- Richard Hammond meticulously explores the intricacies of the 2000 model Kawasaki Drifter 800, delving into its features, performance, and handling.
The Kawasaki Drifter 800, a throwback to the retro-styled cruiser, takes inspiration from the iconic Harley-Davidson. While it may not match the prestige of its Harley counterpart, the Drifter distinctively offers its own flavor and promises an exceptional riding experience.

I’m a dedicated HD rider, but I bought one on a whim years ago. Ended up putting 40 thousand kms on the bike in two seasons. Fantastic bikes!
That is advice I needed 😊
Guys I have three of these. Two drifters and one bobber. Damn good bike.
Im a British bike owner/rider, have been for over 40 years, ive had Harleys too of all sizes, they are great bikes, especially the Sportsters, great fun to ride. Ive just bought on of these in full Indian guise, two tone paint with pinstripes, Vance and Hines pipes with fishtails, stick shift gearlever, as well as foot operated, optional, big single seat with studs, Indian on tank, footboard rubbers, gearshift knob, whitewalls, powder coated wheels and spokes and now black, headlamp cowls, twin spotlamps each side of headlight, indian carry rack on rear fender with Indian Motorcyle blankets rolled up, the list is endless, there is not anywhere Kawasaki badged , this lokks like the real thing, people ask and take photos of it. I love for messing about on
I have a 2002, and it's just a fun, light bike with a cool, retro "homage" going on. I don't pretend it's actually an Indian, it wears the tank badges it came with. But it's fun, and it gets looks, for sure.
Too bad Richard didn't do his research beforehand I'd love to get my hands on that rear brake caliper
I had an 1997 800 Vulcan classic
Looks better with two tone paint and a solo seat
I have a 1500, my bike looks way nicer than this, they look wierd with the passenger seat, looks way cooler with a solo seat on it
I recently acquired a 1500... basket case. Is it good for a big guy? I'm a 300-pounder.
Drier forever :) I'm satisfied.
A prototype for the Polaris Scout. Too bad the Polaris Indian Scout has so much plastic, ...very unlike the original Drifter 800..
It is a 50s style bike....its nice!
Rather take this cross country then an original Indian chief!!!!
Why's the picture so dark?
The second hand value of cruisers is rock solid,r1s are cheap as chips, bikers are getting older, grab one while you can
MIENTRAS MAS LA ODIEN MEJOR PARA MI PORQUE ASI PUEDO COMPRAR MAS Y A BUEN PRECIO.
The seat screws up the aesthetics on this bike. It should be a single single seat like on Indians or at least at least hug the fender instead of rising up off of it.
can anyone hlp me out. i wondering if theres a fairing batwing that will fit the drifter
Angel Balderrama Mutazu makes a Universal Batwing that fits. A couple from Mutazu will fit her, by the way.
What is the costume Hammond is wearing ?
Space suit😊
That gear makes his shoulders so buffy
moi j'aime bien
Indian drifter 1200
How do you get the rear wheel off?
just renewed the rear tyre full rear stripdown and reasembled mega job
I thought it looked like that. Pain in the arse. Cool-looking bike, though. And that's from someone who doesn't like cruisers. I own a Buell Ulysses.
With Wrenches - Daaa!
Talk dirty to it!
Forklift.
Nah...it is a nice bike!
Late comer to the Drifter bandwagon. Stick to your crouch rocket and avoid real bikes!
cant understand i liked Richard in topgear .. he is so damn biased .. if its not a 1 billion horsepower bodystacker .. it`s shit .. hell his review on the dragstar 650, saying it was a borring machine to ride bla bla .. perhaps he should LEARN how to freaking drive instead..
..can't help it..but what a ugly scooter..
..and Hammond don't mention it once..
What an abomination.
Put those fenders on a 1500 nomad .. that would look okay, but NOT on 800cc!
