It is a CyberConnect2 game. It is to be expected. The Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games they made are peak QTE’s with their boss fights. Even their 2010 Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 probably has my favourite first boss fight ever. It may not be faithful to the source material, but it’s wild and I love it for it.
Azura’s Wrath is peak 3D animated fighting done to mimick that of a 2D style. It’s an absolute banger to watch and it helps that even the Frontiers Titan Soundtracks still have that cinematic feeling
even if you compare asura to shadow, that is still bs what youre comparing asura would be more like kratos but an 100% god, have his daughter alive and someone that wont betray him anymore

@@kamiyada7035 comparing game plots is ok, the problem comes where: - shadow dont go on a rampage - asura only lost his wife, got betrayed by everyone he called friends and his daughter got kidnapped - and the way he put about maria beeing shadow daughter didnt got nothing to understand as well
I wish they would remake this, but done by Platinum Games playstyle. Not harping on CC2s work, but I would have loved to do more action-packed combos than just a bunch of QTE.
Nah the qtes are what makes this game what it is. It isn’t meant to be big combos, it’s meant to be two guys punching each other into all shit. Doesn’t work in the platinum games combo style of things

Asura's Wrath is just Shadow the Hedgehog but Maria is Shadow's daughter.
