@@The_Honcho at Fort bliss we shot a full table 12 gunnery twice a year. As a career driver who ended up driving for both the CO and Xo for my last 9 months in the army, I can tell you being a driver during gunnery is incredibly boring and anti climatic. Its driver move up, driver back down, driver move out, driver stop. Id say if your dead set on joining the army, join as a pog like a 88m or 92f or something easy. My advice, join the air force, in the end its about quality of life, you'll learn after a few years, it doesn't matter if your comabt arms or a pog.
How did it go? They just showed up while you were in OSUT and started filming? We had some stuff like that when i went thru years ago, never found out where the videos went tho lol
@@Daniel-yb7ry I wish they were more honest in these videos about certain jobs. A Tank Crewman is mostly a general maintenance mechanic. That is FANTASTIC. Was a 19k. You'll spend 90% of the time doing pmcs/ maintenance/ standing in front of the hull watching one guy work.
How often did you guys get to do gunnery practice?

Plus I think Ukraine is showing that these might be giant metal coffins in the event of a modern conventional war.
Sounds great, where do I sign up? Just please don't let me get stationed at Hood

My dream job in the army!!
I’m thinking of being a tanker, seems like a cool and unique job
If u want to be a mechanic all day and using a tank maybe 1 hour a day

Wow! The army has definitly changed. When I was in the tankers were all trained in Ft. Knox Kentucky.
The 19d and 19k were rivals back when i did osut.... in started march 07 when i was there. India 5/15
Just graduated OSUT september 5th, was a little underwhelming but made alot of great friends
Shipping out for basic May 28th as a 19k this actually looks cooler than I thought it would 🦾

Same here brotha.
Not a fan of my rate one bit.
Terrible day for my ship date 9/11.
Probably not the best for people above 6 foot.
After my first contract I'll probably switch to army and do19k
19d all the way
Gonna be signing Friday to do this :)
Im considering this as an MOS
Whats your experience been like??

Why did you choose this MOS? And did you get a bonus for this mos?

What are the requirements to be a tanker?
An 87 on the ASVAB CO section and being less than 6 foot 1

So after OSUT the experience is comparable to almost every other lower enlisted in combat arms?
Serious question
ambrams game up left right up
Leaving sept 12th, chose 19k
How is it so far?
