It may be a background detail but I love the lower-detail AI soldiers fighting off of the map to add in atmosphere! EDIT: Also the amount of no-HUD footage here pleases me greatly
For me its bittersweet, I always liked how everything you saw on the battlefield (soldier, tank, plane, etc) was being controlled by an actual human player behind it and wasn’t just scripted or controlled by AI. But at the same time i totally understand how important atmosphere is on maps like these and know they would feel less epic and empty without the extra AI controlled stuff in the background.

He did not, this is the best review of the new patch and trust me I've seen most of them. The angles, the narration and cinematography were superb and Jacks video was good but it doesn't even compare to this video. Before you at me for being a Fan boy I like Jacks channel more but Flak did a better video.

Really interesting to see the infamous “Garand Thumb” make its way in as an animation! I actually cringed seeing the guy get his thumb caught on the bolt, I’d imagine it hurt a lot! Any Garand owners done this to themselves by accident?
You can't do it while reloading. You can get it with the bolt not being locked back while empty and it's sitting on the follower. Never had garand thumb but I had one slam shut on my right index finger.
I love how for a top ten, he only spends an average of one minute on each one but gives all ik the important details, like in my opinion, this is an example of a good top 10

Yay I only live 1h away from the Yorktown and I do recommend going for a visit of the amazing history that you can see an explorer I also do recommend the ghost tour as well there has been sightings of ghost and random things that happen. Enjoy!!
0:33 That’s the Junkers Ju 87 or “StuKa” dive bomber. It was known as the first accurate and precise dive bomber. It went through many versions during the war. It had V1-V5 and each one featured either a weapons system upgrade such as improved bomb release systems and/or mounted machine guns on the back to protect from trailing enemy fighters. This plane model was used throughout the entirety of the war and some world war museums have models of them to view which are actually really cool to see in person. Definitely recommend researching it more if you’re interested in ww2 history!
My grandfather drove an LST during WWII and was actually at the Iwo Jima landing. He told me that as soon as the ramp went down the tanks and jeeps would offload and the wounded and dead would be loaded.
Of all the amazing details, there’s one key element to the Victory of Iwo Jima. That of the “Navajo Code Talkers”, who relayed messages continuously within their Native Language without a single error in their time of services.
That slight detail of the left hand not holding the safety under the m1 garand was a really really slight touch and i acc wasnt expecting it hats off to the animators

The USS Yorktown CV-5 actually survived but was immediately returned stateside for repair as it was critically damaged. You can actually take a tour or freely walk around the Yorktown in Charleston SC as a part of their naval ship exhibits. They even have a submarine there as well. Definitely worth the price of admission
Now i have a reaseon to reinstall BF5 imagin this being there from the begining and that the pacific trailer was the actual reveal trailer for BF5 things would have gone diffrent for this game in a possitive way
This game looks really good. I really, really wish they'd just give us a client-side toggle for, if not the female soldiers, then at least just their screams. It's not even an immersion thing, I just don't like the sound of women in distress. Oh well, guess I have other games to play.

Good detail they added "Yamashita Treasures" which they hide in caves and they are closely looking for more Historical details in Battlefield V Edit: Yamashita is Also hidden in some Pacific Countries such as the Philippines which they invaded and hide the Treasures on the Caves there are so many caves in the Philippines that has "Yamashitas"
Wood planks is also used on any tank with tracks or wheels for e.g. in the siege/war of Marawi (Philippines) against ISIS, the Philippine army used wooden planks to prevent any RPG from hitting and penetrating through the armour which was a very effective idea, they were also good use against grenades, other explosive equipment and devices (such as IED's) even armed-weapons.
I actually live about an hour north of USS Hornet (CV-12). Like Flakfire said the original Hornet was sunk but a CV-12 was also named "Hornet" and resides in Alameda over by San Francisco as a museum ship! I have been on it many times and it is always an amazing experience!

Also, if you ever get the chance to come to California (maybe Dice L.A. or something like that) you should go to the Bay Area and visit the Hornet. Imagine if DICE had put this much love and care in the core game at before release. Instead of pandering to social justice warriors... BF5 would have been a huge success.

Flakfire took my BF1 tags a while back & is the reason I learned about his channel! It was the first time I’ve seen exclusive dice only tags and looked him up while I was playing. I tried so hard to melee him myself after I saw he was in my XboxOne game to get his tags but couldn’t pull it off!

I’m super excited for this update. I still get goosebumps when I play BF5 but now if seeing one of two of my favorite carriers is going to be awesome. USS Hornet and USS Enterprise are my two favorite carries during this war because they saw a lot of combat, but sad one was sunk. They are beast ships and really shows you how the Americans weren’t that easy to beat
Was able to play using the M1 last night. The Ping was sweet music. All the new weapons are winners. The vehicle upgrade trees are crazy now. Soo many options now.

Flakfire took my BF1 tags a while back & is the reason I learned about his channel! It was the first time I’ve seen exclusive dice only tags and looked him up while I was playing. I tried so hard to melee him myself after I saw he was in my XboxOne game to get his tags but couldn’t pull it off!
At 7:42 he mentions the inspect weapon feature.
He states that its "I" on PC...and then speaks in a native tongue indicating you hit something* (sounds like "camarose", but thats not a thing and stuff) and the reload button what it is is on console...can anyone tell me wtf he said there?
At 7:50 he says this foreign indecipherable word.

It's the commorose button. Simply hold bottom right trigger and there you have it.

I’m super excited for this update. I still get goosebumps when I play BF5 but now if seeing one of two of my favorite carriers is going to be awesome. USS Hornet and USS Enterprise are my two favorite carries during this war because they saw a lot of combat, but sad one was sunk. They are beast ships and really shows you how the Americans weren’t that easy to beat

I believe Jackfrags said that the little red house is a calling card for a specific level designer who played a major role in designing that particular map.
