Years ago I made a peanut butter filling for a friend. It was a recipe from a magazine that was just peanut butter, powdered sugar, and cream cheese whipped together in a mixer. It was softer and very delicious. Maybe try that?

Okay, so I followed this recipe yesterday. As you can tell from the video, it's pretty simple. Actually it tasted really good. I made cookies and cream. The only thing is that it took around 7-8 hours for it to freeze to a good consistency, so plan way ahead for this. It made about 63oz of ice cream, which is just under half a gallon.
Sounds like it should be done before bed so it will be freezing overnight then. Thanks for the tip, I was wondering how long to leave it in there and I haven’t tried making this yet. Any updates on improving it?
The best part of the creamed ice joke is that my mom, who's around 49% Norwegian confirmed that there is an actual Norwegian food which is basically cold berries covered in cream, so it basically does exist!
I made it, the recipe works fine and to my surprise it is scoup-able! Admittedly the condensed milk makes it very sweet (my small can was ~400g) so if you like your ice cream a bit less sweet I recommend lessening the amount condensed milk in the recipe. I am planning to try that out (also because I want to try the variations) and I think I wil try it with a 5/3 ratio instead of 5/4.
