I got to be honest, the part where you're mowing down the unarmed civilians at the airport was difficult. It's the gratuitous nature of the set-up - if the plan is for (you) the CIA to be their in order to help the US put pay to the threat of the bad guy and you have infiltrated his organization sufficiently to actually be in the same room with the man - you's end him there and then. The previous game establishes the British think nothing of carrying out wet-work so for the player to be forced to be complicit in the atrocity - makes no sense. Not even the CIA is this dumb. That being said, difficult though it was - I found what helped me was to keep repeating "We will leave the EU on October 31st with our without a deal" over and over. Said with enough conviction, man - that made the head popping sweet.
I am at a loss as to why everyone hates this game. I love it. MW1 was better, but I honestly can't find anything to complain about. Multiplayer's great, though they went a little overboard on the killstreaks. Campaign's fantastic, albeit somewhat short. It has everything that everyone loved about MW1
Great memories of playing this game. This was one of my favorite CoD games regardless of what anyone else says. I loved the feeling of being invaded by the Russians in a modern day setting. It was such an emotional experience and a lot of it was due to Hans Zimmer's outstanding soundtrack. My favorite moments were definitely the level where you saw the white house being invaded. Also the level with the Russians raining down on American soil with parachutes.
@sk8erdude180x2 Okay thanks. Its just that im deciding on what console to get and to see how multiplatform games like COD are on PS3 compared to 360. Any suggestion on what to get???
is there any unlocked game modes, like call of duty 5 had? Nazi zombies for example? I heard rumors that their were Alien Terrorists or some type of extra gameplay
Thats the reason I don't like playing online for Call of Duty games. When it comes to gameplay, the controls are a little too so there's really nothing to improve on. I'm looking forward to the campaign though. Can someone please explain to me what spec-op is?
I don't know why. It's pretty much COD 4, just with more variety in the levels. I mean there are hardly any differences between the two yet many fans love the first but hate the second, I blame it on nostalgia. While I may not be a COD fan anymore I have to admit that the first two modern warfare games were undeniably awesome.
Hey mark, you can skip the airport scene I know you technically didn't say this, but its more or less "I don't like the scene where we kill civillians" says the guy who runs over everyone, causes massive chaos in Liberty City xD
hey a question whats the music that starts at the beggining when the words classic game room appear with the red back.??, jaja ileked please tell me whats the song, send me a message or answer here pleas tell me
"But what I don't think is necessarily true is that the graphics itself is something that's going to make the gameplay experience better. So we're still going to focus on the gameplay, but we'll take advantage of the technology as it comes out." Shigeru Miyamoto, 2009
I honestly do miss the days of the old school shooters where you had health packs and all the guns have a different feel and handling towards them. Nowadays it seems as if variety in guns don't really matter because every enemy will die in 2 bullets anyways. So what's the point in adding a variety of weapons that don't differentiate the experience. For those who miss the gameplay of old school shooters, I strongly recommend the Resistance franchise and Halo Reach.
Honestly, i used to be a COD hater, but i actually really liked MW2. What i didnt like, what the story. It was just terrible, and the set pieces get old after a while. Also, multiplayer has that run and gun feel, which depending on the players, can get annoying. The spec ops is great fun though! Overall, solid 8/10
Can somebody tell me if this game is highly played on the xbox360 or on the pc? Just want to know, I'm buying an xbox and i think i might get this. But I'm afraid that it wont a lot of people online on the platform I want. Please help. thanks.
I remember games like Age of empires.. Played it a lot when i was young, and still playing it! if games today was like Age of empires and the old games... damn.. good times!
people either love or hate this game i personally love it because it continues the story of the first mw and it has a pretty cool story line but thats just from my point of view
If your into shooters yes this blows battlefield and team fortress out of the water the replay value is infinite the multiplayer is very deep and engaging and just makes you want to play more and more on top of that I had two days off work and beat assassin's creed 2 in that time but it is a really really good game
i love cod4, the online play is better than mw2 imo but this game is still great. it has to be great cuz its the only game millions of people can complain about but still go back to playing it
This is better than MW3 by a long shot. I'm gonna buy another copy for future playing, in about 10 years. Hopefully there will be people that are playing Team Deathmatch
I hope we get a WW1 cod. Imagine how Intense that could be! Its not what people think, there were plenty of guns like repeaters, smg, bolt actions, shotgun, revolver, luger, Lewis gun. There were many other tactics than over the top, such as urban combat, night patrols. I honestly bored with shooting terrorists lol lets change the time line!
I think the scene at the airport was unnecessary - and yet it is what makes the game very special(in a burtal kind of way but still...). And it will always be memorized and remembered for that scene.... and hans zimmer.
Harrowing - not least due to the utterly nonsensical nature of the scenario - the Airport Massacre was as many relay. What I found helped me get through it was to repeat (over and over) "Britain will leave the EU on October 31st, with or without a deal". I don't know why but, muttered with enough conviction, that made the head-popping.... kindda sweet, if I'm honest.
The airport part was one of the most enteratining levels in the game, i think if people who are playing it have a problem with it, then thats why the skip option is there... i enjoyed it, i thought it brought a reality to the game
remember when they ask you; "there is a scene in the game that may be offensive to certain viewers. would you like to skip it?" when u start the game? your supposed to say yes to that so you dont play that level your talking about.
Gotta agree with the man on this one, in that No Russian and the dogs were the only things I didn't like about the campaign. I won't get all righteous about the No Russian level or anything, but I just don't feel the need to play it ever again.
Lot of things this guy says is true. The game was beautifully executed, right down to the soundtrack. Heck, my only real complaints lay with the infamous noob tube. MW3, on the other hand....
I was strictly speaking campaign. I had barely played COD multiplayer until MW2 and even then it was almost always offline split-screen. As far as multiplayer is concerned I think BO was and is the best COD simply because it was semi-balanced, something lacking from the rest.In any case I think we can all agree that the recent COD games are garbage and with the whole industry trying to be military shooters us consumers could do better than COD.
I wouldn't go that far, the story was alright and the core gameplay was polished. They also added a rather fun survival mode and retained the Spec Ops from MW2. Still nothing compared to good shooters, but okay.
Thanks, you reminded me MW2 isn't that bad and I hated it for no reason. It's the annoying kids in the multilayer that pissed me off. (the cheap tactics don't help either)
"It's like Fallout 3 except not grey." No, it's all orange instead. "If you ever wanted to play a Red Dawn game, now's your chance." As far as the Red-Dawn-O-meter goes, Homefront did that much better.
I like mw3 alot, but this is a better game. The campaign was more grounded, more realistic (as realistic as CoD can be at least), and more epic. Mw3 just seemsed like a strange explosion montage. As for the multiplayer, id say there equal.
If you even strafe one of the Civilians its Game Over for you - meaning you CAN shoot at things but if you even touch one Civilian you get a mesage that you aren't allowed to shoot Civilians, meaning that the Aiport Mission is pretty redundantly and I actually got myself killed a few times till the point I realized I am allowed to shoot stuff. -.-
the american missions feel like a michael bay movie, and the task force 141 missions feel like the expendables movies. it's a nice mix.
that's what I thought.I liked it.
don't forget to check the release date guys this video has historical value
Why does Mark not approve of the airport scene where you shoot civilians, when he murders hundreds of them in Grand Theft Auto? :D
different feel to it?
I got to be honest, the part where you're mowing down the unarmed civilians at the airport was difficult. It's the gratuitous nature of the set-up - if the plan is for (you) the CIA to be their in order to help the US put pay to the threat of the bad guy and you have infiltrated his organization sufficiently to actually be in the same room with the man - you's end him there and then. Here lies the most nostalgic game review of all time
Mark is fine with murdering tons of other humans, but doesn't like killing a dog? Hey, what the hell. Its Mark. I don't care
You know you're doing more harm killing a dog or any animal for that matterr than killing a human right?
3:22 'and adopts the self checkout system!' Man that is funny. This review is awesome cos it is like funny, yet serious. Great work man =)
Your reviews are professional quality. Keep it up.
I thoroughly enjoyed the multiplayer and it had the best campaign. I think this game had the best reloading animations ive seen in a game
This guy is the best reviewer ever and he's real funny
Just bought it yesterday at Gamestop used for $3. I waited 8 years to get it at that fantastic price.
Got it for $1
@Anacondas101 there are still quite a few people playing mw2, what console are you playing on?
Great memories of playing this game. This was one of my favorite CoD games regardless of what anyone else says. I loved the feeling of being invaded by the Russians in a modern day setting. It was such an emotional experience and a lot of it was due to Hans Zimmer's outstanding soundtrack.

I'm looking forward to the campaign though.

I got this game yesterday ! This game its so well done !! Great grafics ! Great everything!!
If you dont have it go get it !!!

@vidman293 ps3 for campaign mode but xbox for online gameplay how do i know cause i own both systems and games :D
Hey mark, you can skip the airport scene

"But what I don't think is necessarily true is that the graphics itself is something that's going to make the gameplay experience better. So we're still going to focus on the gameplay, but we'll take advantage of the technology as it comes out."
Shigeru Miyamoto, 2009
@lamborgboy how is Mw2 better than zelda...im just curious
Newbpwn3r180 this comment really hasn’t aged well 😂
"that's for putting pickles on my cheese burger!"....i know how you feel!
you make the best reviews anybody can possibly watch:) lol
I honestly do miss the days of the old school shooters where you had health packs and all the guns have a different feel and handling towards them. This was the first cod i ever played, and i still love it to this day :D

Honestly, i used to be a COD hater, but i actually really liked MW2.

i own all the consels great review i subed along time ago great game
@TheCoryjacob Are you defending Fallout or Call of Duty?
Ramirez! Shoot that sign! Your reviews are so enthusiastic and funny. =)
will i have enough space for this game? i have a xbox 360 4gb
the EMP in the sky (the giant exploding orange ball) looks freaking awesome
You have to send and receive invite through the console's messaging system which can be very irritating.
cod mwf 2 the master of 1st person shooters ive got it and cant stop play it the museum level is the best ever
I remember games like Age of empires.. Played it a lot when i was young, and still playing it! if games today was like Age of empires and the old games... damn.. good times!
im trying to like call of duty again but it says call of duty mw2 is 11gb when im downloading it on steam
this misson reminds me of the beginning of world in conflict, which was also a amazing game
people either love or hate this game i personally love it because it continues the story of the first mw and it has a pretty cool story line but thats just from my point of view

The cod campaigns are getting better and better each year
i love cod4, the online play is better than mw2 imo but this game is still great. it has to be great cuz its the only game millions of people can complain about but still go back to playing it
What is better one, like 360 or PS3??
im thinking about getting this i have not played modern warfare 1 or this i dont know what to get
The level "On Their Own Accord" was Killzone 2 exactly. I'm not a PS3 elitist either. I love my PS3 and my 360 equally.
the movie you are talking about in the beginning is Red Dawn
@WiiNetwork2, you know what else they should port it to? Vectrex.
@TheCoryjacob which one do u like better.
Mark can you do a review over cod black ops?
This is better than MW3 by a long shot. I'm gonna buy another copy for future playing, in about 10 years. Hopefully there will be people that are playing Team Deathmatch
I hope we get a WW1 cod. Imagine how Intense that could be! Its not what people think, there were plenty of guns like repeaters, smg, bolt actions, shotgun, revolver, luger, Lewis gun. There were many other tactics than over the top, such as urban combat, night patrols. I honestly bored with shooting terrorists lol lets change the time line!
this game was better than most movies of the same genre!
The suburb mission when you first fight the Russians is called "Wolverines!", an obvious reference to Red Dawn.
I think the scene at the airport was unnecessary - and yet it is what makes the game very special(in a burtal kind of way but still...). And it will always be memorized and remembered for that scene.... and hans zimmer.
Well I do agree with you on that GTA 4 and Forza 3 were the best bang for your buck.
holy crap!!. how did you get 1260 rounds at 4:46
Harrowing - not least due to the utterly nonsensical nature of the scenario - the Airport Massacre was as many relay. What I found helped me get through it was to repeat (over and over) "Britain will leave the EU on October 31st, with or without a deal". I don't know why but, muttered with enough conviction, that made the head-popping.... kindda sweet, if I'm honest.
note: this video is discussing mw2's campaign, this is the only positive feature of the game, the multiplayer was disgustingly bad
@SONGOKU02 hum...ok! Lol my Mw2 clan tag is GOKU, funny shiet hein?
Man this looks awesome!
This was probably the last Call of Duty campaign that I thoroughly enjoyed. It's too bad the multiplayer was so unbalanced.
awesome video i subscribed
My cousin has this game I'm gonna play it when I visit him I really want it!
omg the airport scene was sooooo fun!!
Call of Duty 4 has a better online in my opinion, Modern Warfare 2 is still really good it just has a lot of bugs and glitches.
So World At War is he best right?
The airport part was one of the most enteratining levels in the game, i think if people who are playing it have a problem with it, then thats why the skip option is there... i enjoyed it, i thought it brought a reality to the game
@Anoush13 so im right
the intensity of war it's just insane,so realistic.I hear the Modern Warfare 3 ,the story it's gonna be in Cold War.
@Choppr777 but what about The Ham Sandwich Unicorns for the ds that was a good game
is it better than the 1st CoD MW?
The movie you're thinking of is Red Dawn and they shouted "Wolverines!" Not Ground Hogs
remember when they ask you; "there is a scene in the game that may be offensive to certain viewers. would you like to skip it?" when u start the game? your supposed to say yes to that so you dont play that level your talking about.
Gotta agree with the man on this one, in that No Russian and the dogs were the only things I didn't like about the campaign.
I won't get all righteous about the No Russian level or anything, but I just don't feel the need to play it ever again.
Is this game for Sega Genesis?
Well, there were bugs a few weeks ago, but Infinity Ward fixed them. Probably the reason it was so low was because of after Christmas shopping sales.
1:44
smiley face fail heh
good review
Lot of things this guy says is true.
The game was beautifully executed, right down to the soundtrack.
Heck, my only real complaints lay with the infamous noob tube.
MW3, on the other hand....

No, it's all orange instead.
"If you ever wanted to play a Red Dawn game, now's your chance."

anyone know the song that starts at3 seconds?
I like mw3 alot, but this is a better game. The campaign was more grounded, more realistic (as realistic as CoD can be at least), and more epic. Mw3 just seemsed like a strange explosion montage. As for the multiplayer, id say there equal.
I like his reviews better than ign, gamespot etc. his views aren't bias.
Mark where are you reviews like this now your my fav reviewer but you dont do as many game reveiws now
@spiderman510925 I was just mentioning the weapons altogether. I haven't touched Black Ops since the day it released mainly because of its weapons.
I loved this game all around. Mw2 forever! :)
@jackpwnage117 yeh but they would also have to change the level design by heaps
oh true, sorry. My friend said that the newest was 5890, I think he meant that was the newest one thus far, released or unreleased.
