Thanks for the recipe the added heavy cream, salt and lemon makes it taste so much better than other recipes I've had before... I did tweak it a bit to make it faster to make by putting it 30 min in the instapot just had to separate it into 2 containers and gauge the caramel to fit accordingly.
@@dorischavez8535 instantly, it comes out super soft like a pudding, the hardenning is done on the fridge. so you dont need to wait for the steam to release.

Nice video. I mix the 5-6 eggs, cinnamon powder, evaporated milk, condensed milk and vanilla in the blender. Once my caramelized sugar is ready, I strain the mixture into the prepared pan. I place it in a water bath and bake at 350 for 80 minutes. It does come out jiggly and sets as it cools. I run a knife around the edges because based on past experience, it sticks. I do sub coco lopez for the condensed milk when I want a more Caribbean vibe (where the fam is from).

Like Claudia said, my Perfect Pot came with that insert in it. I am sure you can use any steel steam thingy that opens up like a round fan or any other similar insert.

Claudia, just something to try. I know you use an Instant Pot and I've always cooked my flan in the pressure cooker and it was done in 20 minutes. I now use my Instant Pot.
I can tell if a flan is pufe eggyolk or whole eggs, theres a big difference in texture and taste. Using the grated skin of lime lemon or orange will add charater to the taste, i like the lime better.
Many recipes ask for whole eggs + extra yolks, which is better?? I didn’t get a chance to taste my first flan attempt, which was 4 whole + 2 yolks. Trying this recipe now.
