I just made this and it was spectacular. I used salad shrimp, imitation crabmeat (I'm on a budget 😄), and freshly caught Mahi Mahi that I got from a friend. I just threw in some frozen mixed veg and some thinly sliced cabbage. I did add a splash of sesame oil and soy sauce (and a sprinkle of MSG - i can't resist it). I poached the egg yolks by putting one at a time into a ladle that I lowered into the soup while it was still almost boiling. The second one, I only dipped briefly and then just dropped it gently into my bowl. What a treat. I will be making some version of this recipe for the foreseeable future.
This is one of my favorite style of seafood soup. One of our local chinese buffets makes one very similar to this recipe. They add some small tofu cubes in theirs. Great upload TY
I made this today i used lobster balls and shrimp and followed your recipe It was easy and the results was Amazing. I was missing the one at my asian buffets being closed for the Pandemic Thank You for sharing this video & recipe
Mr. Fortune 🥠you are an awesome cook! love watching videos awesome personality awesome teaching you get a grade A+ for being just so awesome by making things simple and clear!👨🍳🍜🥄👍👍👍
thank you for teaching me this because my mom loves this soup so much but there's times that we can't even go to the Chinese food we're too busy always working and I will tell you one thing your voice sounds exactly like Jackie Chan so I don't know if that's a compliment for you
My seafood soup will be lacking scallops. Every since I watched the cooks on Hell's Kitchen clean/separate scallops from their shells, I felt queasy. I can't eat them after seeing them in their natural state. Same thing happened to me with my favorite fish - flounder. I used to eat founder all the time at a little place in Newport Kentucky then I watched a nature program and saw a flounder and it ruined it for me. LMAO, I am such a crazy crazy person. Love your soup though. xo
@@Nathecetran Last night I watched a cooking video where meat glue was used versus no meat glue - just cooking string. It was yukky. It was weird. It made me take a new look at processed meat - not in a good way! Horrible things are done to make "food"
You need to change ur title to trying to cook Chinese! That's a disgrace what you cooked and try label it Chinese cooking. I bet you live in the usa! That will explain alot. A 2min noodle pack would beat that dish!
Honestly..my first impression was 🤔 then 🤭.. it’s kinda of “throw inside anything” soup or fridge leftover ingredient soup. Have nothing to do with Chinese soup.. Lol!
I tried the recipe and it's delicious! I added tofu and it's even better. Thank you so much it's one of my favorite soups.
I like to it this soup in Sakura and Grill Buffet, now I can make it myself . Thank you !

Why didn’t I see you add any seafood? You only added vegetables
Are the ginger and garlic in powder form ?
no he pre chops them very fine, its a good idea, to have ginger and garlic pre prepped in a tub so its more convenient :)
Thank you for sharing with us your recipes....i'm always following you from Belgium😊
Thank you
i didnt see fish there🤔
where is sea food in soup
M. Khan scallops. You may add fishball squidball or crab meat
Guess so ..
terrible!! such waste of good sea food. sea food should be cooked whiten seconds/minutes, if over cooked is a disaster!

Hey, don't be rude. Make a video of how do you think should be done instead.
