How to connect Raspberry PI to LAPTOP with LAN cable

- In this video, I will show you how to connect raspberry pi to laptop screen and keyboard without external monitor or keyboard. Learn how to connect raspberry pi 4 to laptop using ethernet cable. This is simple method using PuTTY and VNC viewer and LAN cable (no need of finding the IP address).
1. Materials required:
Raspberry Pi 4
RJ45 LAN cable
32GB SD card and adapter
2. Software required:
Raspberry Pi OS:

If the password doesn’t work, u can reinstall raspberry os onto the micro ssd and set the password yourself in the settings window on raspberry imager

one question: was the LAN cable required? I disconnected it and it still did the trick

If you did not change the password it is: raspberry and the username: pi
No no, you will see the raspberry desktop. You can close the the window and then you‘ll see your desktop again. No data will be deleted.

i did everything exactly, until the step it show cannot currently show the desktop, I can not find the resolution option in the display options, D1 does not exist

Before you click on write, go to the setting icon, and edit the username as well as password.
@@herberthendriks7492 if you are using another os other than rasbian OS, the password will be changed. So use rasbian os and try again

i am unable to enter password. what should i do?
Same for me but I managed to solve it reinstaling again the boot OS with the raspberry imager but this time clicking on advanced options, enabling ssh and there you have an option to enter a password.

this aint correct it is over wifi it aint laggy but if u didisconnected the cableit will still work

i try to connect to the raspberry via cmd, but i have an error: ssh: connect to host (the ip of the raspberry) port 22: Connection refused

@@unrendered821 nop, i didnt. but i guess the usb i use. because is the usb from a old atx pc power supply
@@holayou I think I found the problem for me. Raspberry pis only support FAT32 or FAT16 on micro SD cards so that's SD cards between 16-32gb. The cards have to be A1 or A2 grade as well or else the raspberry pi cants read it and thus won't boot
