well, Bruce is from South Jersey.)
A 72 year old and a 79 year old....lighting it UP! Happy 80th tomorrow.....Sir Paul...we love love love you!!! ----- and we love you too Boss!
Was there! Best show ever! Paul is incredible at 80!
I can barely walk after a spin class and I’m 38!!! Unbelievable, 80 years strong! 😉😀
Every musician on that stage is loving this moment. Maybe only Mcartney has the status not to be fazed by Bruuuuuce!. Love it!
When you say “maybe only McCartney has the status not to be phased”, I assume you’re speaking only of musicians on the stage at that moment. Because there are dozens of artists that have the status not to be phased by Bruce Springsteen.
@@alexandriaocasio-smollett5078 thanks for the tip.
I think you mean "Fazed" but yes I agree.
@@katbar6066 Doh!
It was nice of Paul to let that guy come up on stage and sing a couple songs. Must have been a real treat for him.
Awesome hearing Bruce do a Beatles song with a Beatle !
But they could have picked a better one in my opinion
Paul McCartney is a man with a lot of friends. Great
Hello how are you
Look at how great Paul's hair is. It's a great cut. He looks fabulous!! 🎸
He does dye it though
@@bulleranse8323 He looks great either way.
Well aren’t they having fun! They sound great together. Can’t wait for those American dates to be announced.
McCartney is hilarious, he can't help but be cheeky and funny.
Paul knows the words, he's even singing off mic, so cool.
Politely not treading on Bruce's territory.
I love it when Paul winks at Bruce in accordance with the lyrics. " In the wink of a young girl's eye "
BTW Paul turns 80 yrs young on the 18th June 2022, which is today in Australia.
Happy Birthday James.
We Love you, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!!!

I was watching a tribute to Glen Campbell on some awards show. When Rhinestone cowboy was played the camera went to McCartney and his wife. They were both singing at the top of their lungs. It tickled me he knew that song.
Also so cool to play one of Bruce's great songs! Paul really is a class act.
Wow 80?
That's crazy.
I think that those 2 young guys have a future in rock`n`roll 😁😁🎸🎸
Two songs with The Boss and he goes right onto Let It Be. Who else can do that
Two....LEGIT....PROPER.....OLD SKOOL Legends. None of these modern wannabes can hold a candle to these guys!
u got that right
So true... I just tuned into Glastonbury live and there was a guy headlining called Kendrick Lama. I could only listen for about 20 seconds and I hope I never have to again.
We'll never have GREAT (in anything) ever again-as humans
What a jewel Paul is!! True gentleman, and a man of the earth. Please live forever, we need you!
An amazing concert moment last night... one of many. Electrifying--we all erupted in our section when he announced the Boss, then we all sang along. Glory days indeed.
Paul is 80 years old today? Happy birthday Paul thanks for all the music all the fun and all the memories love and best wishes from your fans
Masters of Music !!! Icons of Rock
Bruce is just a ROCKER!!!!!!
and Paul is a mocker (from A Hard Day's Night interview 😆)

I'll NEVER listen to any other versions of EITHER of these songs EVER AGAIN without thinking of this clip...their sheer enjoyment, energy, and obvious respect for each other and for the music is truly unforgettable
The “Boss” and Sir Paul- the legend
If anyone had any thoughts about Bruce not being game ready for his New Tour, this should put everyone’s fear to rest because he’s going too rock this world once again, and I think he’s in fine form. 🎼❤️🇦🇺❤️🇺🇸🕺🏻💃🎸☘️

He’s The Boss, never tired and always up for it! 😎

He sings just fantastic in comparison to Paul McCartney .
Paul has well lost his voice by now.
If you listen to him with others his voice sounds terrible.
At 80 it's time for him to hang up his boots.
That's why he has so many artists singing as he cannot sing a lot of the songs anymore.
He sounds awful in the backround here.
@@annemurphy2572 well WHOP DEE DOO ... i would still pay to see him again and again $$$ 99% of the newer artists just lip sink and their music is HORRIBLE at best

I was there too, great show and Bruce sounded the same as when I saw him on the Born in the USA tour back in the day. Paul and the band were amazing all night, Abe on the drums is spectacular!
My daughter and I saw him in Orlando in row ten on the left side, coming from Huyton Liverpool to see an ex beatle in Orlando was a dream come true for me… not far from where Paul lived!
My first Bruce concert was also Born in the USA at Giant Stadium in NJ. Awesome puts it mildly, but Paul, never got the chance. One of my biggest regrets. Must have had been amazing. I'm sorry but a legend like Paul, must have been phenomenal.
@@LiverpoolGurl1 We were on the other side of Camping World Stadium 3 weeks ago with 3 of our adult children (34 & 25 year olds). They were absolutely amazed by Paul. Great show!
@@thomasreen5860 My daughter is living in Liverpool UK at the minute, we live in Florida it was certainly not a hot night, it was great night for the show. I was worried it would be too hot. The odds are... most of the people there are Bruce fans who were at least ONE of his Metlife shows back in 2016.

Hello there
How are you doing ?
My very first rock album I ever had was Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA. I guess I was about 10 years old. I had it on a cassette, and I loved and played it so much. Awesome to see him perform this song with Sir Paul.
Favorite song?
My first cassette also! I was 17. Bruce became my BOSS!

@@funnylookingfoetus that's my wife's too! Just kidding. I'm fond of Glory Days because I'm a 47 year old man and it reminds me of playing baseball my 8th grade year. Human Touch is also up there, very underrated album in my opinion.
@@shagsmith3410 Honestly it's hard to pick any particular song from Born in the USA cause it's just a solid album full of classics. Every song echoes through my soul.
I didn't listen much to Human Touch to be honest, though I like the song. My musical taste quickly went into a different direction. U2, REM, Radiohead.
This is the best thing on UA-cam this year!

My goodness. The world needs more of this right now.
How cool is Paul at 80!
He's amazing
This is pretty damn perfect. I never thought of Glory Days as a sad song, more nostalgic than anything. This version was very poignant.
Glory Days at its heart revolves around a guy who has seen life pass him by in all sorts of different angles. It's nostalgia he's clinging onto because it's the only thing he has in his barren life.
Excellent close up live onstage video wow you must've had a great spot in person! What a great performance, this is wonderful to see here on youtube, thanks!
Great, Paul and Bruce 👏👏👏👏
I've been to at least 400-500 shows. This was one of the best ones. Thank you for uploading this.
The pure joy on The Boss face, playing with Macca made me nearly cut full onions! Saw Paul last light play to a full house in Sydney Australia (28th Oct 2023) and it was just magical.
Yes, one can only congratulate Sir Paul on his 80th birthday
