Recipe
Put the things in the bowl and then the pan and then the oven and then bake them or remind me to write this out and I'll write it out okay thanks
Actual Recipe
Dry Ingredients
1 3/4 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Put them all in a bowl and wangjangle
Wet Ingredients in another bowl
Scramble 4 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil (add to the eggs next)
1 cup sugar (add to the oily eggs next)
1 tsp vanilla extract (add whenever tf you want)
2 cups finely shredded carrots (add to the wet stuff once it's all combined
Get your pan ready
Cut a parchment paper circle to put in the bottom of your pan. If you don't have a circular pan you can use whatever pan you have. Spray pesticide on the edges to prevent a bug infestation or you can use some form of grease, like butter
Combine wet and dry ingredients but don't over wangjangle, once it just comes together you're good.
Pour that gloop into your pan
Oh go back in time and preheat your undoh to 350
Bake the cake for 45 minutes and check it. Some recipes call for up to 90 minutes which just sounds crazy to me. But just cook it until a toothpick comes out without any cake guts sticking to it
Let it cool for ten to fifteen minutes before removing from the pan to cool completely
Frosting
½ brick 4oz 125ml softened cream cheese
1 cup icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
pinch salt
Electric wangjangle the cream cheese and slowly add the ice sugar, vanilla and salt until it's frosting.
Once the cake is cool you can put it on your record player and then spiralize outward until it looks professional and cool. If you're not committed to professionalism you can just do it right on your counter top. - Навчання та стиль

ORANGE ZEST - is an absolute banger in carrot cake. When people eat my carrot cake they're like wow, why this so lovely? You can even blitz up the orange and add it, too, and I've heard is like stops the cake having calories or something.
Raisins are also amazing. Make sure you toss them in flour first, you can even damp them before. This delays them sinking to the bottom of the mix like some rookie scuba diver. Don't flip the cake over if this happens because they'll get the bends.

1 3/4 cups of all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
4 eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
instructions:
- preheat oven to 350°F
- grate carrots
- in a large bowl add dry stuff together and mix
- in a different bowl mix the eggs, oil, sugar, vanilla extract, and grated carrot
- dump the wet stuff into the dry stuff and fold together, don’t over-mix
- trace the bottom of your cake pan to cut parchment paper into circle slightly smaller than it
- put the parchment paper in your pan and spray with nonstick cooking spray
- pour the batter into the pan and bake in oven for 45 mins or until a toothpick comes out clean when you poke it in
- let rest for 10-15 mins then get it out of the pan onto a wire rack (the editing is confusing there but i’ll just trust his words i guess)
for the frosting:
1/2 brick (4oz/125g) of room temp cream cheese
1 cup icing sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
pinch of salt
- in yet another bowl, beat the cream cheese with electric mixer until fluffy (or a spatula and your arms if you really want to)
- add the icing sugar a little at a time while mixing
- add vanilla
apply the frosting however you desire (after cake is completely cooled) and enjoy :)

You use baking powder and baking soda because there's enough acid in the cake to activate some of the baking soda required to leven the cake but not enough for all of it so some of the baking soda is added through baking powder which contains the remaining required acid :)
Also as mentioned in another comment double action baking powder has a second activation at a higher temperature giving a secondary rise which improves texture
Why not just use baking powder then?
@@felixschenderlein6223 Well using some amount of baking soda will neutralise some of the acid in your ingredients which might be desirable sometimes. But some people do argue that you may as well just use entirely baking powder for it's double action properties.
Interestingly, profesional enviroments use single action baking powder since they can control the mixing procedure better they don't need the double action affect since a big advantage of it is that you can lose some of the initial rise as the baking sad reacts as youu're mixing
I've been on this ball of dirt many decades and not heard of double action baking soda. Reading up a bit it sounds heavenly for dessert baking. Does it make a huge, noticeable difference in cakes and such?
@@dalpz205 It mostly means that you don't risk all of the reaction ahppening while you're mixing the ingredients, it's makes it more 'foolproof'. Chances are you've used double action baking poweder because most baking powder sold in the shops is just aht. Single action baking powder is mostly only used in profesional enviroments where they have a lot of fine control over thier baking process
