Gosh, the Chinese Navy got a US Navy sonobuoy. And so...? The Navy doesn't retrieve them anyway, so the Chinese can just add it to their collection. Maybe they can trade them with other maritime powers and collect the whole set. I'd be willing to bet the Navy got more information from that retrieval that the Chinese ever expected.
The USA will loose because of their arrogance . The Chinese was so fast to find it and retrieve it and now they are doing reverse engineering to find out how the system TICK and after that they will create a countermeasure like the Russian are doing in Ukraine

Why don't the USA called the Gulf or Mexico "South USA Sea"? or the Caribbean Sea "South USA sea"?

Go go go US Navy Ship. China has no absolute right to own almost the entire length of South China Sea. Their claim has been denied by Arbitral Ruling. It's because no country can own a vast Sealanes which is being used as Maritime Shipping Route of almost Merchant shipping companies the world over to and from their port of origin to a port of their destination so as to deliver their products. The Chinese claim is absolute no basis. So, such claim become illegal. Just saying...........
