- "While my guitar gently weeps" was written by George Harrison and was released in 1968 in the Beatles "White Album". The lead guitar in the song is played by the one and only Eric Clapton.
Since then many people covered it with notable covers of Jeff Healey, Toto, Eric Clapton, Vinnie Moore etc.
