The band is incredibly tight and hot and as always, Miles on top o all! Also, very well recorded and mixed. I like it the bass is well heard. Best stuff from 88,
Great upload thank you. Miles impeccable as ever he chose the cream to play with him outstanding rhythm section and i can believe there isn't a guitarist.
@@originalherbalist NP. Foley is a badass who played lead bass with Miles, drums with PFunk, and bass with Chris Dave and them. To say he is underrated is unfortunately an understatement.
When Miles hit his last note ..Pitts pa Stanley theatre bout 88-89 ...I'm thinking..we walked out of theatre to get to a local bar..onto to Penn Ave..n almost knocked Miles n Cicely Tyson down coming out of side entrance to the Stanley..he said . Well I'm glad u enjoyed the show young man..we excused ourselves for almost bowling them over..onto street where nice lincoln stretch waited for them..we did our homework ..someone said ..he doesn't do encores ..if we hadda waited ..never woulda have seen let alone conversed ..even so briefly ...Pitts pa Stanley theatre 88-89
Such events with Him are really one of very few reasons I'm dreaming about time machine... I would love to hear such Masterpiece live... probably a cliche but I don't care - my wife just gave me my very first vinyl to encourage me to start collecting some most important pieces and it was of course Kind of Blue... :) (but no turntable yet :))

Foley's piccolo bass playing is amazing.
Absolutely
This is some of the best mid/late 80s Miles stuff I've heard, live or studio. The band was hot!
Intro into things getting started here is epic, HOT
Not now
Keep it coming
More 1988-91 uploads please and thanks. Love this!

Foley was playing guitar on a bass...
@@rillloudmother thanks for that would never had guessed.

@@rillloudmother i was just referring to the sound, to my ears it sounded like an electric guitar i didn't know who Foley was until i watched this.
@@originalherbalisti understand, that is why i told you who Foley is...
the 83 and 88 bands were the best of his comeback bands..benny rietveld was great...

Miles did encores sometimes. I think a lot depended on his health. He had a lot of health problems.

I am not a fan of the car-crash and other gimmicky sounds, but electric Miles was hot otherwise.
