My 1,275 locator map End wall on bedrock used less than 100 mb storage and isn't laggy when loaded but wish i made it lower in the world as flying by above ground is like a lag wall. looks like 5000 maps lol Good luck! (inorganicx)
I cannot be more impressed with Wunba, he is among one the few Minecrafters to be doing incredible and mind blowing things. This just tops it off the amount of time it must've taken to place them down and gather all of the needed materials, seriously incredible job man.

I think it would be better if the border of the End map was made out of Crying Obsidian or Respawn Anchors, I believe they would make better contrast. I also think you shouldn't shy out on finding a good mod to help your PC handle this many maps. It may not be vanilla, but it's necessary for that area. Impressive job!

Not really because it's the files of the maps that corrupt the save, not the in game maps themselves
