Yeah it’s really going to be a nice big green space. When mowed and maintained it should be a nice feature of the property. If I ever want to convert it to growing area, that is possible also!
It’s really nice to have the availability of that space as open green space now. Before, it was next to impossible to navigate that area due to dirt piles and debris and stuff. Now it’s all excellent usable space!!
Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed it. There is just something fulfilling about working your own property, whether it is clearing, planting, mowing, ploughing, etc. You get to see actual results of your hard work (and we get to see the results of your hard work just by watching a video 😜). Looks like an early spring so hoping for an early start on the yard work and spring cleaning this year.
You have no idea how much I'm hoping for an early spring. Hahaha. Our weather keeps bouncing from 30 to 60 and back again, mostly rainy/gloomy though. Not many sunny (warm) days yet, but it's only early March. I'm just being impatient. There's so much I wanna get started on at the farm, but in the meantime I'm looking for a set of field discs to cultivate the field, and doing some projects around the house in preparation! :-)
Fall is a great time to clean up the farm backyard and plant BEACH. This is a fun and rewarding activity that helps you enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery of autumn.❤❤
Best of luck on getting the equipment up and going again. Might be a good idea to totally remove the tank and drop some rock in and shake it a while, that should break loose any other rust or whatever is in the tank. I've been doing crazy things like making homemade spinach pasta, pickled beets, and refrigerator dill pickles. 🤔 🚜🚜🚜
HI Lonnie! Homemade stuff is always BEST - I bet it's all delicious! Yes, I'm definitely going to drop the tank this year and get it cleaned out. It's plastic though, so I'll have to find a less-abrasive way to do it. It's all cruddy though. Once that's clean, then it's carb time. Hahaha.
I’m just waiting to do my first mow of my front field. I got my topper started to do the preliminary cut. And the mower is running. Just need a few days of dry weather to get started. Praying it will be tomorrow. Roll on spring 😃
Mike, how nice for you - we're still in the grips of "winter" here in Central New York, though we haven't really had snow to speak of this winter - maybe just a few inches, a few times so far (melting within the same week). It's still cold though, and gloomy - I wish we had some nice 60 degree days, but we're still about 6 or 8 weeks away from that.
@@BuyingTheFarm We don’t get the extremes of weather you get but its always dank and damp here during the winter. It’s now 3 days without rain and a steady breeze has dried off the field. I bought DR max pro a few years back and it’s great for the brambles and heavy grass a great bit of kit ideally suited to soft ground. Hope spring comes early for you. It’s very frustrating when you want to get stuck in
Participate in a harvest festival. Harvest festivals are a great way to celebrate fall.
Agreed!!!
I really like it, the yard is so big, the land looks really fertile

The backyard is spacious. I also want a large piece of land like that to raise livestock and grow something
