I like the sound and build quality. Clamping force isnt too bad and the mic sounds pretty good. However my pair had crackling on the cushion and the top of the band. Its just flaking off but other then that, it still works very well.
I’ve had my pair for 5 years, they are phenomenally durable down to the cable, I’ve dropped mine, rolled over them with my chair, stepped, sat on and they’re still in working condition
One factor to consider is there's not much point using HD800s at home only to have to use earbuds at LAN You dont want to build dependency on razor sharp imaging and wide accurate soundstage only to have it removed when you really need it
I think that’s a horrible point. Pros can just practice for a week to a month with whatever they use at the LAN to get used to that sound stage, there’s literally no point in limiting your home setup permanently just because of some equipment they use at a LAN every now and then
I still run the original HyperX Cloud, bought 2017. Switched ear cups meanwhile, the head band is getting rashy but they go like a frigging juggernaut. Indestructable and still awesome sound and voice.
I especially recommend for these for the little brother or cousin in your life. These sound mediocre in a good way but are extremely durable and the USB hub has no BS controls or features.
I had the Cloud's then the Cloud Alpha's for a long time before I switched to Beyerdynamic DT770's about a year ago. I'm not sure I could ever go back, the DT770 is basically just a better version of the HyperX headphones in every way, which makes sense, since they are based on a clone of the DT770's. I will say the Cloud line is good for the money, but after experiencing something better, I would always suggest saving up for something like a DT770. Way more comfortable too, I always had to replace the pads on the Clouds with aftermarket pads cause they are so shallow that my ears constantly touched the drivers.
There is also a Hyper X Cloud Alpha S, which I guess is really similar. It actually has a detachable cable and has been holding up pretty well for the last 3 years.
I have owned Cloud Alpha since release, and always been wondering if Cloud 2 or Blackshark v2 is better. I am just talking about directional audio for competitive fps games.
It's ridiculous that this headset has better microphone than those you found on much more expensive Logitech G Pro X wireless headsets - including the new one - shame on you, Logitech
Yo i got a similar experience First off, once you get an open back, this Headset sounds like ASS. I started using the Tygr 300Rs, and switching to the Cloud 2's really is ass. But before that i used to play 2 years or something on the Cloud 2s (wired AND wireless) What can I say? It was kinda good for spacial awareness, and that the TYGR 300R's were hardly a strict upgrade in terms of gaming. However, for streaming, I do think there needs to be a point made that Open back headphone+good mic is just so stinking good. Being able to hear your voice crystal clear with an open back AND have a good mic quality is unbeatable for Quality of the stream. But when you're gaming on your own? As said, the Cloud2s are god damn amazing!! Greetings, Someone like you (but spent less on Headphones :P)
HyperX Cloud 2s + EQ = budget DT 770s with a slightly smaller soundstage. I was able to snag the Cloud 2 Wireless for $50 brand new and I pretty much use them as my "fun" headphones for gaming and some movies if I'm not feeling my HD 560S.
I used these for years playing on xbox and then on PC. Had the wire come loose from the solder. But literally just resoldered it and they worked like brand new. Bought the tygr 300r so using those and iems now. But always recommend this brand to people looking for a cheap headset you can pick up at your local store
The comfort is insane. I’ve tried so many headsets but keep coming back to these. They sound pretty good. Not amazing or audiophile quality but solid 7.5/10 The comfort and durability makes them. Also they’re inexpensive.
Hyperx is ok in street fighter esports was using it and then victrix came out those are way better imo , lobe my victrix pro headset specially if you wear glasses it's comfortable and sounds amazing
Hell nah. The build quality of the Blackshark lineup is terrible. The cable starts breaking after a while, the volume knob causes an imbalance in the two ears, and the metal starts rusting. In terms of sound quality, they're decent but only after you EQ them.
@@kamehameha38 bs, their build quality is better than any other gaming headset by far, they are also very comfortable, have good sound tuning for games (spacial sound etc) and a good microphone
@@riba2233 Bruh, I've owned the Blackshark V2 X for upto 2 years now and I'm telling my experience. Your cable is going to start breaking anytime soon because it's not braided. The black metal is gonna start rusting also.
They're durable, but the rubber coating is a nightmare if you live in hot, tropical countries.
That’s good to know. Thanks for sharing your experience
Finally someone said it
anything with a rubber coating gets obliterated in hot tropical countries, the rubber coating on my sennheiser is pretty much gone
Music is too loud on this video, it's hard to hear you.
hyper x is one of the comfiest headset that I have used wish I have one currenrly lol but I highly recommend hyper x headsets

I had these for 4 years and they are still incredible
It's just a _great_ product.
Not the best, but far from the worst.
Hard to come by a product like that honestly.

most lans either have specific headsets or they use earbuds and ear mufflers.

What can I use if I am trying to sound like Barry White in the studio? 😁

Are you doing a review for cloud III?
Epos Gsp300 all day long for the price or even the epos Gamezero as it's 77 dollars on Amazon. £55 on Amazon UK crazy price for what you get.
Weird question but are you using a sony cam? If so which picture profile so you use? Hlg?
Astro a40s or those is all i ever used
Because it’s cheap and good
So, nothing beats it with 70$
CLoud 2 wireless is literally the cloud 2 but wireless, it got a shitty mic but came along with great build quality and sound quality.
The cloud 3 wireless are legit
I have owned Cloud Alpha since release, and always been wondering if Cloud 2 or Blackshark v2 is better. I am just talking about directional audio for competitive fps games.
The HyperX are great. BUT i would the BeyerDynamic DT770s are my all time fav. i can hear every movement enemies make

Had my first pair of cloud 2s for 6 years. I've been on the alphas for about 2ish years now.
They are far from "indestructible" I know first hand that the cable connection can go bad, and all pleather will crack and peel eventually.
I used these for years playing on xbox and then on PC. Had the wire come loose from the solder. But literally just resoldered it and they worked like brand new. Ive tried these before in the past and the sound was just way too "tinny" for me
non detachable cable aside the only thing that sucks about this headset is the mic
comfort and battery life and it sounds great too, what more do you really need
pretty sure most pros on stage are using iems?
ok how much did they pay you😂
Hyperx is ok in street fighter esports was using it and then victrix came out those are way better imo , lobe my victrix pro headset specially if you wear glasses it's comfortable and sounds amazing
Blacksharks beat these no problem
