Awesome setup! Go change your smoke alarm batteries! You have a little one in the house! It made me go check all of mine haha

Great tutorial. I have been wanting to do one of these for some. I actually wanted to have a bunch of friends over to make these. Thanks for bringing us another unique idea with plants!

My mom went ape when she saw her pantyhose in the tank.

YOu know what else can be just as estheticallly appealing? Making some kind of food that looks like those moss balls. Seems you could easily make food look like that. Could be a chocolate lava ball with shredded mint on top or even a large meatball.

    New type. :D
I remember when I was a teen this was a new thing, but that was about 10years ago. Good to start things as they are new for us, with the Zen Buddhist's beginer mind.

I just use sphagnum moss and pumice stone inside. No soil.

H2O Plants Sphagnum only works better long term - they don’t disintegrate. I’ve had one going no problem for 18 months. The ones you get in Japan from ADA are similar to sphagnum and made from rice straw.

Very nice idea. Is there an alternative to the clay soil or is that the only method to this??

Very cool technique!! And you make it look super easy to start. Didn't that chirping alarm drive you nuts??

So cool to see someone do a video on this! If you started with tissue cultured plants would you still have to do it like this? 🤔

oh I could just picture a tank with duckweed on the surface and a wabi kusa that looks kind of like the grass of the wetlands sitting on top of a branch going down into the water, like a submerged tree stump that's been overgrown...

Excellent video and beautiful aquariums. I used to have one but then I didn't have space to keep it. Also I want to give a suggestion without any malice at all, as a guy's opinion, you should trim the beard. It really distracts from your personality because it is just disproportionate in size. Just make it shorter.
