Doing the calculations for the kilotons of TNT used, one TNT block is One meter cubed of TNT, which is essentially 1,650 kilograms of TNT, since there's 1.3 million blocks, we just do 1,650 x 1,300,000 which comes to 2145000000 kilograms of TNT, since nuclear weapons are typically measured in kilotons of TNT, this becomes 2145 kilotons, which becomes 2.145 megatons, just shy of the 57 megatons used in the Tsar Bomba (world's most powerful nuclear weapon), anywho, if we were to make a Minecraft bomb larger than the Tsar Bomba, Wunba would need 57 million subscribers, SO LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN PEOPLE!
@Kaiguy pq6fd How exactly is this TNT block 37.6 times more powerful than the Tsar Bomba? I believe you should read the head comment again. Because you're stating it's 37.6 times more powerful than the Tsar Bomba, this This Masive TNT block is only 2145 kilotons (2.145 megatons), however the Tsar bomba is 50 megatons, implying that the tnt block would require 47855 additional kilotons (47.855 megatons). So statistically speaking, you are wrong. Also, the head comment never mentioned that the Tnt was (37.6x more powerful). Also, those statistics are mathematically inaccurate. The Tsar Bomba was intended to be 100 megatons but was deemed too unsafe for testing owing to the fallout, which means if the TNT block 2145 Kilotons was multiplyed by 37.6 it would equal 80652 kilotons meaning that if the Tsar Bomba theoritically was never cut in half it would still be stronger by 19 megatons. So to sum it up you sir shouldn't be correcting people as your math is mathematically wrong all of it.

I'm going into this knowing how unsatifiying big TNT explosions tend to be any time you got TNT high enough that it literally can't even land on unexploded terrain before it goes off, and I'm just just increasingly aware that the sheer volume of work needed to actually make a TNT stack this big built in survival mode is gonna be infinitely more impressive than the actual explosion.
The Editing, the mc world, let alone recording the entire video along with working on the project proves how much you've exhausted yourself just to simply entertain every single one of your subscribers. Great Work! 🔥👍

I loved every minute of the video. It would have been epic if we had gotten to see the explosion more in depth, as well as more of the aftermath. It all being fitted into a one minute section at the end felt so bittersweet.

Then you must have NEVER watched the 2011 Oregon Video. That's definitely GONNA GIVE people something to call elaborate. YOU should go watch it and come UP with your own conclusions. There, I did it.

13:40. It is a common misconception that a minecraft tnt block contains 1,650 kg of tnt. A minecraft tnt block only contains 412.5 kilograms of tnt, assuming trinitrotoluene is the explosive material. Let me explain: In minecraft, a block of tnt is 16 pixels in all 3 dimensions, X, Y, and Z. If we look at the top of the tnt block, we can see 16 individual tubes filled with explosives, they grey material. The red material is simply the packaging. There are 100 centimetres in a metre. 1 minecraft block is 1 cubic metre. Each tube of actual explosives is only 2 pixels wide. 100 / 16 = 6.25cm. 1 pixel is 6.25 cm wide. Finding the top surface area for one explosive tube: 2 x 6.25 = 12.5 12.5^2 = 156.25 cm^2. Now, lets find the volume of one explosive tube, assuming they run the full height of the block, which is one metre: 100 x 156.25 = 15,625 cm^3. Now, we get the volume for all 16 tubes. 16 x 15,625 = 250,000 cm^3 Now that we have the volume for all of the tubes, we can calculate the ACTUAL mass of all of the TNT in one minecraft block. the density of TNT is 1.65 g/cm^3 1.65 x 250,000 = 412,500 grams of tnt. 412,500 / 1000 = 412.5 kilograms of tnt. Now, what was the actual yield of all of the tnt in the video? In the video, he states that the yield is 2,421 KT of tnt. We now know this to be false. There are 1,372,032 blocks of tnt. We multiply this by the mass of tnt in one block, in tonnes. 1,372,032 x 0.4125 = 565,963.2 tonnes. 565,963.2 tonnes = 565.9632 kilotonnes All of the tnt in the pile is actually only about 566 kilotonnes. For context, the largest pure fission weapon tested by the USA was Ivy King, which had a yield of 500KT, 66 KT less powerful than the tnt pile created in this video. The largest nuclear bomb, the Tsar Bomb (which was thermonuclear), had a yield of 50 Megatonnes, aka 50,000 KT. For anyone who got this far, sorry if I gave you a headache.
In the video it is stated that the yield of the first nuke detonated by Oppenheimer was 18.6kt, in reality It was actually around 25kt. The actual yield of the explosion in the video would be around 22-23 times more powerful, not 130. This would equate to the yield of either a large fission bomb, or a pretty small fusion bomb. Keep in mind this is way down near the bottom of the "largest bombs ever tested" list.... @@ramalshebl60

10:21 AARRGGGHHHHHH
44:00 no way bro rickrolled us
That was the SECOND Rick roll of the vid lol
You used to do dominoes. Now you're doing a dominoes-like thing in Minecraft, that orders a pizza... from Dominos Pizza.
Your nuke is 2.42 megatons powerful, more powerful than the B83, but nothing compared to these bombs:
the Tsar Bomba, which is 50 megatons,
Castle Bravo, which is 15 megatons, and
Castle Yankee, which is ~12.5 megatons.
I might be wrong
I loved every minute of the video. It would have been epic if we had gotten to see the explosion more in depth, as well as more of the aftermath. It all being fitted into a one minute section at the end felt so bittersweet.
Because it was bad lmao.
Just try it yourself, nothing would happen differently if you place 1milion or 2 million tnt.
Also it exploded from the bottom so the tnt was flung upwards
Yeah, this video is kinda dumb. It wastes too much time showing this pointless elaborate setup, and the payoff was disappointing.

hello
His vids are fake
Minecraft videos are repetitive like HARDCORE MINECRAFT I MADE 1,000,000,000,000 BLOCKS MEGABASE IN 4 DAYS (IN-GAME TIME) REALLY I DIDN'T CHEAT TRUST ME GUYS
The determination is unreal. One time some weird stuff happened to my ssd when i was using unity and my pc bricked for months. One day i randomly decided to plug it in again and it worked. I still have no clue why it happened. But some games just cause your pc to do funky things in the hardware that we aren't even aware of 😂
This is probably one the greatest minecraft videos ever made, the only thing is that I think we all wanted a little more of the explosion, or honestly just to see a little more of the crater afterwards
this is the most effort that has gone into a rick roll ever. it's amazing.
Then you must have NEVER watched the 2011 Oregon Video. That's definitely GONNA GIVE people something to call elaborate. YOU should go watch it and come UP with your own conclusions.
There, I did it.

24:00 Oh dude!!! I love domino reaction videos! I think they're astounding skillful art and relaxing. I might have watched yours at one point =) It's so cool too see things circle around like that.
And this, kids, is why you practice the 3-2-1 backup method. There is no reason for something this important to you to only be saved on one drive on an actively used PC. Good job on the project btw!
I've been binging these videos for like 3 days now, and I like how in every video, there's a little short lesson or insightful soap box you add-- it helps me in my own creative motivation too.
13:40. It is a common misconception that a minecraft tnt block contains 1,650 kg of tnt.
A minecraft tnt block only contains 412.5 kilograms of tnt, assuming trinitrotoluene is the explosive material.
Let me explain:
In minecraft, a block of tnt is 16 pixels in all 3 dimensions, X, Y, and Z.
Finding the top surface area for one explosive tube:
2 x 6.25 = 12.5
12.5^2 = 156.25 cm^2.
Now, lets find the volume of one explosive tube, assuming they run the full height of the block, which is one metre:
100 x 156.25 = 15,625 cm^3.
Now, we get the volume for all 16 tubes.
16 x 15,625 = 250,000 cm^3
Now that we have the volume for all of the tubes, we can calculate the ACTUAL mass of all of the TNT in one minecraft block.
the density of TNT is 1.65 g/cm^3
1.65 x 250,000 = 412,500 grams of tnt.
565,963.2 tonnes = 565.9632 kilotonnes
All of the tnt in the pile is actually only about 566 kilotonnes.
For anyone who got this far, sorry if I gave you a headache.
so if i read all of that correctly, it means the video title still holds technically.. right?!

According to my calculations 50 Quadrillion(5¹³) of such "1.3m TNT explosions" (or 65 Sextillion TNT) (6.5¹⁹) would be enough to destroy our planet. And to destroy entire Minecraft world it would take 350 Quadrillion (3.5¹⁴) explosions (or 350 Sextillion TNT) (3.5²⁰)
