      Get yourself in food network. Yet call it Low Carb Upgrade or something because there are more people into Low Carb vs Keto which is a little more stricter carb net counts. It reaches a broader market. I’m doing keto now yet eventually will upgrade to low carb

      @@colorfulforesight I wish I could get on food network, lol. I feel like they don't have many cooking shows anymore. Which is why I kind of make my UA-cam videos more like a cooking show. I miss them, it's where I learned a lot of my cooking and baking terminology even before I went to school.

    I’m allergic to stevia… so all of the cake mixes are NOT ones that I would choose. I’m looking forward to making Your recipe, since I can modify your recipe and use liquid Monk Fruit rather than stevia! Thank you, Alicia, for sharing this test and your cake recipe. 💗

    Thank you for the cake test. I'm not a professional bake, I just like to bake here and there so its good know know what options we have in the keto world. I'd be hard for me to buy a keto cake box when we have great recipes like yours 🥰❤

    Great video and, as usual, very helpful content. So we can stick to keto, have our cake and eat it too 👌.

    Thanks so much, I bought the Duncan Hines mix a few days ago and I wanted to know the reviews before making for my birthday, I'm not Keto but am Gluten Free, normally I would make a homemade pound cake, but I wanted something different

      i liked it..its not as soft as regular cake and could use more flavor like vanilla etc but its a good base for adding things to id say..i want to try to make it a jello cake or add fruit to it etc..also bought some carbquik and going to try that :) im glad there is at least something to satisfy those sweet tooth cravings :)

    Walmart has the Isopure Whey Protein powder in the pharmacy section where other protein powders are found. It’s right around $20.00

      I've never seen it there. I check most times when I go. My walmart is a smaller one I think.

    It is good to know there are cake mixtures, yet at least with your recipes...you know what is in it. With the tapioca starch and chemical flavorings, never know what is it in and if it impacts the insulin. I don’t test my ketones, so I prefer clear recipes vs processed boxed stuff. Btw, what is your chocolate frosting recipes?

    • @KetoUpgrade
      @KetoUpgrade  3 роки тому +2

      I have one in the original lancaster sour milk cake video just a chocolate buttercream and in my chocolate cake video I made a whipped ganache frosting.

    Do you have a recipe for just keto flour combos that we can use for almost any cake recipe? I love that you don't use almond flour in many of your recipes. I'd love to try to make a few carb favorites low carb using your recipes

    • @KetoUpgrade
      @KetoUpgrade  Рік тому +1

      No I don't believe that works. What I would do is pick the recipe I have closest to what you want to convert and use the ingredients for that. That's mostly what I do now when I'm trying to figure out a new recipe.

      @@KetoUpgrade so glad you said this because that's what I did! I used your "apple" cake recipe and subbed a can of pineapple for the applesauce and added pecans. I was trying to make a Dr. bird cake for my brother's birthday that's coming up in a couple of weeks. I used half brown swerve and half allulose/monk fruit. It turned out really good! I think I will reduce the allulose and use more white erythritol because it browned very quickly and I think I cooked 5 minutes too long. The taste and texture were great though. Thanks so much!

    This is amazing video. Thanks! Question my nephew is allergic to nuts and seeds, what milk can we use as an alternative? Half and half or Heavy cream? Water it down a little ?

    • @KetoUpgrade

    Chicory root fiber/inulin is dirty keto? That is in my fav Truvia sweet complete:(
    Every few yrs ppl say something different about all this stuff.

    • @KetoUpgrade

      I mean most clean strict keto people don't eat packaged goods at all. Some people just don't like the added fiber and it can cause stomach upset.
