I personally love this part of the book and movie because it shows that even though Harry isn’t the best of friends with Draco, he still saves him anyway!
Dumbledore said in the third book that there is a very special bond between wizards when one is indebted to the other for saving that wizard's life and that somehow that debt will be repaid. So if Harry didn't save Malfoy's life, the mother wouldn't have saved his...
Draco saved him from Bellatrix in the 1st part by not telling her that the guy Snatchers caught was Harry. That's why Harry saved him here. Then actually Draco helped Harry to defeat Voldemort by giving Harry's wand back when it fell down, but they cut the scene from this movie. Don't know why they cut it since it was just about 10 seconds scene.
Fiendfyre is an extremely powerful spell. It is highly advanced magic, and one of the only known spells devastating enough to destroy an Horcrux. Only a few can canalise it and master it, such as Gellert Grindelwald, Albus Dumbledore, and Tom Marvolo Riddle. To cast it is simple enough, but to control it requires a mastery of magic far beyond ordinary wizardry capacity. Which is why Crabbe failed to contain it. Even Hermione had mentioned she wasn't sure she could do it herself, even though she's so skilled with magic.
In the book she specifically says “I don’t know how he managed to use that spell, I can’t even do that” and she’s one of the most skilled witches at Hogwarts. She also didn’t know how to control it or put it out, even though she made her best attempts to do it.
Hermione has a tendency not to over reach unless absolutely necessary. She uses healing potions rather than risk venturing into the highly technical field of healing spells, uses a basilisk fang rather than fiendfyre, etc. She has a keen mind for figuring out what will give consistent, dependable results, its one of her greatest strengths.
Nicholas C. The thing that annoy me is why dumbledore didnt just destroy the gaunt ring with fiendfyre when he was able to summon and control it easily
Don't remember if it was fully explained in the movie, but the gaunt ring's headstone was the resurrection stone. Dumbledore tried using it to see his sister one last time, a foolish moment because it was linked to the horcrux and activated the curse that would have killed him if not for Snape. Dumbledore ends up using the sword of gryffindor to destroy it, which is a little cleaner and simpler than fiendfyre
Hermione wanted to do it but she knew it is very dangerous because it is dark magic and will follow every living thing if she couldn't control it not only will destroy the Horcurxe but will burn her and her friends to ashes
So something I just realized: Harry never wanted Draco dead, just like James never wanted Snape dead. James saves Severus when Sirius played a prank on Severus by sending him to the shrieking shack while Lupin was transforming into a werewolf. Harry saves Draco in the room of requirement! (Sorry if you guys already knew about this connection, I just thought it was cool 😀)
It’s like the 2 are just friends but Ron is in love with Hermione so he runs and grabs her like let’s go! They run off holding hands besides be a bit odd if Ron took Harry’s Hand and ran off with him I do find Harry and Hermione only friends
Honestly, it was a smart tactical decision. Hermione is absolutely brilliant but more likely to hesitate. Harry is more impulsive and likely to immediately react (although there was a 50/50 chance that he would try Expelliarmus on the fire).
I watched behind the scenes while doing this thing when Rupert runs toward Emma to grab her hand he accidentally runs into her almost knocked her down whoops another take everything cracked up 😆
Hermione was the screenwriters favorite character... so they made her into this perfect persona and even worse they dumbed Ron down to give her more space to shine.
@@BrunoOliveira-to7hf yes I noticed this too :( Hermione is a wonderful character but she did have her flaws and I feel like the movies didn't show that. Instead, they compensated Ron's character to make her look perfect which is disappointing!
Yeah. The scriptwriter made her flawless since he's a fan of hers. I love Hermione but what they portrayed in the films was too cliché. Have no problem with Emma Watson, she did it pretty well based on what was given to her. Though Rowling initially thought she was too pretty.

One of the few scenes in movies where it's 'The trio' and not 'Hermione and friends'. Harry stopped the immediate effect of Fiendfire. Ron gave them broomstick to escape. Harry and Ron took Draco and Blaise respectively to save them. Hermione made a gateway through the fire, gave Harry fang,Harry stabed the diadem and Ron kicked it in the fire.
A lot can be talked about in this scene A drarry moment, a Ronmione moment a golden trio moment at the end but I want to talk about that impressive shield that Harry did that stopped all four sides of fiendfyre coming at them Not a Dumbledore level but hella impressive nevertheless Also Draco grabbing Blaise to lowkey save him but also lowkey upset at Goyles death
Why didn’t brooms appear when Draco and Blaise needed them? It is the room of requirement after all, and that’s how the book describes them showing up for Harry, Ron, and Hermione
I know many of the Room's previous users and item owners may be dead, but for the living, that room was a godsend. I'm not sure if that flame will ever be extinguished, but the items there have surely been lost forever.
This one act, I think, proves once and for all that Harry would not belong in Slytherin like the sorting hat said. Many Slytherins value self-preservation and would more likely just get out of there to save themselves.
