Nice investment and nice piece of machinery. They are so versatile and do so much, besides the obvious digging. If you could find a thumb for it it can be used to easily pick things up as well. That backhoe will be a great addition. Forgot about that roller. It does a nice job. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed watching.
Oh!! A thumb - that’s a great idea. I’ll have to look into that. I always have big crap that I need to lift and move (logs, etc)… it’s gonna be a busy spring 😁
This is an important time for the farm. The large delivery and equipment round-up helps ensure that the farm can operate efficiently and safely in the coming year.
Thank you for that. As it turns out, I just discovered a ton of water in my hydraulic oil (it's milky). I randomly lost brakes and steering 2 weeks ago. Not only is the level low, but it's also milky. I'm going to drain and replace, and they try to figure out where there might be a leak. Everything looks dry and as it should be.
Kool new to you toys. I've ran a roller a few times. The one I ran had a huge water tank to add additional weight to compact the area more. Thinking it'd be kool to have one run over my yard. Happy Easter.
Hey Lonnie! Happy Easter to you as well. Yeah, this roller has a big water tank as well. It's relatively empty for the winter though. I actually was at the farm yesterday uncovering equipment and seeing what would start up, and NOTHING starts. Hahaha. Ughh. Including the roller. It was a gloomy 40-degree day though, so I'll go back and try when the weather warms up a bit. :-)
@BuyingTheFarm you have a jump pack don't you? I've been going yo get one but haven't yet. Need to get a small air compressor that'll air up tires, or one of those crazy things about the size of a jump pack.
Yeah Lonnie - I have a jump pack, as well as a tiny battery air compressor. They work find on bikes, motorcycles and smaller vehicles, but I've found that once you get up to trucks and larger they just don't work as good. The air compressors don't have enough power to get to the higher PSI's, and the jump packs don't have sustained amperage to crank those larger engines.

Good to see you still at it and..... hoarding 🚜🚕🚌🚚🚖🚜equipment!
Hahahaha hi George! Yeah, still trying to find the magic combo of what will work without being too big or too small!! I hope things are well!!
Congrats on the New Purchase 👏🏼👏🏼👌🏽🍾🍾 Looks in Great Condition!!
Thanks Jonny! Yeah, it looks like a good new, and should provide lots of great content as I make a mess learning how to use it!! Hahahaha.

You bet it does!
Keep a close eye on the hydraulics. Moving manure causes pitting and leaks.

So I'll check all my equipment and make sure it's working properly. Any equipment that is damaged or no longer usable will also be discarded.
Very good suggestions!

Evaluate the condition of all equipment. Identify equipment that needs repair or replacement
Absolutely
