Ooo I would LOVE to see casual outfits for everyday errands like grocery shopping etc.. places where you’ve got things to do, probably break a sweat in the summer lugging bags back and forth.. those are the outfits I find tricky to pick out haha anyone else have this problem? Lol ✋ yes here 😅 breaking sweats daily in summer 🙈😅 I found more structured piece yet airy - like vests & loose fitted bermuda or linen cargo skirt - stay in shape whilst not clinging onto my skin. I also love empire dresses, the only skin contact point is ideally placed under the bra area and the rest is loose fitted. I find maxi length the best, as it elongates your core body and adds elegance. Another trick I have to keep cooler; keep your hair towel wet after washing them and tie them into a bun 😘👒 Here’s to keeping cool and look stunning in summer 🤘☀️😅😎 🐚🌴
Thank you for this video, really enjoyed it. In my late 20s and early 30s, I used to dress like this - a creamy white linen waistcoat with wide-leg trousers and minimal sandals. I began to think I was boring as other women my age embraced fashion and just "looked" more fun. I lost my way in all this and realize now that I should have just embraced my classic clothing personality and ignored what everyone else was doing. It looks chicer and will never date. I'm now busy adding classic pieces into my wardrobe again and feel like I have grown into my own skin at last.
Love this!!! And yes, totally agree and I do the same sometimes. I do love more bright and colourful pieces occasionally and it's still fun to embrace different parts of fashion and style! But ultimately it's about what you feel great in!!

Thanks for the video, I found out that investing is not for everyone, you just need a strong stomach to see your wallet fall. Hands down my favourite summer outfit video 🙌 😄 thank you Lydia!! I feel so comfortable with vest tops, as they are a little more structured than other tops but do not stick to the skin. I found I sort of need some structure on top. I had to give away brand new tops to charity as they were too soft and loose, and just hung on me, giving me a very sloppy unflattering look. I loved every outfit, and will take my inspiration from it for workwear. And loving a tonal matching set as I really can’t be bothered putting pieces together, messing most certainly my outfit up🙃 I like being done with it, specially in summer when I need to focus on sweat management 😆 sorry for the details 😅 Massive thanks to you 😅☀️😘

Hi Lydia, thanks for another great video! Could you perhaps do one on chic wedding guest outfits for weddings abroad (in a hot climate)? It's tricky because cotton and linen dresses are great for daytime in the heat but can look a bit casual for a more glam evening reception. Also white and black are often culturally inappropriate for weddings which rules out most of my summer wardrobe lol! If that's too narrow an idea, glam (rather than casual) summer holiday evening dressing would cover much of the same territory I think. Thanks for all the ongoing inspiration! x

I purchased a pair of navy linen and white linen Bermuda shorts and absolutely love them. I also got out of my comfort zone and purchased a colorful printed short. It has a preppy vibe to it.
