I switched from Logic Pro to FL Studio fully, but I prefer Logic Pro more. The reason I switched was the switch from Mac to Windows as being on a Mac felt much more limited than Windows, so when I built my new computer I tried both Ableton & FL Studio and went with FL because I found it easier to use, since I'd used it a few times before whilst I was still a Logic user for collabs. If Logic was available for Windows I would 100% stay with that, but for me, being on Windows and having a less preferred DAW outweighs being on a DAW which works better for me whilst being on a more limited OS (Operating System).
try Cubase maybe? Or Studio One... Much more similar to Logic than FL. I went from Logic, to Studio One and finally to Cubase now. I also used Ableton in the past, but while it is great for editing and sound design, I really do not like it for mixing.
@@AlexLapugean I was just about to say this. I was in their situation and chose Cubase as my DAW on Windows. I’m back on Mac and I still use Cubase mostly.
I’m feeling absolutely the same, I started producing on FL, then moved to Ableton… after producing on Ableton for 10 years I recently moved into Logic and IDK why but I feel like Logic’s sound is better. I like the quality more and I can take decisions faster and better to know what I should keep and what I should remove. This helps me to feel more creative and inspired, is like Logic was made just to work.
I have about 5 DAWs. Still fall back to FL for ease of use. Now its supported on MAC so more compelling. They all work differently and depends on your use case but compared to Logic Pro, Pro Tools and Native Instruments and can't remember the other FL always enables my ideas to be created quickly with little fuss. Spend time with several and then decide is my general recommendation.
I moved from Cubase to FL, and now I'm thinking about moving from FL to Logic and that's why I got here. All these reasons that are referred to in this video are so relevant to me who make beats, record and mix. I thought FL was a user friendly and most intuitive DAW, yet the routing system and organizing twice for one instrument really irritated me especially when it comes to recording vocals.
Also, and a huge plus, Logic has never charged for an update, and those updates are hugely impactful. New instruments, effects, you name it. Free. Every time. Logic is a no brainer, for me anyway.
I love your channel, your editing, and your energy! I'm subbed. Also, I used Logic Pro for a while and switched to Ableton, then Cubase, then back to Ableton, then Reaper, where I'm at now. But, your video is making me consider going back to Logic. Even though as I'm writing this I'm realizing I'm a chronic DAW-switcher.
Hahaha you are 😅 But this way you can make a good decision on which DAW is best for you! And thank you so much for the kind words on the channel, so happy to hear all this as a lot of work goes into it 🙏🏻
I heard a good reputation about "Reaper". I'm about to start music production, do you think reaper is worth the try or should I choose other DAW which would be more productive for my future career
I think this is great! It is always important to find the DAW's that can allow your workflow and sound to evolve as much as you do throughout your career! Great work!
I love FL. Made my first 3 projects on it. It saved my life. But imo it’s horrendous at recording and mixing vocals. It’s an extra step to bounce out all the stems, but now I record in Logic (for Flex) or Reaper. And mix in Reaper. Once I learn how to make beats and get the better version of Melodyne or Autotune Pro, in reaper I’ll probably just do everything in there tbh.
I started on Ableton and switched to Logic and have never looked back. It just makes more sense to me and I think the built in instruments are the best. Plus, the flat price is great.
I started off with FL not knowing what the difference was in quality when it came to recording but for beats it’s my go too but I had to switch automatically to logic for recording and such it has better quality it took me awhile to figure that out myself it’s a powerhouse as well logic 🔥
I started on cool edit pro, then samplitude, skipped to cakewalk then “Ensoniq Paris with MPC 2000” then made the jump to Logic 9 and then 10! I will never go back ever, Logic is that deal to me!!
I started with FL too, while it’s cool and has some neat features, I feel like Logic is a lot better for overall design simplicity and functionality. FL still feels messy and a CPU drain. I think FL is better for DJ’s and beat makers, but for regular musicians, Logic Pro is easier and somewhat intuitive.
yes , me too , many big names in edm like alan walker , martin garrix , bassjackers , brooks and more use fl studio as main daw , but she said fl is not for edm producers , this makes everyone laugh
U use Studio One, Logic Pro and Ableton. S1 is NO.1, no doubt. (search plugins, scales, macros, ghost notes, warp audio, input gain on mixer, scenes, project page).. The only thing better about Logic is that indescribable magic it has..
Just switched from fl to logic pro too (athough 1. i had only been using fl for like a few weeks and only made one track with it and 2. i only had the trial version of fl studio and the payed version of logic pro lol), so really glad to see the switch was worth it! awesome video!!
Having tried pro tools logic, fl seems more computer optimized for me. I can record vocals and midi at a higher sample rate and lower buffer without clicks
Looing messy is about personal organisation of work(Opinion) In the end, the expertise u have in ur chosen DAW will be the most important thing for I guess no one can tell which DAW was used to make a song by listening to it.
Just want to let you know that your video has helped me make up my mind. I have used FL studio before and can agree on everything you say. I will now be purchasing Logic. Thanks for a simple yet informative video. Keep it up!
I was a studio one guy cause it’s clean & fl is crazy looking to me, a friend got a maschine mk3 but couldn’t figure it out and so I purchased a maschine mikro to learn it to teach her, then enjoyed it so much that I switched, love the sounds n the hardware
Pretty controversial subject, but it’s a must to share imo. I was longtime windows user and I thanked I never touch fl as its a mess if we translate to a real mixer.. it just sucks and adds extra steps and breaks workflow. I used Live on windows but wanted to also use Logic so I build a Hackintosh and now I have the best of both worlds. I use Logic, Live, Pro Tools and Luna in macOS and I still can game on Windows. Although I also must say there’s no correct answer to this dilema. The best daw is the one you feel as an extension of you, the one that feeds your necesites. Be free to choose whatever daw you want and you feel you produce what you want and need with it. Great video and “why’s” you’ve addressed in this video. Also great editing as all last videos 🔥
I've been playing with FL studio for 1 year now (first I started with Reaper) and now I'm trying Logic. As a 3D artist (you know, Maya, Blender, Zbrush...I know a "little bit" about UI in softwares) that occasionally do some recordings with my guitar and want to learn music production seriously now, I totally agree in all the points that you said: FL studio is messy AF, the UI in Logic is much better, intuitive and ready to go. Thanks for sharing, nice video!
I'm transitioning to logic from ableton (or rather, from my PC to a way more powerful macbook than what I had in the past), and I had no idea that it has something like melodyne, which I also had on my radar, so thanks for sharing that! To be honest your cuteness is a bit distracting, but I still learned something new so I'll subscribe anyway... :D
First off all a big shout out to you you're doing a great job and i can also relates to you in this fl case because i also switch to abeleton because of the same reasons !!
it felt like vocals were easier to take in fl studio. logic had too much delay, and doesn’t remove delay when the plugins are bypassed. fl studio will remove the delay when disabling the plugin which helps with the latency on vocals
In all the advices on UA-cam, that is the best one. The UI and work flow are big for me. Why should you stick to a daw that doesn't inspire you. Today, I make up my mind. Thank you for your wise advice.
I use FL for lifetime free updates since I don’t have all the money in the world. Also, FL Stock plugins sound better than people portray them as, it’s just a matter of how you use them.
@@DaleRobertSzyms actually it doesnt. it has minor updates that are free like if you were in logic 9 and then updating it to 9.1, 9.2, etc. But if you wanna go from Logic 9 to Logic X then you gotta pay for that.
You just gain a new one. I love logic Pro! This DAW is fire! The price for Logic is amazing. The set for Logic is just beautiful. It has a very awesome trendsetting workflow. I do love Ableton as well.

@@musicbyplv aye Ableton to me has a more industry oriented approach. It has the same effect as Pro Tools to me. That’s just me. I quit missing with Pro Tools after I actually started realizing Logic and Ableton can the same things as Pro Tools when it comes to mixing and mastering. That’s me tho.
I started on fruity loops 3, and this video is why I use Logic Pro since I got it and not fl studio. Logic is great for songwriters that produce, fl is better for ppl who just produce. Great vid new sub 🥳
i mainly use logic pro for a few months now but sometimes i still travel through fl studio because i payed for it years ago and flex and kepler are just big parts of my workflow, glad i can connect logic with fl
I started out on FL Studio, but a few months back I switched to Logic as well. Wish I made the change sooner! After learning a DAW, it's much easier to learn a new one. And Logic for me was much easier to navigate.
nah bruh... been with FLstudio since version 4 and getting the song out and layering ideas is EZ, all you do is make an 8 or 16 bar pattern and loop them to make a song... you can select each loop to make them unique....add fills...making it sound the best it can is where you need to be versed in studio sound engineering and mixing overall, the base features are very easy for EDM users. you just have to be curious and pick apart the demo songs if you're a beginner. learning new DAWs is a grass is greener comparison.
& I Don't Have A Mac So I'll Have To Use A VM (macOS Sonoma) For That. Anuj Suthar Also Uses FL Studio, Ableton Live & Logic Pro (Along With GarageBand + Audiobus {& Additional Music Tools Such As X-Drum, Perfect Piano, FL Studio Mobile & So On} [MIDI Controllers Are AKAI MPK, Octapad, Keyboards, V-Drums, TBA & A DJ Controller])
Great video. I'm an old school FL Studio user, but considering switching to Logic. Or at least use both. And now you convinced me haha. Btw, reason 5 is underrated. People sometimes don't realize how the user interface can affect your creativity. That's basically the reason why I could never use Ableton 😄
Hi I’m so glad I stumbled across your video! I am using logic pro, and when I first bought a keyboard which was an AKAI MPC mini, it came with MPC Beats. After a year and a half I can’t figure out how to get it to make a sound! Logic on the other hand was as easy as pouring a glass of milk. I can zoom through a project just as quick. But get this, one of my third party apps offered “Ableton Live Lite” for free. So I thought, like yourself, why not try it? I downloaded it, opened it up, looked at the interface and closed it down. I didn’t know what I was looking at. I went to their “tutorials” and they were from older versions and so busy it was like going on a tour of a nuclear reactor control panel (yes, I know what one looks like). So now, I keep the app in hiding only to be used by someone I might collaborate with who doesn’t know Logic. Thanks for reaffirming thAT Logic Pro is a great, professional DAW. Gianni❤
Interesting video. Through my 30 years experience is learning what’s best for you. What’s best for me? Making a beat in FL withholding FX as much as possible outside from sound sculpting but bouncing the stems and actually mixing Eq etc in what I prefer is pro tools but in logic atm. So it’s easier to make beat in FL but it’s easier to eq compress etc in logic/pro tools. Pro tools far superior in editing. Just wished logic shared same keyboard shortcuts for editing.
One can use both. FL Studio is good for certain things and it may be clumsy for other things. It takes some time to figure out a work flow. I assume you have license for both so it's not really an issue one or the other. It all depends what gets the job done at the moment.
Fl Studio is a really dope DAW USED IT MYSELF FOR YEARS but i’ve seen people make the switch to Ableton and logic because at the end of the day work flow matters!
Cubase, Nuendo, Studio One, Cakewalk, and Samplitude all have a similar paradigm to Logic and will suit people who maybe don't want to use a Mac. There are of course many small differences but the workflow is more similar than different. Live and Bitwig are but still playing catch-up on many features us old-timers take for granted... but have unique features as well. And FL Studio is just odd. That doesn't mean it's nott useful but yes, more so for repeating beats.
FL is good until you try another DAW. I used it for 15 years and then gave Logic a shot. It’s just better for organizing and mixing. Eventually made my way to Bitwig. I love how it makes experimental tools accessible to everyone.
Cool video. Just saw your channel for the first time tonight. I also downloaded your Logic Template. One tip I'd suggest about the templates. It would be best to use only stock Logic plugins. That way everyone who downloads a template would be guaranteed to have every track working as it should without the need to find a replacement for a Serum or Waves plugin. Sticking to the stock plugins in Logic makes life so much easier with the templates.🙂
Hey Danny! Im glad you discovered my channel and are enjoying the content I bring to the platform :) Also you are SO right, I will update the template as soon as I can!!! Thank you! 😃🎶
For me, it's like this... I have to say I love Fl Studio and get along great with it, but it really sucks after a while when you want to mix & master vocals with it, because all the mixer tracks etc. are just annoying. With Logic it is really much more intuitive and you are just faster. Therefore from my side: Fl Studio --> Great for making beats Logic --> Great for vocals mixing and mastering That's why I switched to Logic for vocal mixing and mastering, because most of the time I work on vocals and less on beats, but now and then when I feel like it I build a few beats and then but in Fl Studio.
*It's awesome you've found a daw that suits you better. For me, I can't see a point to switch from FL. I see the Logic Pro now offers lifetime free upgrades which is cool, but it'll be really hard for them to take a significant amount of FL's market... especially when they're an Apple only product.*
Yeah absolutely if FL works for you then that's awesome :) I really wish they would be on PC BUT I actually changed to mac for Logic and I would never go back 😍
@@gtmlsmsc *How do you mean? I've been using a pc for 2012 that running windows without the need to buy another one, I think you have it backwards. Apple is will known for making their products no long updatable after a few years. But either way, my point was since their (Logic Pro) is exclusive to mac, it's unthinkable that such a business could out preform a competitor who's product is on both platforms.*
you're right - I did unfollow (long term FL Studio user). I disagree with some of your reasons for changing, but you are right, how a DAW makes you feel really can affect creativity. Luckily I saw sense and re-subscribed as I don't want to miss out on all your other excellent content :)
I would consider switching and can't completely rule it out, because I do agree with your points. For me though, most of my issues would arise by switching to a different OS. Widows has much more support compared to MAC. But I can probably say most of the plugins I would use (VSTS) they are available on MAC as well. thanks for the tips!
As for me the blund of 2 DAWs can make more sense because it is true from my experience. I use both FL studio and logic in 2 different ways I mean in FL studio it's more suitable for beat making and logic Pro is a DAW I use for melody ideas then by rewairing I use FL studio as a vst in logic Pro and record all those beats I have created in FL studio into logic Pro so for me these 2DAWs are very much useful
I wish that Logic Pro was available on Windows though as I currently don't own a MacBook and it's way too expensive to buy just for the sake of using Logic. FL isn't the worst but there's a ton of menu diving, are there any alternatives that you can recommend on Windows based devices?
The same can be said for Studio One ! When I first started producing 7 years back, I used FL Studio but quickly came to realize that it was a pain in the butt 😑 I couldn't afford a Mac so I had to go for a Windows alternative to Logic Pro and discovered PreSonus Studio One and I must say, it is the Logic Pro for Windows 😁 As of 2023 the latest release Studio One 6 looks, works and exactly feels like Logic Pro, even I could easily follow Logic Pro tutorials and recreate them in Studio One 😎 I wish people could understand how terrible Fruity Loops is 🙃
Yeah absolutely!!! I really didn't know that about Studio One but that's awesome for everyone else to find an alternative :) Thank you for your input, really useful!
Evrytning that you explain about workflow is tne same for both. One pattern, one instrument one mixer fl do tne same. You can setup the automations and move tnem to tne bottom so that way they are not in the screen. Ect, ect ect...
@@musicbyplv I worked before with logic Pro. I think I started with Logic 7. Logic has one work flow, FL Studio has many. You can do the same thing in different ways. And this is why in music magazines for the past 7 years FL Studio is number 1 or 2 best DAW. But I think is more about taste, not work flow.
I agree with your conclusions. The only thing that’s a pity is that Logic doesn’t come with a good harmonizer and pitch corrector out of the box (Melodyne is much better than what comes with Logic).
@@JaultedMusic but still mad respect to FL ... It's the first step into professional music production for most music producer because its easy to find crack one.
Nah FL is the sexiest Daw out there :)) Nice video, for me the combination that works is FL and 3rd party plugins that everybody uses, no matter their Daw. And also, listen to SeamlessR or Dj Striden and then tell me you don't like how Harmor sounds :)) FL native sound generator plugins are amazingly powerful but not intuitive, that's just how it is, and I still love it :)) FL mixing plugins tho kinda lack a few functions, again, that's why I use 3rd party plugins. And price? Really? As if anybody is buying anything 😂😂 especially if they are just starting out
Almost all the reasons you mentioned are common across all DAWs, for example the layout of the mixers and audio and MIDI tracks, the ability to use flex time and flex pitch, the variety of plugins and internal effects of DAWs, and so on. The flex time and flex pitch options are not particularly new or unique either, and I have seen them in all DAWs since Sonar. Except for FL Studio, which has a completely different look and feel, almost everything you mentioned is common to all DAWs.
So I don't really know anything about FL Studio but patterns come from the era of music trackers, and also legacy drum machines and bassline synths (think Roland TB-303) used patterns.. The simplest way to explain patterns is to say that they are a bar of music, or a measure. This is the simplest way to get someone who's familiar with tradtitional music notation. Except that patterns are made of up lines which equal a note depending on how many lines are in the pattern.. so the time signature of the pattern really depends on the number of lines and how notes are divided up into it. But instead of changing the number of lines in patterns what people would do is use a command that would skip to the next pattern early, similar to a page break in MS Word. So if you wanted 3/4 in a 16 line pattern where every 4 lines is a quarter note, you'd skip to the next pattern at line 12. I don't know if this is how patterns work in FL Studio. I find it interesting that the UI of FL Studio looks like it was written by the creator of FastTracker II
I'm only a minute and half in on the video, and i completely agree with you. I unfortunately spent $300 on FL, used it, tried to really like it, but so many things made no sense or was just plain stupid. Once I tried Ableton out, it was so easy to use and made a beat in a matter of minutes. I never went back to FL and just wasted money ... I am very excited to try out Logic Pro on iPad though. Now I will continue watching the video.
Patterns is sadly the main reason why i would not move away from FL Studio. I don't understand it why other DAWs are not adding it??? It makes everything much more simple if you don't need a new instrument for every new note and every row is fixed to a instrument. Patterns make thing so simple and efficient :(
I mean I think it’s good that not all DAWs work the same, this way different people can find the way that works for them, for me it doesn’t make sense at all so I’m happy there are other options :) but if it works for you it’s great 😊
I would like to be able to try and change to logic, it looks very intuitive and I have always liked its interface, unfortunately at the moment I don't have one for a mac but in the future I will surely get one and start using it!
I used Logic after FL Studio because I needed full MPE support, but I think they both have strengths. There are still many features I find myself wishing for in Logic. It depends on the task I'm working on too. For example, if I'm making sound effects for a video game, FL Studio has better tools like Edison. I find myself using both DAWs.
Definitely is good to try different daw. everyone has a different music style, workflows and/or learning style and there's no a single daw that covers all style of production or workflows.
A lot of my friends that produce EDM work in Ableton and they've been trying to convert me from Logic, but I honestly enjoy Logic wayyy too much to switch. I'm glad there are people out there in the EDM scene that also prefer logic, I feel like there's not many of us out there 😭
If one used all the discounts the all plugins bundle would cost less than $350 dollars for FL which still makes it more than Logic but it is available for Windows and Macintosh which brings more users to FL which may be preferred DAW for certain music or producer.
The thing that most fl studio tutorials dont tell you is that the pattern system that most people say to use is confusing. theres an easier way to organize stuff in the daw to treat midi tracks like most daws do. Again though, a persons prefered daw depends on their workflow
I started on LMMS and then finally got FL but I struggled to make 1 beat for months but then I went back to LMMS and made countless good beats and I like LMMS a lot too. I've been thinking about switching to logic coz its UI caught my attention and it looks like a good DAW too and it reminds me of LMMS with the green 😅so I'm wondering if I should try it out and this video helped a lot

That is actually a VERY good point I should have mentionned! Thanks for this addition ;)
Exactly!!!! That's exactly what both are good for, thank you for that :D
@@musicbyplv me too
I started on cool edit pro, then samplitude, skipped to cakewalk then “Ensoniq Paris with MPC 2000” then made the jump to Logic 9 and then 10!
I will never go back ever, Logic is that deal to me!!
I just got logic about a week ago and I love it and I've been a FL user for 10 yrs+
Oh wow!!! Best testimonial then 😃
I started with FL too, while it’s cool and has some neat features, I feel like Logic is a lot better for overall design simplicity and functionality. FL still feels messy and a CPU drain. I think FL is better for DJ’s and beat makers, but for regular musicians, Logic Pro is easier and somewhat intuitive.
I did the exact same thing, started with fl, and as I started using logic it was just so much easier and just liked it so much more than other DAW’s
Exactlyyyyy we both have the same journey then :)
Lol FL is actually not messy if you actually know how to use it... and you can get quality sounds out of their internal plugins.
Ok..cool
3:40 But i can't agree the point that FL Studio not for EDM producers..huh?
🙂
yes , me too , many big names in edm like alan walker , martin garrix , bassjackers , brooks and more use fl studio as main daw , but she said fl is not for edm producers , this makes everyone laugh
@@alitaheri335 exactly
Afrojack but I think he switched to abelton though but he was a longtime user
I found that fl studio was prefect for what my workflow is I should have started using fl long ago
U use Studio One, Logic Pro and Ableton. S1 is NO.1, no doubt. (search plugins, scales, macros, ghost notes, warp audio, input gain on mixer, scenes, project page).. The only thing better about Logic is that indescribable magic it has..
Oh wow you tried a lot that's awesome! That's how you found the best for you :)
I started with Logic Pro and I have been using it for 5+ years and I still don't know much about it. I always learn something new while im using it!
PLV: let me know when you start using arturia plugin.
V Collection 9
FX Collection 3

Just switched from fl to logic pro too (athough 1. i had only been using fl for like a few weeks and only made one track with it and 2. i only had the trial version of fl studio and the payed version of logic pro lol), so really glad to see the switch was worth it! awesome video!!
Having tried pro tools logic, fl seems more computer optimized for me.
I can record vocals and midi at a higher sample rate and lower buffer without clicks
Looing messy is about personal organisation of work(Opinion)
In the end, the expertise u have in ur chosen DAW will be the most important thing for I guess no one can tell which DAW was used to make a song by listening to it.
Just want to let you know that your video has helped me make up my mind. I have used FL studio before and can agree on everything you say. I will now be purchasing Logic. Thanks for a simple yet informative video. Keep it up!
That was exactly the point of the video, to help you figure out what's best for you :) You're welcome!!! 😇 Have fun on Logic!
Logic pro is just amazing, rock solid rarely crashes and optimized for mac...using for 10 years..regards
I agree 100 percent but for me, It's Ableton all the way! Logic for mixing and vocals.
thanks! sounds like i'll start with logic 👌
Haha nice Im glad if I helped you make your decision ;)
Logic has lifetime free updates.
You make a good point man 👍👍👍
@@DaleRobertSzyms actually it doesnt. it has minor updates that are free like if you were in logic 9 and then updating it to 9.1, 9.2, etc. But if you wanna go from Logic 9 to Logic X then you gotta pay for that.
With FL, you can go from FL 12 to FL 21 for free without having to pay again

Great video, thanks. Always a LPX user - definitely the best DAW and the best GUI.
You just gain a new one. I love logic Pro! This DAW is fire! The price for Logic is amazing. The set for Logic is just beautiful. It has a very awesome trendsetting workflow. I do love Ableton as well.
Thank you so much for joining, glad you enjoy the videos! :D For everything you said, I couldn't agree more haha! Maybe one day I'll give Ableton a try!
Honestly speaking logic is so Amazing,I kidda agree with u logic and Ableton is nice combination
I started on fruity loops 3, and this video is why I use Logic Pro since I got it and not fl studio. Logic is great for songwriters that produce, fl is better for ppl who just produce. Great vid new sub 🥳
As someone who started off with GarageBand mobile and is currently using FL, this video is tempting me to make the switch 🤩 just need a Mac haha
i mainly use logic pro for a few months now but sometimes i still travel through fl studio because i payed for it years ago and flex and kepler are just big parts of my workflow, glad i can connect logic with fl
I started out on FL Studio, but a few months back I switched to Logic as well. Wish I made the change sooner! After learning a DAW, it's much easier to learn a new one. And Logic for me was much easier to navigate.
That is such a good point!!! Same story here :)
nah bruh... been with FLstudio since version 4 and getting the song out and layering ideas is EZ, all you do is make an 8 or 16 bar pattern and loop them to make a song... you can select each loop to make them unique....add fills...making it sound the best it can is where you need to be versed in studio sound engineering and mixing
overall, the base features are very easy for EDM users. you just have to be curious and pick apart the demo songs if you're a beginner.
learning new DAWs is a grass is greener comparison.
Thank you for this video really helped me make the best choice
I'm so glad! That was literally the goal of this video :D
Yeah exactly, you just have to choose the one that makes sense to you :)
Exactly !! 😊
Hahaha wow that's crazyyyyy! But I feel the same way!
Totally agreed with u
I have used FL for more than 15 years, and then I switched to logic, and I love it
I should have switched 15 years ago, lol
Therefore from my side:
Fl Studio --> Great for making beats
Logic --> Great for vocals mixing and mastering
That's why I switched to Logic for vocal mixing and mastering, because most of the time I work on vocals and less on beats, but now and then when I feel like it I build a few beats and then but in Fl Studio.
i heard of logic pro first before i heard of fl studio- so um... anyways when i was young my mom bought it with my mac computer, been doin' it since!
*It's awesome you've found a daw that suits you better. For me, I can't see a point to switch from FL. I see the Logic Pro now offers lifetime free upgrades which is cool, but it'll be really hard for them to take a significant amount of FL's market... especially when they're an Apple only product.*
Yeah absolutely if FL works for you then that's awesome :) I really wish they would be on PC BUT I actually changed to mac for Logic and I would never go back 😍
A macbook is ten times better than windows even for another purpose at least you don't have to buy a new one every other year lol 🤣
@@gtmlsmsc *How do you mean? I've been using a pc for 2012 that running windows without the need to buy another one, I think you have it backwards. Apple is will known for making their products no long updatable after a few years. you're right - I did unfollow (long term FL Studio user).
Actually the logic one mixer track assigned to one audio/instrument track is there in FL studio using the "track type" setting in the playlist
Studio One looks similar to Logic
Which mac do you recommend in 2024 for logic pro x?
The same can be said for Studio One ! When I first started producing 7 years back, I used FL Studio but quickly came to realize that it was a pain in the butt 😑
I couldn't afford a Mac so I had to go for a Windows alternative to Logic Pro and discovered PreSonus Studio One and I must say, it is the Logic Pro for Windows 😁
As of 2023 the latest release Studio One 6 looks, works and exactly feels like Logic Pro, even I could easily follow Logic Pro tutorials and recreate them in Studio One 😎
I wish people could understand how terrible Fruity Loops is 🙃
Yeah absolutely!!!

Both daws have completely different workflows, if they work for you great, but they are known to have 2 very different workflows, it's a fact ;)
@@musicbyplv I worked before with logic Pro. I think I started with Logic 7. Logic has one work flow, FL Studio has many. You can do the same thing in different ways. And this is why in music magazines for the past 7 years FL Studio is number 1 or 2 best DAW. But I think is more about taste, not work flow.
seems like you didn't really understood fl studio. whatever that flex time/pitch, fl has it, newtime & newtone
It's nowhere as good (for me)! If it works for you then that's great, it just means you found the right daw for you :)
I agree with your conclusions. The only thing that’s a pity is that Logic doesn’t come with a good harmonizer and pitch corrector out of the box (Melodyne is much better than what comes with Logic).
I still prefer FL studio but I'll be watching your videos to slowly learn Logic along side... Who know I may or may not need to switch. 😎👍
If Apple didn't end up buying Emagic's Logic in the first place. It would have smashed FL completely

Hahaha yeah absolutely!! That's a great mindset 😎
And price? Really? As if anybody is buying anything 😂😂 especially if they are just starting out
The bigest downside to Logic is that you can't prelisten to MIDI files, like in Cubase, FL, etc.
EDIT: Awesome Video, instant sub and like :)
FL is nice to run as a plug-in inside of Logic. Gives some more synth choices.
That is awesome! Im glad you were able to find your DAW :) Curious to hear your thoughts about Logic when you try it!!
@@yuhzpree It's @musicbyplv
Yeah that's really the only negative although Im really happy I switched to mac from windows as well ;)
It's worth getting!❤
I used Logic after FL Studio because I needed full MPE support, but I think they both have strengths. There are still many features I find myself wishing for in Logic. It depends on the task I'm working on too. For example, if I'm making sound effects for a video game, FL Studio has better tools like Edison. I find myself using both DAWs.
Yeah absoolutely agree! That's why Im saying it's good to try them and find the one that works best for you ;)
Fl 11. Not 20 or whatever, since 10 years, i stick with fl 11. Idk if i would switch
I'm glad there are people out there in the EDM scene that also prefer logic, I feel like there's not many of us out there 😭
5:10 i remember when ma tracks were looking like that
Wait Is that rolipso track ?
If one used all the discounts the all plugins bundle would cost less than $350 dollars for FL which still makes it more than Logic but it is available for Windows and Macintosh which brings more users to FL which may be preferred DAW for certain music or producer.
Great testimony! I've subscribed.
Thanks so much! Welcome to the team ;)
I'm wondering if logic pro has a mono button?
The thing that most fl studio tutorials dont tell you is that the pattern system that most people say to use is confusing. theres an easier way to organize stuff in the daw to treat midi tracks like most daws do. Again though, a persons prefered daw depends on their workflow
The Logic Pro stock plug-ins are sooooo good. Alchemy alone is easily a $200+ plug-in.
True!!!! ✅
Fun fact: Alchemy WAS a $200 plugin when it was still made by Camel Audio and before Apple bought out that company
Switching from FL to Logic was a good workflow change. Switching your workflow can allow you to try things you never tried before.
Can I ask how do we make money off the music we produce?
