Might I just say that Mark is my favorite reviewer on the web. He keeps it funny, he tells the good parts and jokes with the bad parts. He even uses funny console references like the Sega 32x. You gotta love this guy with his humorous ways
You're hands down the greatest game reviewer to ever walk earth. Hearing you talk about the best games is just as amazing as watching your reviews of the bad ones. Please keep it up. I go to your channel for all my reviewing needs. Your videos are clever, entertaining, eloquent, and always hilarious. But they're also honest and unbiased, unlike those asshats at Gamespot and IGN. Please, keep it up. - a faithful subscriber
@xboxed720 so you played it? or is it just the usual assumption towards wii games? i also played black ops and modern warfare on the wii, and enjoyed both of them (and yes, i *could* have played them on pc or ps3 if i wanted to but i like the controls on the wii better (more direct than thumbstick-based controlling).
well i playied a lot of battlefield but i have to say that the campaign does look like fun,and the co-op looks promising might pick this up,or should i pick up MW2?
I don't have the close combat pack either. But people playing are playing on the "normal" maps with that rifle as well. I am not sure of the name though. But i encountered the all might powerful USAS again yesterday. That weapon is too overpowered as well. Then there is the HAMMER with the flachette rounds, also overpowered. My little brother haven't had any problems connecting to a game. Could it be because you haven't chosen which regions you want to connect to?
@LenoStarBucks revamped is in new maps, new weapons, new game modes, new perks, new attachments, new equipment, new gameplay (as in strike packages, weapon proficiency). In a DLC all you see is 10 new maps and 5 new guns. In MW3 you see 16 new maps 50 new guns (only about 3 guns stayed EXACTLY the same, all others were modified and new ones were added) this is at least 600% more than what a DLC offers
I am going to say this once and once only: Mark can like whatever game he wants, even if many of you hate it. COD is not a bad series, and it's fun, and what makes you say it sucks is the fact you keep on buying it every year and constantly playing it. You play it in moderation, and you won't feel like this. This is why I am trying to stop hating the series, because what may not have changed for years doesn't affect every consumer's opinion. If it's your first COD, you will probably like it more
I really enjoyed the campaign for this game, as well as the spec ops. They really nailed down that WW3 feeling where every country was in desperation for survival. Although I have to say that this game has some of the worst multiplayer maps I've every played in an FPS. And I'm actually really good at this game. So no, I'm not saying this because I get owned online. The maps have a terrible layouts with uninspired level design. Honestly, the only good map was Hardhat.
I actually had a decent amount of fun playing this game. Idk why people keep hating on CoD because it's popular. The campaign is cool and explosive, like the Expendables without the cool actors, and the multiplayer and co-op modes are fun for a time. Worth full price? Nope. Good buy after a significant price drop? Absolutely.
This game is fantastic, I finally got it yesterday and I cant stop playing. I have played through the main campaign twice, for me that says alot about a game
That is up to you. Do you want a game where you run and gun people down with a lot of action around you? Go for Modern Warfare 3. Do you want a game where you have to play strategically and work in teams? (Most of the times all teams are actually just ffa. Which means they don't work in a team as they should) then choose Battlefield 3. It is all up to you. Both games have their cons and pros.
Mark never makes a negative comments to his reviews he always review the best, good, and fun parts of the game and not a silly professional reviews who fucked up the game by negative comments and low scores.. your definitely new here
@DBZisthebestanimever That wasn't what I meant. The quantity of things you find in a DLC doesn't matter because they are all made based on an already existing game. That's what MW3 does, its almost exactly the same as MWe, only with new maps and toys (guns, ks), that's what you can find in a DLC pack (sure, maybe not that much, but it's still a not much 60 bucks).
@MyDreamCrusher I've made my point, you're claim about beating it in 3.5 hours is just not possible. and no it's not the same as MW2 i've pointed out at least 100 new major things in the game. I've been a long time shooter player since 1999 (the first UT) and I'm not going to discuss skillset in here
That part from 4 to 6 minutes when the music was the only thing playing. That was Mark sparing us from having to listen to the countless whiny voiced 10 year olds screaming into their mics.
@CaptainLumpyDog & @Lopez4848 It's not "My Bonny Lies Over the Ocean". It's a Christmas tune called "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear". There's also a snippet at the end of a song called "The First Noel", also a Christmas tune. Season appropriate given the date the video was posted.
If you can have fun with a game it doesn't matter how "good" it is, check out EDF its quiet grand. MW1,2,3 are all quite good too, well made, sure little change but its still fun none the less.I myself am not a big CoD fan but i dont mind playing them when im hanging out with friends
I really do like the spec ops survival, although it doesn't live up to zombies for me. The four special matches in Black ops were fantastic as well. There is a sniper rifle from the close combat pack which is too op at the moment. It has a pretty high rate of fire and good damage. The flashlight and mortar has been fixed though. Well, my little brother haven't had any lag as yet. True, it is easy to find a match in BF3 (if using browser), but it takes time to connect.
The campaign of all Modern Warfare games are epic. As far as multiplayer is concerned, everyone has their own opinions. Personally I enjoy the campaign and the Spec Op missions. But I also play multiplayer sometimes, and it's no different than any FPS game. People "camp" or become really cheap in MP, but frankly I've NEVER seen a FPS game that "bans" or prevents camping in MP games. I don't get why people bash on a multi-million dollar franchise on lame social matchmaking. MW3 is worth the buy.
A game that is 'cool' to hate on the internet. In reality this is actually a very solid shooter that is maybe a little too popular but whatever, it's fun.
Everyone who played 1 and 2 seem to hate it. I only just got a PS3 so I didn't but all my friends who've had new consoles for ages have and didn't feel 3 was anything more than a repackaged version of MW2 or so they tell me. They also all went over to Battlefield but just bought Black Ops 2 so I'm not sure whether they make any sense.
no comments in a year o_O
Might I just say that Mark is my favorite reviewer on the web. He keeps it funny, he tells the good parts and jokes with the bad parts. He even uses funny console references like the Sega 32x.
You gotta love this guy with his humorous ways
Hey Mark come on brah why you gotta make fun of us 32X geeks? Virtua Fighter in 1995 was awesome brah! AWESOME BRAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mark is the king of the inappropriate music with excessive carnage montage
This game will make Michael Bay blush.
And me. I love MW3.
For a millisecond

The best cod game ever
You mean the easiest
It's people like you who I respect, because you play other games and don't just call yourself a gamer just because you are skilled at CoD.
I always love watching the reviews on this channel
hey, have u reviewed Bully yet? or both Manhunt? or both Max Payne?
@Costerguy1234556 I have yet to play either and my standards are pretty low for FPS games so I probably wouldn't notice. What was different?
well i playied a lot of battlefield but i have to say
that the campaign does look like fun,and the co-op looks promising
might pick this up,or should i pick up MW2?
@Nyuugen MW3 or most Castlevania games?
@DBZisthebestanimever Revamped multiplayer as in new maps and new toys? Hows that different from what you see in a DLC?
Cool review sir. I'll keep this in mind if I want another multiplayer arena shooter, until then back to BF3 for squad based tactical FPS gameplay.

Thanks for letting me play MW3 with you, Mark! Have a great Christmahanakwanzaka, from OUTATIME88MPH.
Any news on the Atari 2600 release?
thanks dude, does it work online?
Ah Mark your refreshing unbiased reviews brighten my day. Thank you

Why is the video interlaced?

Mark is the only reviewer that would make me almost want to get this game, such are his powers.
@rjbonacolta Zelda, Mario, and Metroid are the same ones, things change, but in the end the same story plays out.
@EkajTheSwordsman How many other games have you played this year besides Call of Duty?
I really enjoyed the campaign for this game, as well as the spec ops. They really nailed down that WW3 feeling where every country was in desperation for survival. I WAS JUST STARTING LAYTON AND THE LAST SPECTER AND DECIDED TO WATCH UR VIDEO FIRST! OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
good video as always and merry christmas mark!
Props for giving some attention to the Survival mode. Seems like most haters forget the mode exists.
So when does the review start?
You make the BEST reviews!! Thanks!!
WHY would someone dislike this> he did a good review at it!
My bonnie flies over the ocean? You guys never fail to crack me up!
mark can make me play almost everything. thank you dude.
I could watch these reviews all day !!!!!!!!!:)
Wow, Dang it Mark! You made me want another game for Christmas that I hadn't asked for!
is this game on colecovison?
What's the song that begins at 3:58?
@DBZisthebestanimever Try 3-4 hours (on vet). Btw, how can spec ops take you 15 hours when each mission takes 5 minutes?
man, what took u so long mark? n where's bf3 review? what about batman games? n assasin's creed? I know u mostly review clasdic games, but, pls!
when was the last time we had an FPS using health packs?
I love CGR for all the retro references, lol MW3 would be great on 32X :)
Let me know when they port MW3 to the SNES, Contra-style.
That is up to you.
Do you want a game where you run and gun people down with a lot of action around you? Go for Modern Warfare 3.
Do you want a game where you have to play strategically and work in teams? (Most of the times all teams are actually just ffa. Which means they don't work in a team as they should) then choose Battlefield 3.

are you going to review quake live some day? ^.^
Mark never makes a negative comments to his reviews he always review the best, good, and fun parts of the game and not a silly professional reviews who fucked up the game by negative comments and low scores.. your definitely new here
@iTectrix what about world at war?
I remember when call of duty campaigns lasted more than 4 hours. For quite a while, they've only existed to have stuff to put in trailers.
It was fun playing with ya Mark.
Now that they have concluded the trilogy, does that mean we will get a new CoD, with a new game engine and a campaign longer than 4 hours?
@ifarah12 New weapons, items, level design and enemies? Then... they are literally the same.
Which is better, this or black ops 1?
@MyDreamCrusher I've made my point, you're claim about beating it in 3.5 hours is just not possible. and no it's not the same as MW2 i've pointed out at least 100 new major things in the game. this entire review mark is talking about games he likes and every once in a while doing a bit of reviewing of the game
Stop disliking the video only cause u don't like call of duty, Mark is awesome
@Nyuugen I have played all. 50-60% are weird or bad. Why are you even comparing the two?
Black Ops. Story, Graphics, Weapons, Setpieces.
That part from 4 to 6 minutes when the music was the only thing playing. That was Mark sparing us from having to listen to the countless whiny voiced 10 year olds screaming into their mics.
Guys stop hating, it's mark's opinion. You don't have to agree with him just be mature and respectful.
This game review is making me think of that 1999 game for the PC called, Outcast...I think am going to get it and play it (idk why).
I respect this guy. He doesn't bash this game just because it's Call of Duty. This bandwagon effect against Call of Duty is getting a little annoying.
best review for a cod game PERIOD... CGR ROCKS
@LiVeBiGFaN have u played it?
MW3 is also out on the Wii, not just PS360. Nobody ever mentions the Wii ;___;
awwwww man, i love your reviews!
@iTectrix They made an ace Star Wars mod for COD 4 where you play as stormtroopers with laser rifles on classic Star Wars multiplayer maps.
I have this for the Wii, the Wii version is actually pretty impressive and its an Underrated version.
Are you going to review Battlefield 3?
@halo6534 new campaign totally refined multiplayer survival mode new weapons cod elite updated graphics special effects what's not new?
merry Christmas CGR!
This guy starts to sound like Flanders, he likes everything!
No Battlefield 3 review Mark? I am dissapoint. I mean I already have it and love it but it still would have been nice to see it on your channel.
@CaptainLumpyDog & @Lopez4848
It's not "My Bonny Lies Over the Ocean". It's a Christmas tune called "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear". There's also a snippet at the end of a song called "The First Noel", also a Christmas tune. Season appropriate given the date the video was posted.
Merry christmas mark an cant wait for a whole new year of game reviews in 2012! woo hoo!
If you can have fun with a game it doesn't matter how "good" it is, check out EDF its quiet grand. MW1,2,3 are all quite good too, well made, sure little change but its still fun none the less.I myself am not a big CoD fan but i dont mind playing them when im hanging out with friends
@iTectrix medievil that sounds extreamly intresttting setting for cod i agree. and a space one to lol
Gettin a PS3 tomorrow morning possibly, and on it im gettin BF3 and MW3!!!! WOO HOO!
I really do like the spec ops survival, although it doesn't live up to zombies for me. The four special matches in Black ops were fantastic as well.

ever played the classics? CoD 1-3 and WaW and CoD 2 Big Red One?

@ajw34307 you're new in Mark's videos, right?
Mark I know you don't normally do this but using MAME review NINJA BASEBALL BATMAN you'll love it.
A game that is 'cool' to hate on the internet. In reality this is actually a very solid shooter that is maybe a little too popular but whatever, it's fun.
Since when did CGR used classy music... ?
you need to review "Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone" !
I got it for Christmas. Played survival with my bro and then played nhl 10.
Explosive campaing. Frenetic multiplayer. Very fun to play with friends. Very few inovations. I give a 7.5
The day that multiplayer modes take over a good story, characters, and twist, will be the end of the gaming world as we know it.
@leanlifter1 play cod4 and mw3 simultaneously and see if you don't change your mind
Nice review Like always!
Gary from Scotland? Are you sure it's not his latency that was 5000?
@Lopez4848
It's a rendition of the Scottish folk tune, 'My Bonny Lies Over the Ocean.'
Don't know who's performing, however.
Not to mention 90% of the time you're just sitting in a camp cursing the lack of food, as well as the only food that is there.
Now i come to think about it, there are actually also "tryhards" in battlefield.
The jeep/c4 killers, the jet jumpers and so on.
