We have been enjoying our time in Serbia, we want to share this beautiful country and community in the Balkans with you. Serbia in our opinion has been overlooked by the Expat community, and we think Serbia deserves some serious consideration.
Do you want to live abroad as an Expat? Are you looking for affordable and viable options? We are exploring the world to see what it's like to live in a country, and also discover if Residency is an option.
We began our retirement in March of 2020 with the intent to travel the world, spending 1-3 months in a country or location. We want to see what it's like to live there and not simply visit, and we want to share these experiences and the costs with whoever wishes to follow along.
If your looking for a place in Europe to live or retire Serbia may be an option, stay tuned and follow along.

Julie and I retired early not by luck but by planning.
One of our spokes to our wheel for savings, and now an income stream
is Fundrise. Basically we are invested in many apartment complexes around the country.
We get a portion of the rents in the form of dividends, and growth in value with the appreciation
of the properties. We currently have selected an income REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust)
which historically pays between 7.5% - 9% annually in dividends. You can chose a balanced REIT which has a split between appreciation and dividends or a REIT where it's focused on appreciation and not dividends.
Check it out to see if it's a fit for your savings, or retirement strategy. Feel free to share this with those you feel may benefit from this program.

I was born in former Yugoslavia and we had a school excursion to Petrovaradin . We had a tour just above ground ,they never let us in those tunnels because we are bunch of 15 year old's . Now I know why .
Yes, you need to go with a trained guide.

This was one of the best videos I've ever seen. What an adventure! I can't imagine how the people lived in those days! And those bats, I kinda liked them (from far!) but what did they eat down there, mice?
I think this has been one of my favorite videos so far. You were very brave to take on this challenge. Parts of it were hilarious especially when they started filming you. What a unique and awesome experience. I think it’s a good idea you left Julie home for this one because I do not think she would have liked it!!
Haha 😆 yes this was not a trip Julie would have enjoyed as much as I did. Glad you liked the video ♥️
Novi Sad is amazing! I have toured all over Europe and major metropolises, but I feel best in this city. My recommendation is that the next time you come to Serbia, you will visit eastern Serbia on the Danube. You have the magical fortresses Golubac,Smederevo and Ram and Viminacium Roman camp, and Lepenski Vir the place of the oldest human civilization in Europe. There is also Trajan's tablet on the Danube and Decebal's head carved into the rock, the largest stone sculpture in Europe. In the south of Serbia the Uvac canyon must be directed by Kusturica Drvengrad on Mokra Gora.
Thanks, we will try to see as much as possible in future trips to Serbia so hopefully we can get to all of these.
I can't wait to look these guys up the next time I am in Novi Sad.
“I think I’m um, I think I’m a little lost” WK (had me laughing)

Petrovaradin fortress is second biggest in Europe.
Thanks, what’s #1?
@@WarrenJulieTravel it is debatable!
But the fortress of Verdun in France and the fortress of Luxembourg are mentioned. However, they are city fortresses, in comparison with which it is a war, main, combat, commanding, border fortress with admixtures of hilly mountain river fortresses, there is no official information that I do. Research is still ongoing.
Our fortress has about 148 hectares (unofficial information), official 112, but it does not include 3 missing parts, ie two parts that were destroyed and one that was flooded. Verdun is supposedly around 150, while Luxembourg is 180- What is characteristic of them today is that they do not have even half preserved. (Keep all this information with a reserve because, as I said, we started the research on that occasion 5 years ago, but we also stopped, which does not mean that we will not continue and dissuade maybe everything) that the Petrovaradin Fortress is still the largest fortress in Europe.
I saw an American TV show years ago, it was a ghost hunting show. They visited those very same tunnels in Petrovaradin and recorded some spooky stuff.

Glad I didn’t see this first.😂
Fake af
@@hormones9710 of course it is , but its still cool that they did the show at Petrovaradin fort :)
One side of me wants Petrovaradin fort to be more famous then it is now, and one side is against it. Because more people = more trash and destruction
How cool was that!
It was a lot of fun.
Great video!! Are the caves open to the public or do you have to have a guide?
You need a guide for your own safety. Someone can find a way in on their own, but that may be dangerous.
Take it easy with the RAKIJA ( plumb brandy) .. couple of shots and you will become a Serb too 😊✌️...that thing will knock you out buddy ,
Lol, it was pretty good.
Fun Fact: Serbia became the first country in the history of mankind to have a female LGBT as its prime minister.Serbia is the most LGBT friendly country in the balkans.Cheers!
