I’m glad I read the comments before watching this reaction. Saw a comment saying you described him as “ball-less” There were singers in the past called castrato it’s fine if u said he sounded similar bcos they do have similarities as they are both classified as child like tones aka prepubescent voices. It’s pretty misleading to label urself as a pro singer and fail to use technical terms that most pro singers know. Using that term is frankly derogatory. You have the autonomy to not react to him so pls dont react to him again.
I call the music he sings ball-less. Not him. Meaning it’s lacking edge.

I don’t think that Zhou Shen ‘s songs are the style you like. I am not blaming you, because people have different taste. You might like rock singer. You can try to listen to songs of Cui Jian and Xu Wei. They are the earlier founder of chinese rock music.

Appreciate your reaction and your own opinion. Shens voice is the most healing and angelic one I have heard. This song was not written for human being initially. Since you do not know Chinese, maybe you did not realize he presented 6 different characters in a song. Suggest you do not react to songs that do not have eng subtitles.
Appended thoughts. Found the reaction by "Reaction by D". He quickly realized the song is about multiple personality. Maybe you are good at singing the songs of your own style, you could do better job in reaction which requires sharp observations. "Reaction by D" can quikly identify some subtleness of the songs he reacted. That's very amazing.
hello, it is a pleasure to hear your reactions since you are honest in your tastes but you appreciate very well the voices of the artists. Speaking of Zhou Shen, it could be said that he is the "favorite son" of Chinese drama producers since many of them use his voice for the opening songs, ending songs or even between chapters. His sweet voice makes him one of the most desired when it comes to creating a soundtrack. He is one of my favorites along with Hua Chenyu, Dimash, and Jam Hsiao. I would just like you to listen to JAM HSIAO since he is a rocker by nature, with a great voice and very versatile. To start I would listen to "PI NANG" and "HAUNTING ME". I think you may like him. !!!

You may like some darker songs of his like "Ring the Doorbell and listen by ourselves" ua-cam.com/video/Ao1g_8vaNbc/v-deo.html which was written by a famous Chinese composer, and Zhou Shen was the first to sing it for the public to hear. Thank you for you video and post. But I don’t think you did the proper homework or background on this performance before “reacting” to it.
First of all, “video game like song” or “like Lady Gaga” -> This wasn’t this signer’s song; he never claimed it to be original.
In fact, the “original” of this song was exactly a duet between a live human singer, and a “virtual anime singer” that is viewed through augmented reality on smart phone camera. Voice style was exactly night core. But that’s the original, separate singers for the separate parts.
What this performer did that I thought was pretty amazing, was four distinct voices all done by him, with quick switch back and forth between the two.
No digital remixing like Enya.
Just his voice.
What he also did (I think) was he may have modified the lyrics, or maybe his team modified it for him. Went from original 2-part (diet) to 4-part (quartet, but not in the traditional quartet sense). The lyrics got much more humorous than the original, fully utilizing this singer’s control on his vocal.
But if you don’t speak the language, you wouldn’t know that.
Yeah, he just doesn't sing the type of music you'd like, and that's fine. If you do want to react to him again, Ring the Doorbell is probably the best bet because of the darker tone of the song. When a group that seen many things, they’re not surprise anymore 😂. As I have said long ago when I first heard him sing. His voice is amazing, but too bad it’s not an adult voice. And he doesn’t have that deep piercing nail. His voice only suit for eastern style or opera but not heavy duty deep like Angelina. Angelina’s voice suited for many things from classical to heavy metal rock. If he have that nail, he may be your another favourite.
